My MIL and I have Moon within one degree in Capricorn. If that’s any indicator, then yes, my Husband married his Mother. kiss

My grandma died before I was born, all I know about her is she was artsy and she let my dad live at home until he was 45yrs old. From that I can gather that my dad definitely DID NOT marry his mother.

Astrology wise – My Mom is a Libra Sun, Aries Moon, my Grandma a Pisces Sun, Sag Moon. My Mom has a Virgo stellium, my Grandma a Pisces stellium.

I don’t know anyone besides my parents who are married yet :P I wonder if my brothers will marry someone like my Mom. I don’t think the Libra would, but I can see the cancer marrying someone just like her.

Good question. I have no definitive answer to this, except that I see a good number of women who like to “mother” their spouses, which makes me wonder if some women marry the sons they hope to have. But hey, if the system works for the people involved, more power to ’em.

My Mom always says she married my Dad so her children would be tall, smart, and have good hair :) My Cancer brother has shit hair, but 2 out of 3 isnt bad!

Hmm i feel i’m opposite than his mother, since she is more independent than I am, and doesn’t take kindly to following a man, she’s been single a long time, but she’s not looking; she’s wayyyy too choosy anyway. Her ex – my father in law is a Double Virgo, with Scorpio stellium, very intelligent and savvy. (she’s alot more airier with two major planets in air -venus/Jupiter).

ETA: reading Nymzie’s post above, i honestly believe she was attracted to father in law for the high genius intellect, which passed on to their son. (she is very very smart herself, and i can tell she don’t want less than, but she’s humble).

ETA2: omg duh. I just realized i’m similar in that i love ’em super smart too. :P sigh. Ok, there are some similarities, but not Always.

I would say they definitely do. Even if it doesn’t seem so at the outset, over time, the similarities reveal themselves. My father’s mother was a Leo with either an Aqua or a Pisces Moon (not sure of the birth time) who became chronically ill when he was a child and depended on him, more or less, until the day she passed away. His wife, my mother, a Pisces with a Cap Moon, had struggles with mental illness and also depended on him until they divorced. My father has a Moon-Saturn conjunction in Virgo, so you see how this has played out.

There are numerous other examples of this that I could bring up. A man I used to be close to had an awful mother, and he married a sociopath. One of my uncles by marriage had a father who used to smack his mother around, and he married my aunt who was financially dependent on him and also let him abuse her, until she finally left after 30 years.

It’s the Moon. It’s that thing we feel we need in our lives, even if it isn’t exactly good for us.

I think our husbands share Venus Sign. And that might be the key.

Hope I get it right this time. Posted my reply to the wrong damn thread. Neptune is eating my Mercury for breakfast, lunch and dinner. No. I am nothing at all like my ex-husbands’ mothers. Both women are uber traditional and nurturing.  Family first, always. First one is Leo, second is Capricorn. To be perfectly honest I should not be a mother but I am and I struggle mightily. As I type this I am wearing one shoe. My thermostat is at 81 and my carpet is littered with magazine clippings. I do not clip coupons. I make collages. Tonight I am going to record punk rock songs using a $20 keyboard and mic. I’m a joke of a mother. My ex-husbands fell in love with my inner wild child. I am classic manic pixie girl.

Well I’ll say this interesting bit. I am definitely defining myself as a soul of a man having a woman experience in this lifetime.  I know what I know I feel like a neurotic unnatural woman and whatever. But two famous mediums confirmed I was a man i the past life, one said I was biblical and the other said I was a military hero with dark features ;) Back to the question: yes I would marry a woman if she was like mom. Because I love diva’s. My mom is a total diva , its so funny. The details of my mom’s life are funny. I am so attracted to a woman that is not attainable. Its not easy to explain. She’s intelligent like mom, funny, beautiful, sweet, and a diva. But guess what? My brother he married a woman like this too!! She reminds me of  Cleopatra big time! I wouldn’t be surprised if its actually her because I dreamed about it too ,it was a confirmation dream. And that woman that is inattainable she keeps showing up in dreams and making love to me :)-

And conversely I have never married my father HOWEVER…it is quite interesting to me that the man I loved most deeply, the man I wanted to marry, reminds me a helluva lot of my Taurus dad. Like Dad, he’s an alcoholic and a native Texan who loves to watch football with a can of beer in his hand. He has a Taurus moon. Like Dad, his social skills are lacking. He’s a good-looking weirdo who likes to drag women by their hair into his cave. He is a genius in the kitchen. Some of the best moments of my life were spent eating with my ex. He’s the only man who ever inspired me to cook. Like my dad, the love I felt for my ex was unrequited.  I tried to win his heart. It was always out of reach. And he’s fifteen years older than me. My dad was nineteen when I was born. ETA: Taurus is my MC. I am certain that my third and final husband will be an earth sign.

That’s so interesting! Its interesting also how you know yourself and others close to you very well too. Sorry to hear the unrequited part, I know that with divas too well but one particular one is a seemingly strange connection. Hope you find the right man!
