Pluto in Capricorn or Neptune in Pisces? Filthy Stores!

Today I came across so many comments on Facebook talking about how nasty, cluttered, disorganized and dirty stores are the past few years. These complaints involved department stores, malls, Walmarts, Goodwills, etc. Clothes left on floors and not picked up. Or crowded together randomly on racks and not sorted. Merchandise randomly clustered together on shelves, again not sorted. Dirty floors and bathrooms. Rude or inattentive staff. By the way, the people saying all this said these things were happening well before the pandemic.

I’ve seen some of this for myself. At the Dollar Tree, Christmas merchandise was a hot mess and the shelves were dirty. At Michael’s, the bathroom was filthy and not one employee had cleaned or restocked all day. Even the Apple store, when I went there to pick up my phone? The staff was friendly but the tables were gross.

I go into stores now and try to overlook it because I figure we’re in a labor shortage and everyone’s at their breaking point now, so who gives a crap?  But then I wondered if this is a normal manifestation of Neptune in Pisces. But then again, failing businesses, decay of institutions, etc. is Pluto’s doing and a lot of the above-mentioned places would be big box businesses, so I’m guessing Capricorn-ruled?

How about the Uranus in Taurus square Saturn in Aqua, with Pluto being in Capricorn? 🤔 Seems to me that the unsteady structures which are tied to changing conditions of operation have maybe moved operators priorities elsewhere.

I would have thought that there would be more than enough labour to maintain the cleanliness, given how many are out of work.

@estella The Saturn/Uranus square likely accelerated the decline of store conditions (due to supply chain issues + labor shortage). But people were saying they saw some of these problems before the pandemic (when Saturn was in Capricorn) so I figured this was Pluto and /or Neptune at work.

As for lots of people being out of work—all I hear lately is “No one wants to work!” I’ve caught myself saying it. We also have The Great Resignation going on—people started quitting their jobs and training for better ones (many of them with less contact with the public), so there’s that. Case in point: In the nursing world, some nurses are complaining about a shortage, have been for years. Others are saying there is no shortage of nurses….just a shortage of nurses willing to work in shitty hospital conditions.
(By the way, hospitals are another place that is declining in cleanliness and order. One of my clients recently went to the local one. His wife said that while the staff was great, the rooms were filthy.)

@notmycircus Before the new year I read of the worldwide shift in attitudes towards work. All over the world, people are giving up their jobs either due to burnout or because - like you said - they want to retrain for something. The net effect is the same; we don’t have enough labour to maintain the standards we are used to. 😳
