So, in transits all the Aries in the 6th house (health) opposing my natal Libra stellium has shown up as shingles. I looked up my progressed chart and just laughed: it’s ridiculous. There’s a grand fire trine with the moon, neptune and mars. And that moon is being opposed by the sun, saturn, pluto, and jupiter. It’s a beautiful looking chart geometrically! But it screams “emotional stress.” The fire trine is lovely! But no wonder I feel like jumping out of my skin.
I have school stress, a family event to attend, and I’m dealing with my parents dogs for my mom. My mom has a noisy pack of them. All of them came to her and she took them in, like the kind Pisces moon person she is. I’m not so saintly because I don’t really know how to handle a bunch of happy, loud, aggressive pit bulls. They knocked me down! My mom loves them, she’s an Aries. I’m…not such a good person. I don’t hate dogs, but I find myself resenting them and wondering how I’ll take care of them when she’s not able.
I know my chart’s about serving or suffering so I just need to suck it up and stop feeling resentment. But I’m on edge and things are not helping.
TLDR; (THE POINT OF THIS) Is there any way to self soothe or at least take advantage of the fire trine? I don’t want to crumble or break down.. Also I’m worried that if someone says the wrong thing at the family event, I’ll snap or have a bad reaction.

This is what I use to soothe myself, it’s a form of the loving-kindness meditation.
May I be happy, may I be well, may I be comfortable and at peace.
You can move it up another level by adding someone’s name that you love, then everyone you love, then someone you don’t like.

Oh, Shingles are awful! A lot of stressful aspects can be worked out with physical exercise. That’s what I do. It doesn’t have to be lifting weights or that kind of thing. I pick a project, like cleaning out the closets or even painting a room. All that energy is used up by it.

Keep a diary. Don’t be afraid to write cuss words, violent words, and extremely intense energy and words, in the diary. Make sure to get a lock, or if you feel unsafe with a diary, write your angry thoughts down. Then burn it, or shred it in a shredder.

Helps me to remember that I’m not in a fixed position. I’m in a time continuum that is always moving forward. AKA it’s not always going to be like this.
That’s not an excuse not to act or plan – just a way to think that that helps me.
I don’t know what to say about the dogs. I had to interact with a big dog that messed up my arm/shoulder all the time & I’m paying the price now. Can you start working with them now (training)?
The dog that messed me up, ended up aging out of that behavior, so time might take care of that problem.

I like to meditate and visualize. If i feel anxious ill rub my hands together, and place one over my heart chakra and one over my solar plexus or third eye, depending on if the stress is visceral/emotional/third chakra or psychological/perception/6th chakra. I imagine a light green energy in my heart center and expand it with every inhale until it covers my whole body, then my home, then the earth, then the universe. (Kind of the same principle of Tams technique).
I also find that altars are a really powerful tool. Put anything on it that reminds you of harmony and peace.
Another thing i used recently that worked was to pray for the universe to transform fear into Love. Because thats really the only two energies that are present here. (Well actually theres only Love, but fear seems real enough that it has to be dealt with).

What great suggestions! I think it’s so good that you are actively seeking a way to manage yourself and emotions during this.
I love guided meditations. And if you can do a little each day, you can learn to do them on your own, on the fly, as needed.
As Jilly said, it’s not always going to be this way. And soon it’s in the rear view mirror like so many other things.
I love the self talk by Tam, too. It can help center yourself. And the journaling.
Writing this post is also reminding me too do all this, too 😃
Good luck and swift healing!
