Piya, I would have thought 8th house composite Sun would already have that innate deep bond…but I’m sure a lot of this is my unrealistic expectation of relationships in general. I think every relationship needs maintenance, no matter what.
It’s probably very reckless of me to assume that 8th House composite Suns have the intimacy down to a science already, right?
Ah! But if you look at this post, Elsa says that the composite sun shows the “purpose” of the relationship. If the purpose is to merge, then you must have started somewhere separately, right?
Add that to the fact that some people just don’t want to merge. Some people are perfectly okay without the sort of heart-stopping intimacy that I want (and that I think he wants too). You see, some people just don’t want to feel that close, to anybody. But he and I both have watery moons with chewy centers and, well, I don’t think living solely by your wits is in the cards for us, not with all those feeeeelings.
Just because someone has a composite 8th house with you does not mean they are prepared for it, or that they want that sort of thing. But I do. I want something deep like that, and I want to be married, eventually, and I’m just not capable of skimming along the surface for too long, with anybody.
You have a very good point…about the purpose of it. And I keep forgetting, dummy that I am, that not everyone wants to be committed…not everyone wants to be deeply connected with another, that there are those out there who want surface relationships, they can’t handle the depth.
Ugh…I am an 8th House Sun, I truly long for that deep cutting tattoo of intimacy with my soul mate, my astral twin. So, all that detachment and freedom is foreign to me.

our composite Sun is Cancer 9th house
l don’t know what to make of it really…but l do know what we like doing together
Building things, building houses.. that is one thing! we also love traveling (but don’t really have time)
we like encouraging people to do their thing, to live their lives, to go for what they believe in and we organizing dinners at our place for friends, family that kind of thing…
l wonder if it fits l did read that composite Sun 9th house will become just friends in the long run…hmmm l do feel we are way too much of friends then anything else lately.
My current heartthrob/heartache and I have composite Sun conjunct comp. Saturn within 70 minutes of our comp. ASC. All of this is 12-13 degrees CAP, both planets first house. Comp. Venus is 26CAP, and Eros is at midpoint 21CAP. When we met our Second Progressed Mars’ became conjunct at 13CAP, and they are still within 20 min’s at 15CAP trining my natal (VIIth house) Taurus Moon (in her natal 2nd). My Eros is at 13CAP, my Saturn is at 25CAP, and her Eros is at 29CAP.
We are both natal Saturn in CAP and Mars in SAG. Her Pluto conjuncts my sultry Skorpion Neptune-ASC-Venus-Mercury mess right between my ASC and Venus: all 11-15 deg’s SCO. Her PIS ASC trines my SCO ASC with only 30 min’s difference. We have a synastric double Yod key: my (VIR)Pluto*Neptune, etc, and her Venus*Mercury. Our Mercury-Mercury (SCO-AQU) of that configuration forms a tight T-square to with my TAU Moon. That T-Square is now transited (Aug-Sept 2015) in a Grand Cross by Venus and Mars (al-right-to-night) in LEO, and was also recently transited by Jupiter.
We’ve had some separations and differences, but I feel that a lot of people WANT us together, and circumstances will conspire and transpire to make it so. And a few well-timed voodoo-LUV spells from me };)

This is a bit off topic but the last two men I’ve been with are water signs. Cancer and Scorpio. I have a young moon…Virgo in the first…yet since I was a child I’ve felt this keen, weird desire to merge with a man. I was romantic and sexual before I knew the mechanics. I like these water men more than any others I have ever known. I was crazy in love with the Capricorn but I didn’t always like him. Never thought I would fall for a Cancer with a Scorpio moon. I’m still trying to figure it out. I don’t know his birth time but I’m guessing he has a Capricorn ascendant. He doesn’t smile much. He’s very cardinal. Alpha male. Lots of Saturn between us. His Saturn in Pisces is in my seventh, conjunct my Mercury wide, sextiling my Mars tight, opposing ascendant and moon tight, quincunx Pluto in Libra. He’s yum.

I had a 1st house Sun-Mars conjunction in Gemini with the Aries…trine Jupiter in the 5th! We had such a blast together. Our “arguments” were really more playful and teasing in nature. We were able to address a lot of stuff with each other, truthfully and fairly. It was nice.
My best friend and I have a composite 7th house Sun in Libra. (Our Rising is very late Pisces.) We don’t tend to argue, either, but sometimes I find it’s difficult for us to address any problems that may exist. I think that’s the double-dose of Libra/7th house energy.
I wish I knew the birth time of a guy I was crazy about when I was younger. He was my first boyfriend. I would love to know the house of our composite Sun. We were Leo to the max, though!

@abc333 the composite with your boyfriend sounds a lot like the composite i have with my best friend/object of affection person… we also have an 8th house gemini sun, conjunct mercury, moon on the descendant and mars near the midheaven. venus in the 8th. we both have discussed upon and agreed that if each of us had to name meeting one person as a defining and transformative moment, we’d name the other because it’s been very, very intense. venus rules our ascendant and 8th house, and also falls there. i feel very grateful that we have those two signs in our 8th, practical and strong communication. also, we are both girls but i am kinda masculine in presentation and she teases me a lot about my fashion sense and amount of hair/beauty products being so much greater than hers.
