That is awesome. I’m assuming that guy has played a lot of ball in his life. I would bet that he’s developed really good intuition for balls flying at him, and really good reflexes for catching them. That’s part of his job as a ball player.

I was trying to speak to this the other day… about how we’re all training to perform in certain moments that we don’t anticipate in our lives. That guy “stuck the landing” right there.

My husband thinks it’s a guardian angel; his, hers or both.
Ball is traveling 90 mph give or take.

Yes. Personal experience. Nothing that quickly reactive, though.

I avoided major traffic accidents more than once by listening to β€œthat voice.” On one occasion, my passenger saw the two vehicles pass through each other on the front quarters. My eyes were averted from seeing it.Β

“Heads up, MF’er”. That’s what my husband said, her GA said to his GA. πŸ™‚

I wish we talked about stuff like this more often! πŸ™‚

I think they are both professional ball players who have instincts, training and skills that are finely and expertly tuned. And also that our “lizard brains” can perceive threats instantaneously. They heard the sound of the bat cracking and the trajectory of the ball. That being said, the second guy seems bewildered at how the ball got in his hand. His arm looks almost like it moves up involuntarily. Loving the first guy’s energy, “keep it on the field guys” lol.

Just to say, not that I don’t believe in guardian angels. My grandma has an amazing story regarding her’s, she believed it saved her life by pushing her out of the way of a semi.

Happened to me!Β  I was driving with boyfriend at the time on a state highway at night. Fog came in, and it was pea soup. This highway straight and flat, and a lot of people speed on it.

Without ANY forethought at all, at 60 miles an hour, I whipped my car onto the shoulder. A semi from the other direction flew by us, with a car passing him, in the lane I had been in. Had I still been in that lane, we would have been killed instantly, head on. It missed us by a split second.

I stopped the car, and we just stared at each other, and then my boyfriend said to me, “Nice job, sweetie.”

Right back at him, I said, “That wasn’t ME.”

It truly wasn’t. Not our day to die.
