My husband took the pic.
I just ran out for zytec. It’s working some. Jeez, I think this is going to be this way awhile. When I woke up, it was throbbing.

You need to go to an urgi-care. Swelling of one hand and not the other when there is no injury can mean a blood clot in the arm.

It’s important you go have that looked at right away.

I know you are fighting Lupus and that it causes systemic inflammation but that does not look good at all.

If you elevate it and after a time the swelling does not go down, that needs to be looked at to rule out a blood clot.

Thanks, soup. I am almost positive it’s an allergic reaction to 303 Marine Fabric Protector. It splashed on my hand and I did not wash it off right a way.

I’m leaving to get my daughter and grandson, shortly.

I did once get a food allergy where all my face was swollen…I ended in E&R three times…and having one hand swollen I’d have gone to E&R again…that’s just me!

If that’s an allergic reaction it’s a massive one!! If after your day out and a couple of days after it’s down it might not be a biggie.

Neptune can give weird allergies that look horrible and it can be down to a bad reaction to meds, household products, stress or mystery-Neptune (‘Who knows?’)

I am pretty sure of what it is – allergy. I say so because it responds the antihistamine treatment. I’ve also used a topical steroid, topical NSAID. It does react.

This is also the second time this has happened (with a different chemical), so it’s idiocy that allowed it to happen twice. Never again.

As for the slow fixing, that’s probably related to lupus. I do know this – I better get it resolved or there will be no surgery for me!

I have developed a number of allergies, lately. No clue why. But I had this same issue last year. Don’t leave chemicals on you skin. Big dud!

Yeah, makes sense about Lupus possibly slowing healing rate down. Nobody knows their body better than themselves, so I trust your diagnosis; especially taking into account your prior experience with this issue.

Take it easy, hope you are better soon!
