I got a job I applied for which means a move by September. It's a policy advisor position for Inuit Education, helping to bring good change to the K to 12 system and to midwife transformation in the post secondary realm, as well as support language revitalization.
Like La Sirena I'm a wee bit gob smacked at good fortune out of the blue. Uranus in Taurus is good for me now. Also, feeling the gravity of it. I am going to have to bear down and commit for the long term. Bit scary. I feel karmic energy.

Some newish man my husband works with; his name is, "Doug", decided to talk to my husband today. I guess he's a little shy. He asked my husband, 'How come your parents gave you such a strange name?'
"Like, Doug?" my husband responded. Funny.
He did go on to explain his name to the man in a way he could relate. A lot of people in our era, especially around here, got their name from the bible. My husband did too, but it's not traditional. I just think it was cool, this guy learned something key today.
I also learned something new. One of the bible-named other men he works with named his goat after me. Ha ha ha.
When, Doug, found out I was named, Elsa, this was also near unbelievable. It's just a lot in a day. 
I got the best present yesterday lol. It’s a garbage pail kid card from the eighties with my name and it’s actually kind of a relevant title to me now as an adult too which is weird. I was telling her a few weeks ago that I always wanted garbage pail kids when I was a kid but my parents wouldn’t let me and how there was one that had my name and I had wanted it so bad. They are pretty raunchy and both my parents were very conservative. She surprised me with it haha:) I don’t know her well but I think she’s a Cancer. She’s a super cool punk rocker in her fifties and she’s just overall a rad person.

I remember these! My cousin very proudly collected them - I do remember them being mildly offensive haha!
Wtf, I was being nosy and searched my ex from 6 years ago to see that he was arrested for being publicly intoxicated (granted that's not horrible in and of itself, but he made a regular thing of this)... some people never change! Glad to have that behind me!
