How to break up with your "best friend"?
I can't stand her anymore but she's still enthusiastic about our friendship. Don't know how to handle the situation.

macateta, you’re doing the right thing. See, she and her mother will press and press for answers, reasons, begging you….You were honest with her. On their part, there will be no “closure” (that seems to be what they are seeking). There is no closure on their side because they don’t understand. And that’s where it can end. You don’t have to do anymore. It’s not your job anymore. Sounds like the mother wants you to parent. And imo, that’s just crappy. You can and do that with your own children someday.

You’re a-ok! 😃

H et, macateta, I have Libra Ascendant.  It tears me, to have people displeased with me. But, I have learned to tolerate that disharmony inside of me, when a greater principle is in play.

You have the innate right to become the best you can be.  Of course, as all of us, you have put confidence in people not worthy of that trust.  Live and learn, the saying goes.  No one, no human, is perfect.  smile

Imagine that you are her. How would you like a person who no longer wanted your company to inform you? It’s going to hurt but not any more than if you knew someone dreaded your company but kept hanging with you.
