The plumber was a good guy. He had is son with him. It must be spring break. This was a good looking teenage boy, maybe sixteen.
They were both easy to deal with, and they were patient with our four dogs. We talked quire a bit, considering the circumstance. He said water heaters last about six years these days. But I noticed, after he had to come back... And he also had to run back for an unexpected part, earlier, he was really stressed. People are really stressed right now. That's my point, and I mean, really!!!!
I have seen my living room colors in several commercials. Teal and red? It must be a new trend... Right?
My coach put this highlight reel together of me from my meet on Sunday. I am just over the moon about it 🤩. I feel better now and I’m back in my gym doing accessories mostly, this week. Let’s get this!
Those were my first and second squat attempts and I think I’m really proud of my second squat, 92.5kg/203.9 lbs. I did that for my third attempt last meet and fought for it, but made it. This time it moved better. So that’s progress! I want more lol
Daaaang, Allie you are a powerhouse. It's really amazing what you have accomplished within yourself and within the sport. Boundaries be damned.
I love the way the whole thing is such an example of the positive side of Pluto! You take ownership of your own power in a healthy and positive way. It's a strong and beautiful message. It lifts me up and makes me think l am capable of something more.
I think we forget the impact that coaches (and mentorship in general) can have in the lives of others. Knowing someone has your back through highs and lows in a bond such as that and to invest in the skill and confidence of another so fully and unselfishly does change lives. So glad you have that coach and your husband there for you. Congratulations!!!
Seems worth repeating:
Charlie Munger's prescription for guaranteed misery in life: Be unreliable, avoid compromise, harbor resentments, seek revenge, indulge in envy, ingest chemicals & alcohol, neglect to learn vicariously from the good and bad experience of others, cling to your existing beliefs.
