What do you all know, think or feel about the Via Combusta. According to my sources, it means “The Burning Way” and its domain is 15Libra to 15Scorpio. Much more than that, I do not know. But I’m curious about it since my Sun, Moon and Mercury live between these degrees.

Thank you

Via Combusta mostly applies to Horary (specifically with the Moon), not Natal, I wouldn't worry about it. Via Combusta originally referred to an area of the zodiac midway between Libra and Scorpio that used to have a lot of fixed stars, but they have since moved on. However, the Moon is in Fall in Scorpio and that does have significance, especially if it is near 3 degrees Scorpio, the exact degree of its Fall. All it means if your Moon is near here is that your emotions can take you into dark places. It's not really a bad thing...you can become really awakened by going into the dark. Like that saying- sometimes you have to go through darkness to get to the light.

Thanks, thats interesting. I never knew there was an exact degree of the Moons fall. Mine is at 5Scorpio. Saying Ive been to some dark places is an understatement lol. I don’t consider anything “bad” anymore, truly.

So, how does it apply to horary then?

Via combusta is Latin for "path of combustion" sometimes 15° Libra to 30° Scorpio (yeah it says 30° Scorpio which we know us 0° Sagittarius) was supposedly unfortunate to the ancients. Moon in via combusta was deemed afflicted as if in eclipse. The malefic reputation, because of association with fixed stars such as Antares which have now precessed into Sagittarius. Via combusta is still used in horary astromancy using the exception of 23°/24° Libra, considered benefic as conjunct Spica and Arcturus. In horary the Moon in via combusta, sometimes the indicators of the outcome are not favorable to the querent, or to some the chart is unreadable.

Yeah, you would think if it has an impact via horary, it would also have an impact elsewhere. Really not sure. But as far as Horary, a Scorpio Moon is considered weak, and has a hard time "perfecting a matter".  But then again Scorpio is "debilitated' in its Fall and any sign in its fall or detriment in Horary has a hard time perfecting. So who knows if it's actually the via combusta influence or if it's the Fall influence. As Wimter Moon says, at 25 Libra there is Fixed Star Spica which is extremely benefic... so ...?
