Some of those problems include tight orbs (probably most importantly), a high preponderance of water signs and an afflicted Mars.

Your father’s Mars is actually OK from my reading but the other signs make sense.

I notice he has a lightly aspected Sun. This can make a person either A) In the good sense either religious or wise or B) in the bad sense a bit of a vampire. The energy has to come from somewhere.

Your father has Mars oppose Saturn exact. That’s sometimes indicative of extreme cruelty, even physical.

Your mother, on the other hand, has Saturn in Aries. Usually with Saturn, you struggle with the theme that the sign, house, and aspects, to Saturn, is in your chart. Your mother struggled with themes of aggression, anger, physical violence (which can be a negative manifestation of Aries’ anger. Add to that, Aries’ dark side is impulse, control through force, and pushiness.

A pushy and forceful Aries is either immature, insecure, a narcissist, or mentally ill.

Add to that, Saturn is in a fall in Aries, making it a hard placement for your mother.

The other thread they were talking about fourth and tenth house for mother and father.

So is Pluto retrograde here the mother of the father?

It should be obvious.

Hi M300, sorry to hear about how much you’ve gone through. I felt sad reading this..

Here’s my take.

Both your parents have a Saturn opp Mars signature. Your mom’s got it loosely, but it’s still active. I’ve usually seen couples like this pair up with some serious karma to clear off. Your dad’s got an exact opposition, which is pretty harsh.

For a second, lets just look at his chart. That Saturn in the 4th doing an exact opp to Mars in the 10th is quite painful. I’m sure his father was the primary caregiver for him who was probably harsh and strict as ever. His dad probably thrashed him with a belt too – I’ve often seen a sadistic streak in such natives, which was often displayed in their parents. It’s not easy that opposition. With Mars in the 10th (in Cancer it’s weak), he must have been ‘publicly’ bullied and humiliated too. His childhood could have been quite dark. Also, his mum could have had some psychological issues ranging from delirium to bipolar. Perhaps she was an alcoholic or druggie. That Saturn square Moon denies him of that foundational mommy love too. Most who are unaware of how their childhood impacts them project or take out their anger subconsciously on others, esp their family members and children. Also, an important point to note that he’s got a waning moon – so his Moon’s closing in on his Sun. This is a tell right there, he’s not the happiest person, and he often feels sad and depressed, and helpless. With Mars on the top of his chart, he shows otherwise.

Look, it’s not like you’re staying together anymore. But hey, there’s always place for some compassion right? Start with feeling a bit of that, and make peace with this whole thing knowing that he’s coming from a place of pain. It takes courage to accept such things. I know it’s none of my business, but putting up posts on social media about parents is like putting a piece of your self out there for all to see. (See how his Mars in the 10th works). Forgive the guy from a distance, and you’ll see how your inner anger starts melting away. It’s a process.

Your mums got some debilitated planets as well. Her Mars in Libra is still a bit weak, especially with being decisive. Saturn in the 7th in Aries, clearly some heavy partnership karma. But look, that’s Saturn, she still stayed with him. How basic and down to the bare bone is that. She’s meek, and that’s her karma. She need(s)ed to toughen up and have a spine. The universe knows what lesson we are to learn in this life.

Now, you. You’ve got quite the magnificent chart. From a quick look, you’ll be climbing the military ladder quite well. You’ve got Jups, Sun and Merc decently placed. Although the planets are combust and in the 12thish and 1st, I don’t deny that you’ll be quite military leader when your time comes. The reason it’s in the 12th and combust is cos you’ve prolly overdone these traits in your past lifetimes. You’ve been the sharp solider who knows when to strike, and you’ve also been the ruthless major whose possibly inflicted quite a bit of wounding to people around you. Now to your relationship with your father – do you see that Saturn rx in your 6th? Yep. You’ve possibly misused your Saturnian energies in the past lifetime(s) with your own family and now its Rx and in the 6th which is the house of karma we will be dealing with in this life time. You were probably his father in a previous one, and a harsh one. Our soul stores memories you know, why do you think we unconsciously fall into behavioral patterns with people we have karma with. Who knows – but it’s right there in your 6th. 6th house is known for being the house of work and servitude, etc etc, and even enemies, but enemies simply mean dealing with irritants in the form of a friend, relative, family member, illness etc. Again, this basically means, dealing with karma that you have accumulated and cannot run from. Now, since it’s Saturn, well, it’s gonna be long-standing and Saturn like. But here’s a tip. Wherever Saturn is placed in our chart, is where we cannot (and should not) show ego. Trust me. Maintain a mindset of forgiveness, compassion and service. Yes, service. If your dad complains, grumbles, and insults you – hear it, and say okay, if you say so. (Of course I’m not saying accept physical infliction). If he says you’re a horrible son, say you’re really sorry and that if you want him to ever do something for him, to let you know (such as buying groceries for him or taking him to the docs, or paying for some bills). Saturn matures after 35 – and then it’ll give you the benefits of your patience.

Your Mars and moon are exceptionally strong – in Taurus. And in the 10th. Honestly, it’s a gorgeous placement. Don’t let your feelings towards your family come in the way of your professional progress. Because I’ll repeat it again, you do have a beautiful chart. Don’t waste it.

There’s a saying (can’t remember the actual words). Be grateful with how much you’ve endured. That’s how karmically lighter you are.

Your father has a pretty nasty tsqure involving Moon, Mars and Saturn. Like others mentioned, Mars/Saturn in hard aspect has a reputation for cruelty, harshness and abuse, not everyone will express the most negative side of this aspect like this, but it IS a potential with the hard aspect. The person has can take in a lot and then have bouts of explosive anger. Your father also has Moon aspecting this configuration and that’s where it gets worst. Moon/Mars in hard aspect is already a very difficult placement, shows a bad temper, temperament which is agressive and choleric, easily angered… add it with the Mars/Saturn well, you’ve kind of got a recipe for a very ill tempered person, who can take out his rage on women (Moon). Mars in Cancer can be a great protector of women, or an abuser of women, unfortunately it can show domestic violence… especially when it’s square the Moon like that. I’ve known two other people with this position who had problems with domestic violence. The problem with Mars Saturn is that it doesn’t forget either, so he can hold to anger for years and years. His Venus and chart ruler is in Scorpio, so already not in the best position for Venus. Mars is co-dispositor of that Venus again showing that his Mars issues affect women and his relationships. His Venus squares Uranus, this is a placement that tends to blow hot and cold with people, not the most reliable, and there aren’t many other supportive aspects to it. Both Scorpio and Cancer can be a little vindictive and hold on to grudges. With his chart, he’s someone who may never forget a slight and can hash things up from decades ago and fume over it. It’s likely your father also had a harsh parent who treated him cruelly and the cycle continues.

Your mother’s chart triggers your father’s t-square. She triggers him and his temper, unfortunately, even though she may not intend to. Her Sun falls right across his t-square of Mars square Moon square Saturn. We often attract people who activate our difficult aspects because that’s how we work out our ”issues”. He takes his anger out on her. He is harsh and controlling over her. Your mother has Sun square Saturn, which tends to have difficult time with authority figures, can show a harsh controlling father and/or spouse, shows harsh male figure in her life who can undermine her confidence.

Your Moon is also wounded, unsurprisingly growing up in that atmosphere. Moon/Mars is a very difficult position, it shows Moon (inner child) is hurt, easily triggered, quick to react, lots of anger, agressive energy in the home.

I’m sorry it’s been so difficult. I have a wide square of Moon and Mars, I know it’s not easy but controlling your temper is necessary if you want to have lasting healthy relationships. Also it depletes a lot of energy, wastes it, and can bring on illness. Anger is very harsh for the body, it’s really self-destructive, ultimately.

You know. You are right.

My father’s mother Died of cancer when i was small. I never knew her.

My dad’s father was very strict but i barely saw him either.

It’s difficult but i will do my best to rid of my anger problems. The Military is over for me though there is no stopping me returning, that career is in the past for me, my mind moved on.

Perhaps i am too focused on me and my actions, becoming cynical and critical.

Like i bought stuff for my father only to take it away when he mistreated my mum. What is fair?

Not blaming anyone now but myself but that maybe my naive impulsivness with heart & money at that time. Perhaps buying stuff or physical motivation is not what he needed.

I do love my parents deep down i just cannot forgive them for how they treated me and my siblings… Yet.

Makes me really sad thinking he was put through hell and even worse i dealt some nasty hands in past lives.

Tears. Not anger i do feel compassion.

Yes this makes sense. I have lost a certain spark. I have noticed myself. My stubbornness is not helping.

The natal planets in the houses do not represent what the houses mean. Planets are placed/posited in specific environments/life areas/houses where they operate according to their planetary nature in sign. Pluto in the 4h can represent violent turmoil or manipulation, control or destruction in or of the home environment, trauma from early childhood, and the Plutonian strength to overcome. The Venus ruled sign Libra on the cusp of the 4h would indicate want for a harmonic peaceful family and home environment which could be a catalyst in creating that very thing for ones own home, according to the natal Venus.

As a note, i can read my dads deepest feelings by what music he listened to, like me he loves music.

This was a popular one..

Another one.

He also never spoke bad of his family ever, in fact he would use it in arguments in anger at my mum bringing her down saying look where you come from…

My grand dad is a WWII vet.
