I’m just off a skype call with a client. She considered her chart to be sort of normal; I forgot the word she used. Jeez Louise, her chart was freakishly hard to read or interpret.
At the end of the call, she wanted me to tell her what was complex about it. I started rattling off a list of points… a list half as long would have been overwhelming. She definitely got the message. Er… everything goes so much deeper.
I do see charts that are very straightforward. Matter of fact, my chart is straightforward, which is good. I would never be able maintain this blog, if it were any other way.
Is your chart simple or complex? How so?

Super easy. Steliums in 1H and 5H, grand trine, Saturn on DC, Jupiter up in 9H. Neptune in 3H opposite Jupiter.
I think it’s easy to see. But it’s always good to get help bringing out the best or knowing what you can use, in any chart.

I might be obtuse (probably so), but I think this might require some standardized definitions. I think simple and complex might be interpreted differently.
The way I understand it, I think my chart is straightforward in its complexity. My aspects are all extremely to relatively close in orb, only one out of sign aspect, which may not even be considered an aspect, as the orb is wide.
I think it’s pretty balanced, though someone else might interpret that differently. I have an even representation of all aspects, elements, modes, and houses.
So where someone might see that as complex, I see it as balanced, and pretty straightforward.

My chart is pretty simple I think. Except using the equal house system my Mars in Aries is in H8 and Merc is in H7, whereas in Placidus, Mars is in H9 and Merc H8. That’s been confusing for me because I couldnt decide which house system to use for the longest.
I think equal makes more sense. When I have major transits to my Mars I never travel or start university, etc, but when I have major transits to my Venus in H9, I do. Also, when T. Pluto squared my Merc, I went through one of the most significant breakups/relationship betrayals of my life, so makes sense if my Merc is in the 7th house.
But my chart is pretty easy to interpret. Sun/Moon conjunction – simple, kindof, except understanding combustion of the Moon in a chart may not be easy. Venus-Pluto/Saturn opposition 9th/3rd axis. Sun/Moon square ruler Neptune. Neptune/SN conjunction.
Uranus/Jupiter Sag conjunction trine my Leo Asc and Aries Mars. That one is the most simple and straight forward, I guess. You can also immediately see it when you meet me or look at a picture of me.
I dont know, medium easy I guess.

I want mine to be complicated, but I guess that’s because I want to be special … hahaha
I have no idea if it’s complex or complicated. Does it show on the personality? Complex life situations? Karma? Is it just the number of aspects? I have plenty.

Complicated. How do I balance a straightforward 1st house stellium with my diplomatic Libra side?
I’m emotional (Pisces), but also detached (Venus in Aquarius and Libra stellium). Phew!
Add to that, I have a strong Saturn and Pluto energy in my chart. Serious (Pluto, Saturn, and Moon in Capricorn), but also light and fun (Libra stellium and Aquarius Venus).

Most planets are in “positive” aspects. Venus only aspect is square Neptune (so screw that) and Moon has Pluto, Saturn and Sun opposition but also trine Uranus & Mars, sextile Jupiter (I still haven’t figured out what to do with this Aqua Moon).
Graphically speaking it looks pretty solid, perhaps too stuck, even.

I think my chart is made complicated by the (what feels like) hundreds of hard aspects between Uranus and Neptune (0 degree conjunction) and my personal planets- only Venus is unaffected. It can get a little overwhelming honestly. Without them it would be a lot simpler and very synchronised with Sun, Moon and Ascendant all being in water and both relationship planets being in the Mercurial signs. The outer planets skew and distort things significantly. “Who the hell am I” is a question I find myself thinking a lot.
