These are apparently masks to be worn by crisis actors.  Is that not a trip?

Makes you wonder how else you might be tricked.

What are crisis actors?

@plutolover They are people hired to do things in public to create false stories. They get on tv in these masks and are interviewed by the press, for example. Their job is to deceive you.

In other words, "deep fakes" aside, some of the actors are real people, wearing masks.

It's like online forums. Bots try to post and break the site all of the time. But some people are real.. this is a work-at-home job. They come in a forum...like any forum, anywhere to influence people.

Winning hearts and minds as they say.

@elsa Thanks for explaining. Gosh, I had no idea! I guess it pays to always step back and ask questions before blindly believing everything you see/read/hear! Crazy!

@plutolover it's insane. Once the veil drops, forget about it! It's everywhere. Tricking the people.  It's despicable.

There is so much lying, an honest person is frequently called the liar... by someone who isn't even real!

A new twist, on an old, old wrongness.

Attacking someone's character, through underhanded methods - gossip is one.

Interesting that the masks in the photo are of old men.  Attacking us through what remains of respect for wisdom gained by experience.

"You have to admire their skill, though," said the man ahead of me at a cash register, about counterfeiters, as the cashier scanned the money.  "And having fine skills, they chose to do this?  Wow, if I were their mother, I would *not* feel proud."  Suddenly stricken, he looked as if he too was thinking of "what if your offspring is the wrongdoer," in compassion.

I think that all we can do is continue to encourage one another to keep using our discernment.  And all the other features of Mercury, keeping them honed.

This is number 217 in my list of why I like ElsaElsa, and especially, Elsa's thoughts.  And Satori's.  And Midara's.  And Tom Smothers (elsewhere, obviously) who encouraged critical thinking, way back in the 1960s.

(Loonsounds' list of how to annoy each sign, effectively, pops into my head now and then, still.)

Do I spy a certain Vegas corpse there?  Not surprising since some of us saw and saved live video of him at an Atlantic City casino with current news broadcast visible in background, four days after the incident...

Remember the lockdown protests in Michigan last spring? I hear that they used crisis to play both the armed protestors AND the healthcare workers standing off with them. Way to polarize the country further! ? ?

@notmycircus I suspect alot of these so called groups in media news are planted to cause division. I rarely watch lame stream news, not a fan of evil.
