How Bad Is The Divide Between People At This Time?

So here's the scenario.  I really ask people to think about this hard...

You're on a jury.  Someone is suing someone or some company over an injury.  You find the company liable - everyone does. There is no question in this regard. You know have to decide the size of the monetary award.

Let's say that via some method you can discern the political leaning of the plaintiff. And to keep this simple, let's assume you're right about what you're assuming.

Would it affect the amount of the award you would support giving the person?  If they are on your side, dial up. The other side, dial down... maybe even way down?

It occurs to me this is where we're at today. You can't reasonably expect to show up in a court room with the expectation your case will be judged on the facts.

This is chilling to me.  Like how did we let it get this bad, if it is this bad?

Thanks for weighing in.

I don't know how it got that bad but it REALLY is that bad.  We have politicians urging crowds to get more "confrontational" if a guilty verdict isn't found. No discussion of due process and letting a time tested system play out.

I think the "wiped" personality thing you were discussing plays into this--making it possible.  It's like things that we commonly knew yesterday....knew for SURE...are gone  and replaced some kind of ideological word salad. Like there is no such thing as biological sex. 2+2 =5 is a meme for pete's sake.

The division in the country is caused by our government and the media.  Our government divides us into groups; black, white, asian, gay, trans, straight, male, female, democrat, republican, etc.  We're not one America because of that.  Then they pit one group against the other to encourage disunity, not unity.  The media makes sure to promote this disunity message 24/7.

Outside groups also reinforce the disunity message, further stirring the pot.

There is a clear divide, but its being imposed on us.  They want to keep us divided so we don't look at what they're doing.  The Great Reset.  If you listen to the government talking heads, MSM news and some of these outside groups, you're going to start hating all kinds of people.  It's mass brainwashing.

My sister is a liberal.  I have liberal friends.  They have different views than I do.  So what?  We don't talk about politics much, its more about family things, personal things.  They feel the same way I do.

If I was a juror on a trial, politics would never enter into my decision about anyone.  I would go by the facts of the case even if I didn't like the person for whatever reason.  Our legal system is a joke at this point, but I would do the right thing.

They may not be able to get a jury together. Some people with vaccines don't want to be around unvaccinated people and vice versa. This is a bit off topic but also on topic, the divide!!

I would also do the right thing but it would be hard for me. Just because of the angst in the room.

I can be in this virtual world forum. If I really think about it, I'm not sure I'd be fit for a jury. I'm too sensitive. And too Libra. Codependent. Like if I thought someone was cheating someone, I'd try to compensate. JoFrance, I would want you on my jury but I would not want me!

We'll have to add vaccinated/unvaccinated to the division list. That's the next thing they'll try to push. I'm waiting for the day where the unvaccinated will be banned from participating in society.

So far, I've never been picked for a jury, thankfully. I worked in the legal world for many years. A lot of cases are so boring it would be hard to stay awake. I'd have a hard time in some cases doing the right thing too, but I'd do it anyway. I would be the hold out on a jury if I thought it was the right thing to do, based on the facts.

It will take a long time for us to be united again, but I think it will happen.  Maybe that will be the focus of the Pluto in Aquarius transit.

I could be on a jury. I have no problem remaining objective in spite of my like/dislike for someone.

I'm so tired of the division. I just keep thinking, I've got kids to raise in this environment and people are making it so hard. How helpful it would be if people could look deep within themselves and stick to some kind of morality/ethics - and turn off the darn tvs. Right is right and wrong is wrong. I guess we all have different definitions of that right now, though. Maybe if people could stop trying to police one another it would help.
