Questions about Mutual Receptions

So I was reading this old post by Satori about mutual receptions because I'm trying to learn more about this energy and planet energy exchanges in general: https://elsaelsa.com/astrology/planets-in-mutual-reception/

I was particularly taken by this: "Mutual reception is particularly helpful when one or the other planet is in its detriment or fall (essential dignities), a sign where that planet is considered to be debilitated." If the above is true, then Pluto & Venus should be able to help each other out in mutual reception. There is a good example given between Venus in Aries (in its detriment) paired with Mars in Libra (detriment), but I am having a harder time understanding the Pluto in Libra & Venus in Scorp. exchange. So here's where I get wonky - take Pluto in Libra (detriment?) and Venus in Scorpio (detriment.)This is a mutual reception? Scorpio is ruled by both Mars & Pluto, so I guess it works either way?  It is easier for me to mentally separate the Mars & Venus example as they are opposites, seeing both Aries & Libra energies there. With the Pluto/Libra & Scorpio/Venus I am seeing Libra from the Pluto end but am not sure if I should be thinking of the Scorp/Venus as a Mars energy (Mars = traditional ruler of scorp) or Pluto energy, which just seems like more scorp. to me so harder to view it as a mutual reception. : s Does anyone have any ideas how this combination works? How they could help each other out??

Yep - Pluto in Libra and Venus in Scorp are in mutual reception. I would think that love to you is deeeep and relationships are transformative.

Hi Jilly smile

It sounds like this particular combination (Pluto in Libra & Scorp/Venus) might not be getting much Libra energy due to both ends having the Pluto/Scorp energy, unlike where in the Venus in Aries with Mars in Libra there seems to be more of an equal exchange (Aries and Libra.)

Am I missing something here? Is this pairing some sort of double Pluto/Scorp energy??

and planet energy exchanges in general

I have Cancer Mars and Scorpio Moon in mutual reception. I am grateful too! When one gets stuck, so to speak, I can switch on the other and get out of the mud. They temper each other as well.

It's a serious problem when they both get stuck on "open" though. My Mars is out-of-bounds at 25o declination. I become a natural gas well on fire. 🙁

@Stormlaughter

I'm still learning some terms. Out of bounds is when a planet is at the very top or bottom of a chart, right? Is it unaspected? Sounds like an intense place to be when stuck open!

So from what I'm gathering, if your wanting a break from your Scorp Moon you could bounce over to your Cancer Mars by getting active (Mars) in the activities of the house Mars is in? Say your Mars is in house 4. Hanging out with family would swap you out from Moon to Mars?

... Pluto in Libra (detriment?)

Pluto is in detriment in Taurus; a planet's sign of detriment is always opposite the sign(s) it rules.  From what I can tell via a quick google search, it seems that Pluto is considered exalted in Virgo, and in fall in Pisces.  (I was under the impression that this was still being debated when I looked a few years ago, so take with a grain of salt.)

Skyscript has a great section on mutual receptions, Roshambo.  Maybe that will help?  (FYI:  don't be tempted to skip ahead to the last part, the page about reception, unless you already understand dignities or you'll be lost.)
