Thanks for putting the chart in the comments!

My biggest question, I guess is the theme of the chart. How do I determine this? And the interpretation of this chart. I've looked up the aspects (over and over again) and maybe that's where I get lost because I look up all of them.

I'm on the inside, if what I gathered is true, why am I so shy and not outgoing? What's holding me back?

Hi Ninny8487. smile

Glad you asked the second question, because in anything about relationship, "who" is the starting point.

You have mars (how we bravely conquer dragons, and/or pursue our aims) at the top of your chart. Your mars is in gemini, so you use your wits, and your knowledge. Words, ideas - you know how to improvise. It's in your 9th house, giving it scope. Breadth, and wanting to understand more than simply know. Across your chart, you have saturn in 3rd (mercury-themed) in sag. On the one hand (because, libra AC colors how we see the world - yours sees the two sides, and your mars tends to use both hands easily, in doing things) these two support each other.saturnstrengthens your drive to develop your mind, and your knowledge. Long term, it gives you an extra gear, to get over obstacles (mind-as-a-motor metaphor, getting you where you want to go) and staying power. On the other side, it can cause you to doubt yourself *to a ridiculous degree*. Which is normal - everyone gets hit with excessive doubt at times, wherever saturnfalls in our charts. You can do a reality check - if you were driving, along with verifying the rearview mirrors, etc. you'd make sure the hand brake was disengaged, before pushing the gas pedal. Because one of the useful functions of your Saturn placement is like that good habit of using the hand brake, when parked. Another one is, you'll have an easier time than many, having a thorough pre-drive checklist. In real terms, it takes us just about 30 years to learn all the nifty advantages of our own personal saturn function. Shyness is a kind of fear, and the key is to discern which parts are sensible, and keep them in the back of your mind, while you put your plans into action.

Just quickly, to touch on your synastry question, a question for you. Any chance the other person in that chart is behaving to you with "joking" insults - undermining your confidence in your ability to achieve?

Wow! Yeah, the doubt, the drive, reality checks- very familiar.

To answer your question, yes the other person does do that. I never know if it's serious or joking. 🤔 Not even sure how to respond afterwards. The insults aren't about my ability to succeed, I'm supported/ encouraged by the other person in my drive for success.

Can you or anyone tell me about the person on the outside? Like, how he sees/feels about me, if he's using me (bad intentions) etc?

I feel so confused about him. He's so wishy washy and I don't know really where I stand with him. Because one moment we will be in between the sheets and the next he's drooling over a girl. Thanks!

Ninny8487, some more perspective on your chart.

You have venus (ruler of your AC and your sun) conjuct your DC (cusp of venus-ian 7th house of one-to-one relationships). Venus represents what pleases us, what we want in our relationships. Your venus is in aries (strong in your femininity).

But wait, there's more! Also conjuncting your DC, in your 7th house, is jupiter, planet that increases, amplifies - "smiles on," too - whatever it aspects. For you, how you relate to others (DC & venus). This grouping kinda echoes your mars(because aries) in gemini (because double) in jupiter-ian 9th house. So, while venus & mars in your chart seem to not aspect one another, there is a kind of unusual harmony between them. All together, indicating that you have charm and appeal galore.

Added to all the above, you have Nort Node (purpose, and learning) in the bunch. Also in aries. The sign of taking action when it's called for, in a decisive, unmistakable way.

Our charts show our nature, our potentials. What, exactly we do with that is up to each of us.

*My guess, and it's only a guess, is that this guy is drooling over other women in front of you because it's his nature to do that. Whyever he did it, he was showing you, loud and clear that this is who he is. That he thinks it's normal, for him.*

I suggest that a better avenue for researching would be "Saturn return". Reading about this threshold transition, keep in mind that whatever start-stop dates for it are different for each person. It's a process, and part of an ongoing process that we do life-long. (Guessing again, I suspect you took up with this guy for the exercise... since he's someone who couldn't keep up with you, long term. Maybe, eh?) smile

PS Doing things "for the exercise" is something people sometimes do, under a Saturn influence. Every experience is exercise, actually. And many times we only truly understand what we embarked on, and why, after we engage in whatever-it-is.

By the way, experience does make important decisions a little easier, but, they are never actually easy. When we feel strongly attracted, our brains turn silly - at every age. ::being older is wonderful, and as an elder, is how I know that what matters most is always a challenge::

Hope you decide to keep participating here, Ninny8487. I have a strong clue your contributions to discussions are going to be insightful. I think so, because your chart *and* what you've written here, in your first topic. smile

Ya know, now that I had the time to think about my Saturn return, I actually met this guy during it. Long story short, a psychic told me I was going to meet someone from a karmic union, or past life. While, the things I have experienced with him are things I've never experienced before and feel quite unworldly. I still wasnt sure do I looked into the charts.

I do plan on sticking around, I'm sure I'll have lots more questions and I'll do my best to answer some.

I've read mixed reviews on meeting someone during your Saturn return. 4 months prior to a Saturn return, does that count? What are your thoughts?

Okay, no one else has replied, so here goes.

saturn - in the natal chart, and in the other ways it's in a chart (transits, synastry, etc.) - is about the structure we establish in our life. How we manage the business of life - where we put our boundaries, where we draw lines around what is acceptable to us, excluding what is not, e.g. This involves decisions, and committing to what we decide *and* as a good manager must, recognizing when it's time to adopt a different project, or to adopt a different path in pursuit of a goal, and changing to suit.

Ninny8487, orbs of influence (timing) differ from one person to another.. Also, astrology doesn't compel us to do anything - it gives clues. About transits, we choose from among the opportunities available, aaall the time, usually with some degree of subconscious input along, ideally choosing in accordance with our chosen purposes - enough so that we keep moving forward in those fields.

However, because we have free will, we can, if we choose, ignore that basic call (saturn) to become a responsible adult, who is engaged in accomplishing goals that use one's own talents. (Working in a team with others requires knowing, foremost, what we bring to the table, and what matters to us, what we consider worthwhile.) saturn-type efforts are easier to do, during saturn transits, and transits to saturn. saturn return is both at once.

Inevitably, during saturn times we verify (don an auditor's visor) the pertinence of our activities in the light of the shape we want for our lives. Your saturn opposes your mars, both in signs and houses about learning, speaking truth (what is verifiably real - saturn) and to understand what you learn, and put it to work in real life.

Your saturn also opposes your Chiron (tender sore spots, among other things). This opposition in your natal chart gives you a choice: do you work toward being helpless in the face of your hurts, *or* do you commit to striving to learn skills, understanding and compassion?

*If that's too generalized, someone may help you understand, but for Pete's sake, please try to read about *your*saturn, in *your* life?!? Your chart does not indicate that partnership is the field for doing this work. It shows that you like being partnered, that you know how to please and be pleased. It suggests that the goals and pursuits that will result in judging yourself as an effective person, will be in a different sphere. Romance is probably not where that work is called for (which is why I guessed that drooler is exercise, for you - not knocking exercise) Even Though you have plenty of energy to spend there.*

PS I should maybe edit, but I'm out of time. Best wishes.

Thanks Poppy.

I was looking just at my natal chart for the Saturn return, when that question popped up and I tried to google it. I got mixed reviews and figured I would ask about the significance of meeting someone during (or before) a Saturn return. Do these people come in to ensure you're learning what Saturn is bringing to the table (so to speak) or is it irrelevant? While I may hope to have a relationship, I know it won't be with the person included in my chart above. However, we are very close and very good friends I was just looking into our chart.

I'm just trying to learn more about myself. Thank you for your input.
