Changing the conversation in my life…update

Unfortunately, my husband had to leave early.

Fortunately, I have a delicious book to read.

I have been studying funerals and the like (Uranus Pluto transiting Mercury) and it’s been a freakin’ rich exploration for me. It seems I only get something this tasty to think about every couple years.  So I cracked this book, feeling I could slobber and on the first page, I scored!

I scored because the author quoted another book that he said it took him 40 years to find. I was able to order the book via interlibrary so you know I’m happy as can be right now.

I thought about changing the conversation in my life, about moving into other realms. I want this so bad I can taste it.  I thought about writing this and clicked on my Astro clock. Mars was conjunct Mercury,  just ONE MINUTE apart.

I don’t want to talk about crap anymore. I want to talk about things that matter.

Life, love, death, God. Friendship and bonding and food for the soul.

What’s on your mind these days?

  1. I’ve gone the opposite direction. Home renovation and basketball. LOL I did all my heavy thinking with Pluto in Sadge and Saturn in Virgo.

I’m loving my progressed Moon in Gemini, it’s the first time in years that I’ve felt this light. I actually feel 20 years younger.

  2. Am reading a book that explores Frustration from a psychoanalytics point of view. It’s fascinating, it’s helping me root out my subconscious fear of success. There is a quote by Isaiah Berlin: ‘Knowledge liberates not by offering us more open possibilities amongst which we can make our choice, but by preserving us from the frustration of attempting the impossible.’

    Saturn return, much?

  3. I always want to talk about those things! But I also have some pretty low brow interests too. Today, for example, I just wanted to talk about the Met Gala red carpet.

Kind of tying into your funeral topic – I’m fascinated by Peter Stefan, the owner of the funeral home that has Tsarnaev’s body. The fact that he honors his commitment to the dead and takes all kinds of unpopular bodies just seems so noble and honest. What an interesting and admirable man.

  4. Duty, honor, family, grace, love, beauty…
    …and more corporeally;
–where *does* all the money go?
–and where *do* growing boys put all that food they inhale? 🙂

  5. Healing, healing, and more healing. It’s a self-centered time.

Recent bachelorette party; the bride and I have known each other for life. She’s getting a degree in counseling, as soon as I arrived we jumped into “depths” discussion. (She has a pretty heavy job involved with CPS.) The other two just went “oh god no”. I’ll never understand that. It’s all I can maintain a conversation about!!

  6. In transition, not much thinking going on. Yardening and paring down. And friends’ lifestyle changes. I find positive change rivoting.

Recent thrift store book snags are The Constellations, The Super Antioxidants, and Necessary Losses–The Loves, Illusions, Dependencies and Impossible Expectations That All of Us Have To Give Up in Order to Grow (kind of like the crap).

  7. @Stinger Moon—THIS. What I’ve been going through for the past 2 years, but probably much, much longer, now that I think about it. Sag moon in 12th house natally, as well as Pluto in the 9th house. Discovering the purpose of life is what it’s about for me.

Really painful but there is no other place I would rather be soul-wise. This is the work we need to do. On the earth plane it blows big time, I have to admit.

    Much love!

  8. Antici……

    ….pation, mostly.

Also having to remind myself over and over again that I can’t get my hopes up too high and odds are what I am hoping will happen won’t, so I need to deal with that. I need to keep myself earthbound and as expectation-free as I can manage so as to remain open to the experience.
