Total Solar Eclipse in Leo: August 21, 2017 – Effects By House

I live in the path of totality of the eclipse. People are just starting to buzz about it.

Some are excited. Some are working hard to make bank on this thing. Others are trying to figure out how to keep the city lights from coming on; as they’re triggered to come on when it gets dark!

The fear mongering has just begun. We’ve been told to get what we need from the store, as they expect traffic jams.  One city plans to close all schools. I am sure others will follow suit. I have my eclipse glasses. I’m good to go!

I am not afraid of this eclipse, at all. It’s part of a “Kite” which includes, Jupiter (protection). A Kite is a Grand Trine with a bonus.  So I think it will be just fine.

Astrologically, the house where the eclipse lands will be highly energized.  Leo is a Fire sign, but you can also see Mars is nearby along with the n. node. I see creative drive in this chart. A desire to feel and to be vitally alive.

I expect the lights to go out. I intend to be infused with light and energy when they come back on.  The emphasis is not on the darkness but on the brilliance!

Here are some ideas for intentions…

  • Solar eclipse in the 1st house:  A new you. Super shiny!
  • Solar eclipse in the 2nd house: Love and money and self-esteem. Sparkle! Joy. Confidence.
  • Solar eclipse in the 3rd house: You’re the fun one in the neighborhood. The communications hub.
  • Solar eclipse in the 4th: Art at home. Your house as a showplace or stage where people have fun.
  • Solar eclipse in the 5th: Bold art! Dating as theatre. Flair!
  • Solar eclipse in the 6th house:  Shine in service or on the job. Make it fun!
  • Solar eclipse in the 7th: You’re the “IT” partner. Feel it and live it!
  • Solar eclipse in the 8th house: Light up dark places, fearlessly.
  • Solar eclipse in the 9th: Feel and live your beliefs. Shine out!
  • Solar eclipse in the 10th: The boss or parent who sets a great example.
  • Solar eclipse in the 11th: Party’s at your place!
  • Solar eclipse in the 12th: Share your light and positive energy with others; particularly those who may be suffering.

What do you have planned for the total solar eclipse?

Total Solar Eclipse in Leo: August 21, 2017 – Effects By House — 38 Comments

  1. I am hosting campers here, including a Lakota drumming and dancing group, plus many lightworkers who will be here in Gering, Nebraska for a metaphysical fair. My friends and I are working to make this a spiritual, intentional event with ceremony and prayer. Super excited and hope all goes smoothly as possible.

  2. No plans, as of yet. This falls in my 7th house. Not sure what to do since I’m terminally single. 😉 (It’s funny because I haven’t dated in a year & a half and I have no intention on finding someone new.) Maybe I’ll find a different way to partner? Should be interesting, either way!

  3. My 2nd house. .within 2 to 3 degrees of natal jupiter and pluto. I should feel something. I’m hoping great wealth . I can handle the responsibility.

  4. I’ll be lighting up dark places I guess:) plan on putting some powerful intentions out into the universe. But who knows what’ll come up for me? I won’t be in the totality path. But I can already feel the energy concentrating. Its getting very narrowed down.

  5. I think it’s cool! My sister is close to the path.

This falls in my 12H. I have been thinking a lot about retreating to center my spirituality and re-energize my creativity. If my light shines, it can shine for others.

  6. He, 7th house eclipse here as well.
I’m looking forward to revamp my existing relationship with a (until recently) very stress-ridden partner now off from work due to this mental unbalance in his system.

So, clearing, detoxing, reviving… bring it on, and let me have the wonderful man he is back (for the first time since we started dating actually…)

  7. Path of totality here too. Glasses ready for the whole family. We may drive out to the country to a field with a blanket to be out of the city….kids are being pulled from school.

    I’m excited about it.

  8. It falls in my 10th house, just past my Mars. I’ll be at work, trying to snag an early lunch to view a partial eclipse.

  9. This will be right on natal Venus/Uranus conjunction in 2d house. Can’t imagine what that could be but look forward to it. We will get 94% darkness so am likely to see if from backyard. Traffic around here, for folks doing day trip to totality zone, is expected to be significant.

  10. Ooh love those ideas; falls in H9 natally & this becomes H1 by profection. Hmm, would dearly love a shiny new me 0:) Already following my beliefs but still want a new me.

  11. My husband and I will head to the water as the tide recedes in mid-morning. LET GO THE DEAD AND THE DARKNESS. We have invited people to join us with their eclipse glasses and/or their flashlights. Gods willing, the wild fires will have burned through and the smoke in the NW will have moved with the rains. We have an 8th House and 12th House impact during this New Moon/Solar eclipse: shining light in dark places and helping those who may be suffering (us included, but not exclusively:)

  12. …will be in my 10th, conjunct my natal Saturn (which loosely conjuncts natal Mars, both trining my Moon). I think (I’m hoping anyway) that I will be supported.

  13. Conjoins my Mars in my 11th house. Conjoins hubby’s ascendant, which is 3 degrees from his Saturn in the 1st house.

I feel like both have been lit up already, in a positive way. In fact, I’ve been watching what’s going on nationally/politically and had forgotten until recently that the eclipse is also a personal hit.

  14. How do you figure out which of your houses it will fall? Or will it fall on ALL your houses? I’m still such a wee babe in this Astrology thing!!!! I’m looking forward to it, though, and I do feel the energies building up…but alas, I’m not in the path of totality, at most maybe 80%; which is alright, I guess, can’t travel to totality. Bought some glasses for viewing from Amazon, now I’m told they’re refunding my money because the seller did not send ISO approved glasses…bummer!!!! Have fun and Be Blessed!!!!

  15. Just starting to Buzz? I live 150 miles from totality and the buzz has been building for weeks. But I also live next to I-5, and there is hella concern for the influx of California tourists heading past on their way.

  16. I am very excited- it falls in to my 9th house, right on my natal Saturn. That day I am giving a course on nutrition for a company and it’s a big opportunity for me! I find the timing of it to be more than coincidental, and it is a good omen for what is to come.

It squares my ASC, but I take this to mean this is a turning point for how I express myself to the outside world. It will trigger change for me, and I intend to make it positive change!

  17. The Solar Eclipse is on Pluto in Leo, at 28°10′ and Regulus in Leo, at 29°14′. Both in the second house, Leo cusp! Lunar Eclipse on Chiron in Aquarius at 17°15′, 8th house, Aquarius cusp. I’ve been doing inner work since 1991, and it’s been a rough journey!

  18. Funny nobody talks about the eclipse falling on Regulus, the star of Kings(hip) and most powerful degree of Leo (fire)!

So King Sun and Queen Moon meet with a loud bang! That is the Hieros Gamos, the sexual union preprogrammed into Human DNA.

I wonder what NEW world will come out of this stellar intercourse?

My attention goes to humans’ inner reality, that’s where all the action is, not the brainwashing TV news circus people are fed.

    Any opinions, Elsa, anybody?

2 T squares and 3 Grand Trines/diamonds, this one sounds like change of structures.

PS: if you compute the Eclipse to Charlottesville where all the fighting between opposites happened *last week*, you’ll see Mars exactly opposing the Ascendant!!! So that was probably the Eclipse happening there in advance – hopefully nothing more of the kind will happen there…

  19. Nobody does a composite chart with your natal chart and the eclipse’s? Looks pretty interesting! It probably shows the imprint left on one’s DNA… mine looks quite good!
