Weekend Love Forecast – Grow, Stretch, Run, and ROAR

bridal showFriday night, the Moon finishes up in Gemini and moves to its own rulership in Cancer. Once there, it heads into conjunction with Venus, exact Saturday morning. When the Moon hits a cardinal sign, we get a collective emotional redirect, a centering of heartfelt initiation, and none moreso than in Cancer.

Friday night, the mood picks up on the building energy of Venus sextile Uranus. Are the collective values juicy? Have they gone dry, boring, brittle? They either accept a current of evolution or they go dark and eject the connection. If that happens, consider it for the best. Something was hinky there.

Saturday night, the Moon in Cancer heads into opposition with Jupiter in Capricorn, exact overnight. Sometimes we’re willing to overlook the big picture because our individual needs take precedence. Sometimes the big picture requires us to put those needs aside and join in to create or work on something bigger than ourselves. It’s possible to encounter both sides. In fact, it’s likely.

Sunday morning that Cancer Moon finishes up with Jupiter and moves through opposition to Pluto and Saturn and then on to square Mars. A trine to Neptune brings flow and a bit of anesthetic. Expect more polarizing challenges, but they don’t have to be upsetting or negative. In fact, whether or not you find answers or satisfying conclusions to your interactions, there are factors in play that are life affirming, calming, and invigorating.

On Sunday, the Leo Sun makes an exact trine to Mars, then Leo Mercury trines Mars as well. Mercury moves more closely into conjunction with the Sun. Whether or not you gain any ground or come up with the exact, right plan – do the planning. Have the conversations. Think about it while you do other things. It’s just this sort of creative mulling that brings about the best possible options and allows us to see and sense more of what’s really going on, and what’s really at issue.

As Venus moves closer to exact sextile to Uranus, it also closes a square to Chiron. Pain can be an indicator that something isn’t working or needs to change. It can also be a side effect of growth. Sometimes we have to change in order to feel better later. Sometimes it’s just the change itself that is painful and we’d call that a growing pain. Leo Mercury trine vigorous Aries Mars helps us burn off some bad judgement if we listen to our bodies and work to improve our minds.

There’s no better way to learn than through play. This weekend is the ideal time to play and stretch your body and mind in creative FUN.

Weekend Love Forecast – Grow, Stretch, Run, and ROAR — 5 Comments

  1. Signed up for a weekend writing intensive, with a writer and activist I so admire. Stretching the logistics of ZOOM and everything online to connect with her in Puerto Rico. Also have to grow a new approach to finding new place and new people to live with.
Your Sunday navigation: “Whether or not you gain any ground or come up with the exact, right plan – do the planning. Have the conversations. Think about it while you do other things. It’s just this sort of creative mulling that brings about the best possible options and allows us to see and sense more of what’s really going on, and what’s really at issue.” Is so encouraging and hopeful. Together with the creative writing PLAY could be fun, and I could learn something.

  2. Play in the dirt. Surprise surprise. And not think at all.

Have to dig and pot some plants I promised someone for next week. That’s the only thing I really gotta get done. Because I promised. Oh and I have a plant delivery to make tomorrow too. That’s it.

I had to look at the ephemeris last night. I was outside and so sensitized to the beauty of the evening that I could not handle it. Usually I revel in it, but it was overwelming. I am blaming venus moving into sextile with natal Jupiter. Too much.

  3. An “emotional redirect” is definitely in order for me personally, and I hope I am able to achieve it this weekend.

I also need to achieve some kind of balance and peace between my “big picture” and “personal needs” (ties in with the “emotional redirect” above).

On a more mundane level, my natal Cancer Moon will be making two batches of homemade soup: one cauliflower, the other red lentil.

Other than that, cutting myself some slack this weekend. I’ll continue divesting myself of possessions that will not have a place in my next (much-reduced) home, and start packing a few things that I intend to keep – but with no pressure on this front.

  4. You mention juice and pleasure and satisfaction a lot. Also needs.

I remember you writing about your natal Moon square Venus and jeans? Am I correct?

I do the same think every weekend, try to actually take over a pile of work I’ve been avoiding and then avoid it.

  5. I think my mars problems are turning me into some intolerant irascible unfunny Larry David type who rails at people when they do stuff I feel is socially inappropriate (i.e. keep an angry dog off a leash that barks at me and tell me to fuck off when I ask if it doesn’t like people).. people do what the fuck they do.. they don’t want to be limited or held to standards of politeness.. isn’t that freedom? I do what I do..
