NYC public school kids will now have “Meatless Mondays” in which they will be served vegetarian meals. The mayor is apparently expanding a pilot program done with a smaller group, to include all NYC students.

The idea is to reduce greenhouse gases.

Okay…..nothing against vegetarianism or veganism, but I am a bit concerned with where this is going. I do wonder if down the road, all Americans will be pushed to go vegan in order to support an agenda. Uranus in Taurus will and should make us all more aware of where we’re getting our food. I just don’t know about taking away individual choice.

My idiotic Senator, Cory Booker, is running for president and he says meat is unsustainable eek_gif.  Of course, he is a Vegan.  That’s a choice he made, I choose to eat meat.  Leave me alone.

The whole reduce greenhouse gas agenda means nothing if the rest of the world isn’t on board.

Didn’t Michelle Obama try to remake all the school lunches and the kids threw them in the garbage?  Unless its Pizza Mondays, I bet the same thing might happen again.  Big waste of time and money.  No kid wants bean curd for lunch.

There will be a lot of waste with kids’ lunches going in the garbage. Peanut butter and jelly sandwich with chips or cheese sticks, fruit and a carton of milk is vegetarian, too–but I guarantee any parent packing that for their kid will have the lunch confiscated because it’s not “healthy” enough.

By the way, I read the other day that greenhouse gases would only be reduced by 2.6 percent if all Americans went vegan!!

The other day, I read that decades ago, schools once had “meatless Fridays” due to having a lot of Jewish and Catholic students (Maybe this was in New York?). Mothers would come in and cook delicious pasta dishes, etc. for all the students. Whoever shared that said that would never be allowed today.

The wealthy around the world is buying our meat. What better way to keep the rich supplied with meat. It is difficult to sustain the population of the world with meat. Price it so that the poor can not afford it  Its already difficult for the poor to afford fresh fruits and vegetables. Just an excuse to feed children cheap processed foods. Aka Subsidized Corn products.

Remember how we’ve talked about robots in here?

This man was told, via a doctor on a mobile video monitor, that he was going to die, likely within days. I saw this posted in a nurses’ forum and there was little surprise there. Many of them pointed to the fact that our modern culture doesn’t like dealing with or talking about death. So why not send a robot to deliver news to patients and families unwilling to accept reality? Hmm. 🤔

My Neurologist told me to never be a vegan, raw or vegetarian because of the patients that she has had that ruined their health permanently eating like that.

I would be ok with eating meatless meatballs which sounds funny but I had some that were fixed in a crockpot and they were fantastic.

Mom tried following a raw diet for awhile, and while it sharpened her five senses–she started feeling weak. She had to go back to meat. Soy also did weird things to her.

Did the mayor stop to think about how soy affects kids’ hormones?

I’m vegan, but not for health reasons. If I wasn’t so easily grossed out by the consumption of animal products I would add fish and eggs to my diet at the very least. As it stands, I’ve been diagnosed with osteoperosis (and I’m not that old!), Vitamin D and B deficiency, and some hair loss.

But that’s your choice for you, so it is to be respected 😃, not matter your reason.

I hope you can find some vegan foods to supplement your diet or use supplements to get all the nutrients you need. If it is osteopenia it can be reversed with calcium and vitamin D and resistance training. But you said osteoporosis so I hope you can maintain what you have and not lose more.

I hope I’m not too preachy. I was diagnosed through a bone scan with mild osteopenia (I was 53) so my doctor told me to take a certain amount of calcium and D, and continue with my lifting.

All the best to you!

I had the same diagnosis in my early 50’s of Osteopenia after I had a bone scan.  Vitamin D and calcium reversed it all.  I don’t lift weights, but maintain an active lifestyle.

If that syringe is empty, better watch out for air bubbles – it’s not like beer or champagne!

Oh, yeah??

Well, that’s what I have to use to get happiness into my system.

Pluto and Saturn on my Moon.

Yeah, you know where I’m takin’ the shot.

Crash that piece of shit and I stepped away…
