Physical Appearance of Chiron Conjunct The Ascendant

chiron potMatthew Asks:

Saturn on the ascendant makes for mice cheekbones. Jupiter on the ascendant makes for chubbiness. Has anyone noticed an observable, physical effect from Chiron on the ascendant?

Anyone?

Physical Appearance of Chiron Conjunct The Ascendant — 106 Comments

  1. Oh, chiron is conjunct my ascendant and yeah it may be in the forearms…I mean I have skinny arms in general but my forearms are the same width as in the words of WWF: ‘pythons’ – LOL. My last b’friend said I had female Popeye arms…nice eh???

  2. Forearms?! I have chiron conj asc and i dont have popeye arms..my partner does tho and he has sat & jup rising (he also has great cheekbones). Chiron is about wounds that dont heal, so maybe it’s about having a wounded look..scars maybe, a physical wound for all to see. I dont have those either but i did grow up physically very quick (fully adult sized by the time i was 10 )and felt like a big freak during school years which has maybe stayed in my psyche, always in the back of my mind i’m a big clumsy freak even though i’m ‘normal’ now. I got a lot of attention from men at a time i didnt need it, cos i looked so much older and with a buxom bosom and booty and this made me hideously self conscious and protective thru my teens and prob through my twenties too. Took me a long time to embrace my body (venus conjuncts as does NN).

  3. I seem to have noticed an association between Chiron and circulatory/neurological problems involving the limbs… deep vein thrombosis and Restless Legs Syndrome in particular. Anyone else…?

(Oh, and in my original question I meant “nice cheekbones” not “mice cheekbones.” 🙂

    • Okay, well,my progressed ascendant has just passed my natal Chiron…so for, I guess about the last year of a bit more… I have been experiencing major pain in my joints…and nerves …. it started earlier than that, but it’s been really bad for a year now so that it affects how I move and my activities, in the am an late pm…

  4. prominent noses. distinctive profiles. on men.
but, well, the only chiron ascendants i’m aware of were born with chiron in aries. really jagged profiles, actually. and skinny.
but i’m not going from a lot of examples here.
it’s hard for me to describe.
but both of them were abandoned by a parent. (or two.)

  5. Chiron conj asc + appearance, I am a tall 5’9″ well built woman who has alway been convinced that I should be a 5’2 blonde, very petit, thus talking my chart- chiron is where you are wounded, I am in the wrong body !

  6. Very late to the party. I’m female, a Chiron square ascendant in Gemini, and I have very skinny forearms (although I quite like their shape). I do have a prominent nose though, and also visible scars, and do not feel comfortable with my physical self. I’m also a medical student, haha. Yep, wounded healer in house of Self…sounds about right.

  7. Love these old posts…

Chiron conjunct my Taurean ascendant…no big forearms, not super tall (5’6″), I do have a slightly interesting Italian nose though. 🙂
I do have a scar on my left eyebrow (from a drunken tumble many years ago) and my belly button from an appendectomy.
How about tattoos…perhaps those are “visible scars” in a way? One on my back and another on the nape of my neck (pisces glyph!).

    • hi alicia, i’m surprised reading your post.
my chiron also conjucts my taurean ascendant.
i also have an interesting nose and more surprisingly i have a scar on my left eyebrow too.

            • I have Chiron conjunct sac in Taurus too!

I can’t agree with anything that has been mentioned regarding my appearance.

But I am without a doubt a wounded healer – I’m an acupuncturist, herbalist, birth doula and body worker and have spent my life in a lot of pain. I help people learn how to accept and embrace the pain as a way to deal with it.

Also Venus is conjunct my ascendent too. I imagine that that influences how Chiron. “Looks” to the outside world.

  8. Don’t know why people keep coming up as anonymous but suspect it has to do with the work on the site last night. Will have that fixed asap. Sorry!

  9. jupiter rising is not chubby here.
speak for yourself. In libra 30 sec from ascendant sextile saturn – curvy feminine – nice teeth – great skin –

  10. funny..
i also have chiron conjunct my ascendant which is in taurus… and i also am 5’6…. and i also had an appendectomy when i was 15… and I also have a prominent nose which i’ve always hated!

  11. What about chiron square ascendant? I have it and problems regarding my looks too. I am too tall, too self conscious about my legs to wear bikinis or skirts and I have very prominent circles under my eyes which make me look tired all the time.

    • I have a Chiron in the third house square my ascendent In Sagittarius. I have a very bad blood circulation in my legs since I was a kid. Interesting!

  12. @Alicia: Chiron is on your ASC too?!?!?!??! I remember we both have a Taurus ASC and you’re Pisces;-) I just read something yesterday that made me want to investigate this whole Chiron conj ASC thing a little further…..I did find some VERY interesting and eerily accurate explanations via google, but thought I’d do a search here as well to see if any actual human had any insight;-)
Are you (or anyone else here that has it) well-versed or knowledgable about this placement? other than physical appearances?

  13. Thats so weird. I am also Chiron conjunct ascendant in Taurus whose 5’6″ and has a prominent nose that I hate! Weird. I’m not pisces though and didnt have an appendectomy yet. I’m aquarius.

  14. Hi,
I’m relatively new to astrology, but thought I would give my input anyway. I have Chiron conjunct my ascendant in Taurus in the 12th house. I’m extremely skinny and somewhat tall. I do have noticeably large forearms, but I blame that on working in a frame shop. My sun is in Sag, so I feel quite centaur-like and definitely relate to the “stranger in a strange land” feeling. As with others, people always seem to comment on my “striking eyes.”
I recently began studying reiki and energy healing so I got excited when I heard about the healing role of Chiron. I have had type 1 diabetes since childhood and while you can’t tell by looking at me, without insulin injections I would die. This has always been a deep wound both physically and spiritually, but now I feel that by exploring and meditating on this wound I can use my experiences to help heal others as well as myself.

  15. i’m late on this post but just got here through a google search. my chiron in gemini is conjunct taurus rising. mostly i look like a taurus except for long limbs- 5’9- height seems to be a recurring theme here. i was painfully shy as a child and teenager, which relates to the gemini- wounding in communication, for a little while i didn’t speak at all as a child. i was also self conscious of my height and of blushing, but much less as i get older. as for my ‘presence’ i’ve been told it’s in various ways striking or unusual, and some people are uncomfortable just being with me but i can’t point my finger on why…people seem to have different reasons….or maybe it’s the hooves…

  16. Alicia and jennydablock – I have too Chiron conjunct Ascendant and prominent nose, appendices removed (3 scars on stomach) and i am 170 cm tall. Strange!

  17. isn’t this going to affect the head…I have gemini near ascendant not conjunct…so i can’t really answer…it’s less than 10 degrees but still too wide for a comet…

  18. Know someone who has this aspect. Plenty of tatoos (that are kept hidden under clothes) and plenty of scars from accidents that keep happening and happening (never met someone so accident prone, but this may also have to do with mars opposition asc). And eyes full of pain and warmth and generosity..

  19. I have Chiron conjunct the ascendant in Aquarius and have those developed forearms everyone is mentioning if I work out. I also have a scar on my eyebrow, prominent nose, restless legs (I seem to bounce my legs up and down rapidly if I am feeling ill) I’m told I have an understanding yet faraway, (other wordly?) magnetic look in the eyes, and a friendly, electric-magnetic, all-embracing feel. (though that might be my Venus-Uranus opposition very close to the ascendant) I also have a cleft in my chin, which is probably Uranus aspecting the ascendant. Mars in Taurus squares my Chiron, so there are issues with my brother, who is Taurus.

I have noticed if I don’t do meditation or chanelling of any sort, the energy turns in on itself. I also prefer being colder than too hot, because I make a lot of heat and energy. Does anyone relate to these issues?

  20. Also late, but also chiron (in the 12th) conj asc (gem) and I do have a prominent nose, the other worldly eyes and had my appendix out. I also achieved my height at a young age, as someone else mentioned. this is all very interesting

  21. OMG…just discovered today I have chiron conjunct ascendant in taurus and like Alicia I also have a scar on my left eyebrow and also little scars on my forehead and depressions left by pimples on my cheeks……scar on left eyebrow seems to be a constant with this placement and I am 5-11.

    • I have chiron conjunct my sag ascendant. Also, I am a leo. I have a scar on my left eyebrow & have always been told that I have beautiful soulful eyes. I have always been a caretaker of everyone & have never felt that I completely belong here

  22. Hey! I have Chiron on the ascendant in the first house in Taurus. I have Venus on the mid heaven. My parents died both before I was 20 and I was a heroin addict from 16-22. So I guess I have scars on my forearms. I am a model and singer and make money from my looks I guess. My wound is from my family/addiction but I’m
Also wounded in that I am always overweight despite a pretty face and all I battle with is bloody getting into shape! It’s an
Obsession and constant battle. I have thighs like KFC silos. Haha. I have a little bit of a crook in my nose 🙂 I’ve definetly healed myself from addiction and numbness through spiritual studies and through learning unconditional love I song about that in a metal band. One day I hope to be as astrologer. Love the thread 🙂

  23. I also have chiron conjunct ascendant (and venus) in Pisces which is opposite pluto on the descendant. I too have a prominent nose which has battered my self confidence all my life. People tell me I have a kind face and photos show an otherworldly/far away look in my eyes. I gained my height (172cm)early (I was the tallest in my class until I was 15), skinny arms(!) and restless legs. No operations but a degenerative spinal condition that I must take care of or it leaves me in a wheelchair. Most of my wounding in life has come from women in my life who have wanted to dominate me (venus-pluto perhaps?). Anyway, a fascinating and healing post :-).

  24. Hello:)

I have chiron conjunct ASC (in gemini), also mercury conjunct ASC, and Sun too.
I am 172 cm, skinny, delicate, petite body ( looking very young). I don’t have prominent nose but it is little bit asymetrical. When I was 7 years old had an accident with glass bottle on stairs, which lives scar on left side of my chin. Another one is on left side of forehead.
As a child I was very shy about those scars. These comments are very interesting 🙂

  25. Hello 🙂 I have Libra asc with chiron conjuct.

I have a scar not too noticable on my cheek, long skinny limbs, and deepset eyes…..
    Awkward looking. Oh well

  26. My nephew, bro’s son has kiron conjunct ASC, jupiter and neptune and he was born with a small defect in his sole, it turned inside, but with medical care he is ok now.

  27. Taurus ASC (10’45) Chiron conjunct (10’45)in 1st. I am 5’5, very petite, no appendectomy, small scar on right temple but that never bothered me. I have a visible tailbone defect that has plagued my self esteem since I first noticed at about age 10…. My wound that will never heal, forever affecting my physical appearance 🙁

  28. Greetings 🙂

I’m Taurus rising, Chiron 12th conjunct ascendant (orb less 1 degree). I have bronze tanned skin, strong arms and I’m 168cm tall. I have chironic eyes, charismatic body language and I work in the medical industry. I heal and I serve. Life mantra.

Take my clothes off, and I am streaked with scars from five abdominal surgeries, stretchmarks and two c-sections, all under the age of 25. Older now, and very much healed but when I was younger, I was very self conscious about nudity, now I don’t care and wear my battlescars proud!

  29. I have chiron (gemini) square ascendant (pisces) and have a very large, prominent nose and asymmetrical face. Last year I was diagnosed with a bone tumor which required limb salvaging surgery. I’m now obviously WOUNDED (I need a walker to move around + a wheelchair for bigger spaces). My right leg is basically a rope of scar tissue.

Before all that, I had a vague sense of being/appearing wounded (self-pitying pisces?), but also saturn square asc, so that’s tough too.

It’s definitely a wound to the the self-image, so a wounded sense of self. whether this manifests physically seems to vary.

  30. I know someone with this aspect, Chiron conjunct Ascendant in Taurus, 1st house. The cheeks are slender, nose rather prominent, and chin pointy. My husband says she has a witch face. BTW she is also a bully. I saw this aspect described elsewhere as “getting bullied” but the opposite is true in this case.

  31. I have Chiron conjunct Ascendant in Pisces for a solar return and I have just found out I have got a spinal degenerative disease [ Chiari / Syringomyelia ] .

  32. Im sun, moon, and ascendent in taurus. My ascendant intersects my moon and chiron.

I have very expressive glowy blue eyes. But Im short, with a sporty build. Many of my planets are in libra so i think that smooths out the taurus stockiness. Im very strongly influenced by Venus.

As for chiron… it intersects my ascendent along with my moon. My mother got sick when i was four and her illness made me feel the need to hide my feelngs. Her issues always were so important. So i really struggle with fighting and expressing my own needs when some one else needs something.
    U
But then i sometimes overexpress… like im making up for previous losses.

    Thats how chiron affects me.

I have a very small nicely shaped nose. But i have so much ven

  33. I’d never had the most positive view of myself but when I hit puberty I dealt with major self esteem issues. It was mostly from acne scars. I withdrew into myself and it was a chore to even leave the house. I’d cake make up on my face which probably made me look worse lol. I’m finally at a point where I guess I’m coming into my own. My face has cleared and I finally look in the mirror and see someone who’s pretty and probably always has been.

I’m much gentler on my face now. I have a pretty simple routine of natural cleansers and light make up (virgo rising) which I’m a lot more comfortable with. I don’t have a prominent nose it’s kinda button looking lol but it is pierced. I’m also 5’6″ and thin but I’ve been told I have a cute figure. My eyes are pretty fluid. Admittedly I do have doe eyes, people are always asking me if I’m okay or if I’m going to cry. It’s pretty annoying sometimes lol.

As far as childhood goes my dad did leave when I was around 4 and my mother remarried. My stepdad’s a bit domineering and bullying, I deal with issues standing up for myself. He doesn’t like me and I kinda wish it was just me and my mom. I did also have some random bullying incident a few years ago in high school. I lost my id and a few weeks later someone copied my picture onto fliers and scattered them across campus saying rude things. It was so random I was a really unremarkable student, not really popular not unpopular.

Ugh I didn’t mean to write so much lol, sorry.

chiron in virgo (1st house) square venus, opposite moon. ascendant (widely) trine venus; square saturn, jupiter and pluto.

  34. After returning to this thread after so long….

I see the connections and similarities of Chiron Rising peoples! Something only we can truly understand.

The wounding that permeates our very being but also gives us a depth of compassion and healing for ourselves and others which comes after we cross that Chiron bridge of healing.

The physical similarities and life experiences are also strikingly themed-wounds, for many of us Taurus Chiron rising-appendectomies -prominent noses-a distinct gaze-5’6 height range-skinny forearms-restless legs-

I wish we could all share our photographs-to see the eyes of our Chiron rising peoples that only we can truly understand.

    Much love and peace

  35. Chiron rising, in Capricorn. Nose is good, profile good too – but yes on the circles under the eyes: “Old before my time”. Felt like Golda Meir from a young age. I was pretty hot in the day, still can pull it off – but there is always something broken and pitiful and a little off even if dressed to the nines. Like perfection, but with a such a blatant crack that it makes you suck your breath in: oh! no! Sadder because it was *almost* really amazing… Good teeth, but one is front tooth is darker so I have to smile small. See? Sigh. This stuff works, doesn’t it?

  36. I have Chiron conjunct my ascendant in Pisceas, have in recent years experienced my Chiron return & currently have TChiron on my ascendant, TNeptune on NChiron & TChiron trine NNeptune. In terms of physical features or characteristics I don’t believe there are any that would distinguish one with Chiron conjunct the ascendant as opposed to other people or signs, aside from these types appearing to be deep in thought, sad, & very accepting or patient – Chiron transits will teach you these traits eventually even if you don’t possess them originally. I had a very serious case of acne as a girl, also a dreadful surname & insensitive parents; as an adult I’ve felt very confident in my appearance but now am not so positive – my teeth & weight are a concern & I honestly believe part of Chiron’s job is to knock the ego out of you. A lack of confidence & poor health are definitely part of Chiron transits so look out for these if you’re fortunate enough to sight one of these rare creatures, they’re usually hiding out in a cave somewhere until the transit is over!

  37. I’m also extremely late.. but I also have chiron conjunct asc in 1st house Taurus. I have a scar on my left eyebrow (ran to the mirror to double check it was the left), tiny arms but giant forearm muscles, I’m 5’5″ and still have my appendix. Nose is pointy, eye bags. People consistently comment that I have the saddest eyes in the world. Tons of childhood trauma. Was and am still bullied (sadly, as a teen, also developed some bullying behaviors for self-preservation against bullies). Never had body issues, but then again, it has always felt like I was peering out of this strange shell that wasn’t REALLY me anyway. Can’t wait for the healing aspects to emerge. Interesting post!! Thanks for sharing everyone!

  38. It’s shocking all the similarities. My Chiron in Taurus is square my Leo ascendant. I’ve always been ridiculously skinny, and since I’m 6 feet you can imagine the limbs. Funny thing is the month my progressed ascendant went into Virgo (I didn’t know astrology at the time) I decided to do a liquid cleanse, I lost weight that I was never able to recover. I have prominent circles under my eyes since I was young that became more noticeable in my early twenties. And I got a bump on my nose. Which when I was made fun of a lot. I became sensitive about my nose/profile. Before that I never even noticed it because from the front it suits my face.
I’m here because I’m trying to work on my self-worth/respect/esteem/love. Because I’ve neglected my body so much that I started building up food allergies, and struggling with a digestive disorder. No forearms, sorry to disappoint.

  39. I have Chiron (0’4degree) Scorpio, conjucnt my 1st house/Ascendent in Libra, I also have moon in libra,12th house conjucnt my libra ascendent. I have scoliosis and I found out later in life and it’s not that bad but that’s the only visible scar I can really think of, I also have a birthmark that is the color of wine and it looks like a burn and when I was younger people would kinda bully me about it and they would also tease me about being really pale. I was never severely bullied but I definitely lacked confidence for a while and it’s taken me a really long time to be confident with my body. My eyes are green with a reddish hazel center and sometimes they change color. I used to self harm a lot and I still have a few little scars but nothing major. I read somewhere that the eyes of Chiron conjucnt ascendent are like strangers sometimes and I definitely have that. I feel like because my Chiron is in Scorpio and it’s in my 1st house it brings a little Scorpio energy to my apperance. I feel like Chiron in Scorpio also makes me a bit of a strange healer I’m not sure how to describe it…hope this was helpful…it’s nice to know everyone’s story !!!! :*

  40. I have chiron in the first house conjunct my asc (libra). I was a big kid. LOL I really stood out because of that and it brought really negative attention as you would guess. I was/am basically a pushover. After I turned like 13 i lost alotta weight and slowly became attractive (LOL I’m not even kidding} anyway people still continuously pick on me trying to find flaws and ways to pull me down, for absolutely no reason. After the childhood I had I would never ever do or say anything that could hurt anybody, the thing is now when they throw bullets at me (constantly on a daily basis) It doesn’t hurt. It feels like it’s their own inner pain they’re trying to get out so they’re lashing out at me. I think you guys can relate to the feeling. No matter how much people try to hurt me I’m strong enough now to help ’em by just taking it and offering them genuine constructive kindess afterwards. I’m pretty cool with the flaws now and I think my forearms are kinda big(LOL) my nose is umm.. alrigthish? I’m kind tall (5’8) I have big feet and bacne, I have a pretty sick scar on my knee and a 3rd nipple and for the first time in my life I can say that and be really fricken happy (/_\)! Loved reading all the stories, you guys are amazing <3

  41. The party don’t start ’till I log in! Haha, sorry I’m late. I’m a 5″6 Pisces male with a Libra moon. I have a Virgo rising with Chiron. The similarities are uncanny. I have those dreamy Pisces eyes, along with being deep set with the bags under them that people have mentioned in this thread a plethora of times. My nose is extremely prominent, I plan on getting plastic surgery for it one day. I have really bad acne scars that I’m also insecure about. My chin is petite, at the same time as having a very sexy jaw line that I love. I don’t thin my face is very symmetrical at all, but I think everyone has that problem. Whenever there is 2 of anything, one is always going to be different. I think my Libra moon saved my looks to an extent, I have had no problem getting the hottest girls in high school that would cheat on their boyfriends to be with me, and more than half the time I would get hit on by straight guys that had girlfriends. The guys always said “I’m not gay, but there’s something about you that’s different”. I have a very skinny yet toned body with HUGE calves. My scars never fade, I don’t know why. I have a scar from a dog bite on my arm that has been there since I was 4 (I’m 20 now), I have a scar on my stomach from when a bike handlebar impaled me during an accident, and I have self harm scars on my wrist from middle school that don’t want to go away… It sounds weird, but I like it because people will understand my pain XD My legs are very energetic (restless leg syndrome I assume), I’m always running and pacing around, and stomping anxiously to myself really fast when no one is around. I’m glad I’m not the only one, I thought I was nuts! XD
I do have a very “Wounded healer” persona, I have Capricorn in the 5th house (House of fun, education, having children, ect..), and wherever Capricorn (or Saturn) is in your chart, it restricts you from that area and makes it Hell for you. I have had such a sheltered life that I make human contact with people in my age group about once or twice a month if I’m lucky, I feel as if I missed out on my childhood. I’m 20 years old and still a virgin. When I was 16 I dropped out of school for 2 years, but I came back and finished 4 years of school in only 2 years (minus the one class I’m doing online now), and made straight A’s doing it. I plan on going to college for Astronomy or some shit like that, so I can be a true success story. Anyway, you get the point that I was restricted from very serious things, haha.
That really adds to my “Wounded healer” persona, and because of that, I can make anyone’s problems seem not as bad, no matter what the case is. Don’t believe me? Lay it on me. ;x

  42. Hello. My bf is virgo rising with chiron conjunct his ascendant. Sad, beautiful eyes. Very similar to what Jake said but many of that could be both being born in the same year And same ascendant with saturn in 5th. He is 20 and he is still a Virgin. As am I. He got bullied. Became depressed and wanted to commit suicide. He has a college degree in therapy And loves to help people. I think people take out their aggression on him. His parents treated and still treat him like dirt… According to what he says and what they seem like. He just takes it from others. He has no self estee. weird cause he is a leo. He has saturn on the descendent. Funny cause based on my chart I AM saturn. It’s so strong on my chart. He fits the description of wounded healer. We have both felt a spiritual purpose in helping others with our psychology degrees. I have north node on my ascendant with his sun on my descendent. Chiron falls in my 5th house and I am attracted to chiron people from everything I have read.

  43. He has dark circles under his eyes and a prprominent nose that looks like Jakes nose and those posted on the website of chiron rising!!!! he has a heart defect which is pretty fragile…. And he has a very curved spine.

  44. Hi all,My chiron in 1st House Pisces rising, but chiron in Aries, gave me scar on right side of upper lip when I was small baby, acne scars, surgery scars, stretch marks, honey colored birth mark on right leg, childhood injury in spinal cord still making my spine weak, was somewhat unnoticeable in school, varicose veins (one of my cousin died of deep vein thrombosis). Always feel need to help people.

  45. Hey everyone, first post, what a hell of a long and delightful thread, late to the party or not!

I have Chiron conjunct my Ascendant in Gemini, both 23 degrees. I also have to say, I’m very surprised by everything I’ve read here, regarding Chiron and their appearances – not that I doubt anyone else’s accounts, but I genuinely really like my own appearance.
I’m a Pisces sun man, 6’2, “mesomorph” build, and I guess/think it’s all thanks to Gemini perhaps? Giving me height and agility, or I’d be your stereotypical Pisces – short, round, etc. I have the Pisces Eyes that’s for sure. Tall/dark/handsome and built, no complaints on my genetic appearance dice.

Chiron Aspects: Both Chiron and my Ascendant are square my Pisces Sun (15 degrees) in House X. I also enjoy my Chiron+Asc being opposed by Uranus+Saturn in House VII.

My takeaway/story/current life transits: Chiron entered Pisces in I want to say off the top of my head late 2011, and will leave Pisces for Aries in 2018. I believe I started my “Chirotic journey” in 2012ish. My health has been deteriorating rapidly over the past few years, and it had all been impossible to figure out. Just general chronic pain and nerve damage, with no discernible causes whatsoever. To keep things short, (I knew as of feb 2015) I have autoimmune disease, lupus – a mostly invisible illness, and it’s damned hard to diagnose or find tangible traces of. People look at me and *assume* I’m fine when I’m in absurd levels of pain, and pain flares come and go. It’s far worse when stressed, as it’s a disease of the immune system literally attacking me.

To try to make a long winded point, on 28th December 2013, one of my closest best friends killed himself, and I was in more stress than ever. For 3 months after his death, I became *sensitive to the sun itself, and avoided sunlight or I’d be in pain*, a common symptom for those who live with lupus. In retrospect, I consider myself *very lucky* in this regard – this brought my disease to the surface and out into the sun (no pun intended at all..), and I don’t suffer from it on a regular basis currently (knock on wood).

Right around my birthday in March 2014, Chiron was forming an exact conjunction with my Natal Sun. And, the weird thing is, the following month in April, when Chiron went on to 16 degrees, I have stopped being sun sensitive ever since (knock on wood) – well, in times of severe stress it will happen.

Anyone care to take a stab at the symbolism of an invisible illness/autoimmune disease that causes pain from sunlight, and how it happened right on transiting chiron to sun? I could go on about my personal story and how it’s affected me, but Chiron in Pisces from 2011-2015 so far has been my hardest years on earth for sure.

As of 2015, I came to terms with everything, and have really started a brighter path – dedicating myself right now to educating myself on many healing paths (astrology/psychology included), and finally have answers as well as my illnesses under control. Totally Chirotic themes at play here, pain and illness forced me to extreme lengths to find answers, any means necessary to get better, nothing “just worked”.

  46. Chiron is 9degrees Aquarius in my third house.
Seperated my a parent at a time in early years true. I’m an immature person. True that led me to write songs for a few young artist, they are hits out globally now. True I took a chance as many times before by not copywriting. Searching for famly approval family I havn’t seen in 53 yrs! Record companies must adore me. I wrote hits as a teen in NYC also over 35 yrs ago same family non official agent. Same put off story of f-u kid. Had I known parents had their own understood unorthodox marraige. Little did I get it. What a coo for Broadway prdcrs. Creative properties bought cheap. Entire scores of songs paid maybe just 5k each. To the agent!!! Our greasy friend who had adopted my whole sister. Little did I fathom all that. Later for the book I hope.

  47. I’ll say the hardest thing is Saturn near your rising. Mine is. Yup that’s why I knew all I could do or did well and better choice was write. Tvfilm loglines. Songs. They all sell by a agent for 5k a show or logline or 5 songs for same cheap price. Sure I was a natural dancer but a transit of Saturn in Scorpio cannonballed me from nyc’s borough of Bklyn. To Florida. Never wanted that. Sure. That’s it a Jupiter like thing near your rising is great. Just a bit much. Imagine you Saturn with it. I’d look great on a book cover just don’t ask me to act on a soap opera. Ghastly lighting eeech. I got an injury at birth that sops up highlighter makeup powder. Contour!!! Wish I had been a Bway dancer. But no at least I graduated high school. Planning on continuing for an AA at least

  48. I have Chiron on the ascendant in Aquarius. My face shows my emotions. I can’t hide my feelings. I can appear really beautiful and also seriously awkward and nerdy. Don’t think any of the above physical characteristics are applicable.

    • yes i have a daughter and a close friend with chiron conjunct Ascendent’s -plus iv done astrological counselling over many years – so know other too – i don’t think chiron affects looks much , that more the other planets aspects .
Its more of a wound to the ego and the sense of self esteem ‘never sure they wanted to be born or they don’t belong somehow
‘ each storey is very different but Chiron apart from healing fellow fighters on battlefields actual and Spiritually- learnt from his own wounds, pain and experience’.
Chiron in this position can make one audacious and good at standing up to the bully or big -government usually using skill and great intellect honed through the the pain and suffering of dealing with their own struggles.
they might not be aware of this great gift of power untill pushed.

  49. i have saturn in Sag on my ascendent (seven degrees into 1st house) sexile chiron conjunct venus in aquarius and trine mercury in Aries, both chiron and venus square the moon as well… restless leg syndrome, several long term chronic pain patterns, wounded by women I’ve cared for, also tend to find attention wounding; I don’t have “mice cheeks” w/saturn rising, but people often assume I am in a difficult mood, ask me to smile etc, and people project their father on me all the time… oy. so tired of that…

  50. chiron pieces conjunct my 0 aries ascendant: yes to the strong arms- I am an archer ( practicing this sport for over 13 years) yes to the dreamy grey-green eyes, yes to the scars & a littel tip: lavender oil dissolves all scar marks. and yes to sad backroubd and always attracting people going through transformal growing pains. yes to the healing.
yes to supporting 2 friends through their cancer- until the day they died.
i personally hate the waves of pain – coming out of nowhere, that seem to be part of this natal placement.
any fellow chiron ascendant out there have advice on how to deal with this?….

    • Well…i got chiron in 1st house Libra. My ascendant ruler and sun are conjunct in Scorpio, plus Pluto conjuncts my sun, all aspecting my asc, so I look pretty scorpionic. HOWEVER despite their influence, I’ve got also got a scar between my eyebrows, the undereye circles, and scoliosis. Also I’ve always wanted to work in the medicine industry since I could remember and people instinctively come vent their personal problems to me whether I’ve know them for 10 sec or 10 yrs…
As far as internalized shame and chronic aches go, i’ve found that channeling that pain into a creative outlet or even teaching others helps. Chiron aspects my scorp sun so there’s a transformational quality there but probably any chiron aspects in a chart can hint to at ways to release or at least use the pain. For instance I’ve noticed that I can transform what I feel from these wounds into poetry and drawing even if I can’t verbally express it. Idk it’s not easy and took me while to find something that wasn’t destructive so I guess it’s up to u!
I thought this pattern throughout the thread is interesting…bulky lower arms and legs… Back problems… Hmm.. Sounds like things found in people who regularly lift and bear heavy burdens!!! Ha. Maybe a physical manifestation of the emotional loads we carry?
Anyway good luck and I hope you’re blessed with the joy and relief you deserve!!!

      Now about your request…
A comment about your “waves of pain,” in hopes it may be helpful to you.

This is my experiences with phantom pains, however I have had the pancreatic pain, the gall bladder pain, and some kidney pain at “one” time each, also had surgeries for hernia, and a few others, and know gut distress and stomach ache, acid re flux but none of these nor knee pain, sciatica, or my hip and spine arthritis can explain this other strange not diagnosed phantom type pain I have experienced on and off most of my life, details as follows if you are inclined to look into this: with my successes and techniques working for me.

      To preface:
Some say nerve pain can radiate from the effects of TMJ
      (Temporal Mandibular Joint)Displacement syndrome
ask your dentist or chiropractor to determine this, it is the Jaw joint, Often due to many causes in this case of the aspect I presume that it could be found in persons with this aspect, due to, the self esteem and self consciousness causes tendency to grind teeth at night overtime misalignment can occur or just hold tightly jaw clinch which impacts the hepatic nerve causing stiff muscles in neck, rib cage pain, even back pain, mostly though phantom pain from the arms feels like weakness and venous pressure but it is pulse like in waves with no particular rhythm or rhyme for it unpredictable, in my experience very close to the phantom experience associated to this aspect. Also tingles in the fingers/hands can occur to some.

Hard to suffer what is not understood:

I found a denial from people who do not see the injury not being apparent and therefore, seemingly to me, cannot comprehend the stress and pain. This misunderstanding and refusal to support a person in pain was difficult for me emotionally coming from some people close to me as well although it impacts the day to day experience and ability to distraction.

It was debilitating at the height of the experience for a period of a couple months in my case. I can describe it this way: Like the pulse of the old fashioned 1950’s flash bulbs used on old cameras which had a kind of pressure wave following the light of the flash bulb. That feeling I noted felt similar to the puffs and waves I attributed to this syndrome, as if in my “auric field” and/or skin neuron receptors gone awry expanding inches beyond the skin, a strange neurological phenomenon if it is not effected from these choices that I have opted to suggest as theories herein.

The experience is like there is a balloon type wave that passes within the core/arms/to the feet and I visualized that it is like a “Torus field” perhaps generated from the chakra as my personal theory? It starts soft, gets puffy, gathers to a puff or release and quickly subsides. No set rhythm. No way to know when or if another was to follow. No fever or chills associated with the episode. Short couple of seconds in duration.

Mine was solar plexus area chakra, and sometimes heart chakra, but it feels in my experience like the throat – thyroid has been slowed and tighter, and one or combination of the following experiences made it worse such as lack of interest, lack of thoughtful self expression, injuries, shocks, or environmental, or unknown causes.

When I have had shock and/or serious psychological pain/chronic stress residual due to not being understood, blamed or victimized, or incident physically that caused exacerbation and return of the syndrome was not far behind, psychosomatic, neurological chemical reactivity? Ruled out.

However, my seeking some allopathic MD explanation for this experience it seems turned out to work against me, thereby, alienating for me. Although for me disappointing and without recourse as they have no clue apparently, how to aid me.

      Could these things trigger/contribute to?
There has been suggestion by new age and science groups on this “era” time we are living in, regarding our place in the galaxy, the alignment that Earth is being affected with multiple factors including gravity waves, solar radiation, and magnetic field flux with the solar winds and a reverse solar wind/galactic waves, so pick your favorite as a trigger for ramping up symptoms, and healing crisis opportunity while each of us has to adjust terrestrially. Could these be factors in this experience?

These factors apparently experienced in the recent past globally over the past few decades, ensure that these put more stress on us than we realize. Many of these occurrences haven’t happened to human beings for thousands of years, and has not been experienced by our recent ancestors.

DNA activation and energies, that change our genetics may activate these feelings along with normal terrestrial living conditions/modern living, stresses, conditions/pollutants/sedentary lifestyle of our culture, may contribute in unknown ways, in my opinion, are not to be ruled out as potential triggering factors.

I experience these feelings as odd puffs, poofs, and releases-which- seem to be very apparent and impossible to deny or ignore. As a wave of water may be channeled into a shore rock feature compressed and splashed by the force, but the energy simply feels like a pulse.
Not from blood pressure, nor imagined or normal organic nerve pain either, something hard to put to words.
Not comprehended by medical establishment that I have found, as they look stumped when I describe the experience.

If it helps, if this sounds like what you are experiencing I offer you information about my own process, over time I tried many things to cope,
      What worked for me:

DBT Dialectical Behavioral strategy a take off of Buddhism style “meditation” practice formed into mainstream practice that counselors use and groups gather to practice and learn has helped me to deal with these difficult to diagnose scenarios as does also. Search it, you may find a group in your area.

Working on increasing relaxation with breathing,

      Checking the facts,
      Checking in with yourself,
      awareness and
      choosing to remain calm.

Taking time for myself rather than rushing to aid everyone else was the key to allowing time for self care.
I am inclined to make others feel better, fix problems, resolve issues like a superhero to my own detriment.

Get supportive and understanding people in your close proximity and drop the vampire types that usurp your vital force, trigger you mercilessly, or make demands that are excessive, they will find someone else to parasite. You don’t need to be their victim.

You need to keep what works; release with love what doesn’t, and repeat.

I increased organic vegetables/fruits kept regular meals.
      reduced toxic foods avoided GMOS.

      With meditation

and in time the experience lessened, waned, then subsided.

I noticed I felt more empowered to take time for me with practice and intention and with attention to the emotions, acknowledge them, resolve them, transcend them.

Self expression, self awareness, speaking truth… yours.

      Free flowing Expression helps,
      writing.
Acceptance of the situation, lovingly release it, see the gift hiding in it, be grateful, and conscious releasing of it, believe in your power to effect your own outcome with the power of this assertion, belief, and practice.

Stay to the middle road. Moderation, with this and anything in life. Humility is a good policy to stay clear of extremes in any area of life and you can maintain this clarity and your flow to your best outcome.

I have not heard anyone speak of these symptoms before your comment. Your words reminded me of my own experience.

So I hope this helps you in some way and is not too far afield of your meaning.

      One additional thing,
Drinking water seems ubiquitous to many cures for the body however I cannot stress to you enough this one thing, even doing non caffeinated teas or any way to stay hydrated has an immediate impact on reducing severity of this feeling/experience.

  51. I should add that even though I have chiron/venus sextile Sag ascendent/saturn, and thus am not chiron asc. the forearm thing is true… my forearms are one of my best traits; I’ve rolled up the sleaves of my shirts since highschool to show them off; and I use my forearms, wrists and hands to make distinctive expressive half gestures and touches; my forearms “dance”

  52. Chiron conjunct ascendant here with it in Leo, My Sun is also conjunct with my ascendant and thankfully gives Chiron a run for its money.

In terms of how I look I am female, 5’7. I can’t say that my forearms are too great lol. My face is square my hair is basically black and I have a pretty nice set of eyebrows, in terms of my eyes they are dark brown and at best, I’ve gotten “mysterious” from others. I have been told numerous times that I look intimidating, which I find hard to believe since I try to be as laid back as possible!

    LETS GET REAL

I have experienced in the most literal sense a wound to my face. When I turned 18 and as college freshman I was struck with Bells Palsy(facial paralysis) on the left side. All was good UNTIL it decided to become permanent!

My biggest fault here with Chiron and my appearance is being denied the ability to smile and be open as I’d like to without feeling embarrassed about my facial features!

The paralysis wrecked my world but I later pursued two reconstructive surgeries over the past years(I am now almost 22) and hope to become 100% again.

I can’t say whether it was because of Chiron, or the Uranus present in my 6th house that caused the sudden paralysis. But I still find it extremely literal for my Chiron placement.

  53. Aries Sun & Rising..

In Aries- 16 deg Rising…. 17 deg Chiron… 26 deg Sun and 28 deg Venus. Stellium in Libra (of course including moon.) Mercury Pisces in 12 at 29 degrees…
A bit much to chew, but am getting through it…
I got this for sure,,,Appreciating the pain and lessons….

  54. Chiron conjunct cancer ASC. 24. shattered front tooth. harry potter-esque scar on forehead for 6-7 yrs. constantly getting wounded ( I work with animals) but I don’t scar as often anymore.

  55. Hi there,

This is just so interesting…don’t know about the forearm thing (why is that a thing?) I have 14 degrees Aquarius rising – Chiron is 15 – on the other side is a stellium with Sun in Cancer at 27 degrees and 5 planets in Leo (!)
I found a video on YouTube that is pretty haunting – just all these faces of people with Chiron on the ascendant https://youtu.be/DRCQP7m30kc
Felt a lot of recognition watching it.
I have always been super self-conscious about my looks. It’s amazing how much people have commented on them through life – lots of negative, but also people calling me gorgeous and obsessing on me – I always wanted to just not be so noticeable! Ever since I was a baby, all the photos of me have this arresting quality – something extra, mostly a profound sadness, pictures of me as a little girl with tears streaming down my face…

  56. Hi,

I’m rising gemini 2 degrees and chiron is at 4 degrees.

My best pal has the same thing.

I think we both have sad eyes… or emotional eyes. But a certain sadness… even when I’m not sad… unless I’m grinning (sag sun!)

Moon at 22 degrees taurus, north node, 27 taurus, ascendent 2 gemini, chiron 4 gemini.

    It’s allll together!

  57. I have Chiron in Gemini conjunct Ascendant in Gemini. I believe it is the reason for me being very hairy, since nobody else in my immediate family is hairy — that always left me confused. Chiron is a centaur: half-horse, so hairiness and big thighs are perhaps Chironic.

  58. chiron with an exact conjunct to asc in virgo at 22 degrees, i also have a strong scorpio stellium which may effect things…

light blue eyes i’ve always been complemented on, no facial scars- however covered in freckles…. i have been chubby my whole life and it was always been a HUGE issue for my self esteem. damn that perfectionist virgo… but anyway relatively small forearms and wrists. i had blue hair for years! i’ve been changing my hair color since i was a freshman in high school (that mutable energy w the idea of transformation u know) small feet, small nose. i have mostly small features except my tummy! figures…

just got a job in social work which makes sense.

i can’t believe all the taurus rising w chiron! do you all take your looks/appearance into high regard? are you extra offended/sensitive to comments about your appearance?

  59. Chiron conjunct asc Sag 1st house, Libra sun, a nose too prominent that’s made me feel self conscious plus some small facial scars. Neptune conjunct sun – big issues with feeling other’s pain. Used to numb myself with substances, now reaping health consequences. Lotsa physical pain as prog sun passes over natal chiron and asc!

  60. Chiron rising here, in Taurus. I’m petite and thin, 5’2″, sort of prominent nose (though small for my family). Venus also in 1st house so I have heard I’m beautiful (though I don’t alway believe it myself – 12th house sun hates attention). I notice minor assymetry in my face. No visible scars but some mild scoliosis (assymetry!) and have some back pain. Suffered from major depression starting at 13. At 17, I was hospitalized with drug induced psychosis. I got clean and have been in recovery for 19 years now. Classic wound that never heals. Sun in 12th house factors in here, I’m sure. Also I struggled a bit with bulimia in my teens.

  61. Chiron conjunct Ascendent in Pisces opposite my Virgo Stellium. I’ve got no facial scars but I do have a mole underneath/side of my chin and have battled weight issues most my life; also I have an autoimmune disorder and sometimes I limp when I’m in a flare. And come to think of it, I do have a prominent nose!

  62. Taurus sun with Chiron conjunct Jupiter and Ascendant in cancer here chubby yes, tall no, not so prominent nose its kinda button like and sad looking eyes check. No scars though. I struggle with weight issues. Was bulimic at 15 but corrected myself with help of my sister. We should always see which sign the conjunction falls in, cancer = moon shaped = round cheek bones, kinda small sad eyes even when I’m happy —> so far its true for me.

  63. I have Chiron parallel the Ascendant. I find parallels very similar to conjunctions. I had an underbite when I was a child. It was corrected with braces/headgear. I have a somewhat prominent nose, and my profile is sort of jagged, especially when smiling. I’m tall and have very pretty, thick long hair (leo rising) and model-like features and emotional/intense eyes. Poor and awkward posture. I have sharp features similar to the model Gisele Bundchen, but minus her gorgeous teeth and lips. I also have two tiny scars beside my left eyebrow.

    • I forgot another interesting thing. I never got my two top lateral teeth. It’s genetic. So not only did I have headgear, but also had artificial teeth attached to my braces. Later on, attached to a retainer/partial. Now I have a butterfly bridge where the teeth are glued on with brackets on the adjacent teeth.

It’s quite interesting, because I am actually pretty, but I do have some “wounded” stuff going on, which some people think makes me look prettier. My husband is one.

Someone above mentioned how they have a pretty get awkward look. That’s how I am too. It’s not uncommon for people to suddenly (Uranus trine asc) notice I’m pretty. I get you’re “actually” really pretty. Or some people get fascinated with some aspect of my features…like theyre thinking, how can she be pretty and ugly? It’s very awkward.

I was bullied in elementary school. I was very shy and very wounded.

  64. My boyfriend has Chiron conjunct his ascendant in Taurus. He is 6’6″ tall and a very big man. Sometimes overweight, sometimes not. But always big. Big nose, big teeth, big everything! lol

His dad was not a part of his life and his mother and grandmother died before he was 11. His mom died in his arms. He was raised in a boys home.

  65. Double Aries, Libra moon with Chiron smack dab on my Ascendant. Physically you can see the Chiron show as prominent foreheads, and very soulful eyes. I have a scar on my forehead from an accident at 3yrs old, my frame is slender.
I work for a treatment facility now, though I’m going into past life regression.

  66. I have Chiron tightly conjunct my 24 degree Gemini ascendant. I’m a Leo Sun and I’ve always had this mane of wild, golden hair – my trademark. I suppose my appearance is quite striking, with the big bushy hair and oversized cat’s eye glasses. I have high cheek bones, and a somewhat distinctive nose, which looks quite regal in profile. It’s a bit larger than I’d like it. My eyebrows are slightly asymmetrical and I have the Leo almond-shaped eyes. My resting face is either spaced out, anxious, or haughty. I’ve been told I often have a faraway look in the eyes, and my close friends seem to be able to read my moods on my face. I’ve often gotten the comment that I wear my heart on my sleeve; let’s just say I’m shit at poker! Sometimes I feel like I project an aura of power and dignity, but other times I feel quite raw, and vulnerable. I seem to attract the attention of predators, as well as people who are in emotional turmoil. I’m a very good listener, and have often found myself taking on the role of therapist in my circle of friends, or when I was teaching one-on-one English classes. People seem to open up to me easily, and will readily tell me their life story. I don’t have any facial scars, though I do have plenty of scars on my knees and legs from falling out of trees/ wiping out on bikes. I used to have a mole right in the middle of my chin, and was terribly subconscious about it until I got it removed at age 14. Like a lot of Chirotic people, I was bullied relentlessly a kid, which may have had to do with moving city a lot. The bullying peaked in middle school, which was so traumatic I’ve repressed most of those three years. I was also dealing with problems at home: my dad is a bi-polar Scorpio, with women issues, and he directed a lot of his rage at me, or something in my personality seemed to trigger him. (I also have Lilith tightly conjunct my Venus, and more widely my Sun). I was also fiercely protective of my younger brother and mother, and would often put myself in the path of his emotional abuse, as I couldn’t bear to see him hurting them. My relationships and path in life have always been somewhat unorthodox. I’m a poet and PhD student living between Spain and England, and my partner is considerably older than me. I suppose it’s taken until age 30 to come to peace with the fact that I never would have been able to hack a regular 9-5 job, 2.5 kids. Transiting Saturn is almost exactly opposite my natal Chiron now, and I’ve found myself meditating on my rather painful and chaotic childhood. Though the process has been raw and uncomfortable, I feel like I’m finally releasing negative thought patterns and behaviors that have stemmed from the bullying, and daddy issues. These experiences have gifted me with compassion, a well-spring of creativity and perhaps even healing abilities. Though I sometimes feel like I’m channeling more collective wounds–a blessing and a curse–I’ve been lucky enough to be able to channel this into my poetry. I also read tarot cards and the natal charts of my friends. What a fabulous thread – thank you!

  67. I have chiron conjunct gemini asc 3 degree orb. I’m very pretty to most… but i do have alot of freckles. Also… I am super shy
