Watching this from the 80's:

It holds up.

Jeremy Irons at his finest! I remember watching this with a friend eons ago. I was fascinated and repulsed, my friend was only repulsed.

@turtle He/they are repulsive, just creepy, non-bloody but the set design wows me. The apartment with it's steel does not look dated, even today.

The team is wearing red during surgery - with a red sheet, like a ritual.

I like that the movie begins, instantly. 60 seconds in and it's going... without any gore by the way.

I've only seen it once. Enjoying as much this time. It's on HBO max by the way. They have a black Friday sale (still) I think, if anyone is interested.

I've spent a total of eight hours cleaning my apartment. I've got the hallway and bathroom done, part of the kitchen cleaned, and started on the living room. I'm not even done. I need to do the dishes, scrub the stove, and finish off the kitchen counter and sink. And then I need to finish cleaning the living room and vaccuum the floor. That grossed me out. I live with two other people and they are the reason I don't hang out in the living area because of how much trash they just throw onto the ground. To be fair, I'm pretty disorganized myself when it comes to my bedroom but I try to keep trash in a trash bag and not scattered everywhere.

I'm just feeling frazzled from having to deep clean the bathroom and kitchen and cleaning up their mess in the living room.

The kicker is that I'm only doing this because they're in Florida until Wednesday because they attended a wedding on Friday. How nice of them to have a mini-vacation while I'm home doing major housework and finishing up with my classes this term.

Wow!  I hope when they return they're amazed and show their appreciation by rewarding you with dinner out or something else you enjoy.

@purplestargirl This feels like a good use of the current energy. When I am active, doing tasks, I feel better, if I stop, I really start to drift...I don't seem to be able to find a comfortable balance. My sense of time is also challenged. I feel Neptune is really strong atm before the station.

@sophiab I have no clue what you are talking about and I honestly don't feel it's related to my post. This is about my apartment being gross and just needing to be cleaned and my roommates, while they are dear friends and I care about them a great deal, aren't the greatest at keeping things clean. That's all.

@purplestargirl I think she’s just trying to tie it into the current planetary energy now, and maybe it made her think about how it feels. It’s not that big a deal.

@allie120 Yes, it made me think about Mars rx square a stationing Neptune. I was impressed by @purplestargirl's willpower compared to my own struggle to get tasks done currently. Its probably expressing more as communication confusion!

@sophiab @allie120 My apologies if I misunderstood what Sophia was expressing. My sleep schedule has been up and down, like usual thanks to my stupid natal Aquarius Moon, and I've got a lot on my mind. I am so ready for winter break already. Are we sure it's Mars retrograde in square to Neptune and not Mercury Rx? whacky

Edit: Apparently Mercury is also square Neptune. Communication breakdown anyone??

@purplestargirl It’s all good. 🤗 Neptune is goofy lol And Mercury square Neptune? Oh boy!

It sounds like you’re working hard! I hope that your roommates acknowledge what you’ve done to clean up but even if they don’t, YOU know you did the right thing. Sending you good vibes to help you sleep and chip away at everything that need to get done.

@purplestargirl no need to apologise, I was rambling in a Neptune haze myself! Interesting what you said about your moon. I was reading one of Liz Greene's books on Uranus recently (it's in the 'internet archive' website, btw) and she was talking about the nervous system being a key area for Aquarians and that it effects sleep patterns, quality, etc.

I’m Aquarius sun and I’m so out of touch with the whole Aqua scene sometimes. But what you say about Aqua moon and sleep…my granddaughter has an Aquarius moon. Sleep…what’s that 😅. She’s also a Gemini.

I like how these conversations make up think of other things…bounce bounce bounce!

@allie120 I also have a packed 3rd house (six planets) so there is a Gemini flavor to my chart. Sleep? She's a flake. Heh.

I've also had trouble with sleep since I was little, according to my mother (Gemini Sun/Cancer Moon/Cancer ASC). My dad had a Gemini Moon. I get that energy myself having parents with it.

@allie120 I have a friend who's also an Aquarius Moon and he has issues with sleep. He's a light sleeper and sleeps four hours on average and some days he just crashes and sleeps for hours on end. Apparently he's been like that his whole life.

I forgot to mention I sometimes crash like that and will sleep 10 to 11 hours. But my schedule is sleeping at night sometimes and waking up early in the morning, other times it's from really late at night to early afternoon, sometimes it's daylight to early evening. Sometimes I have split sleep schedule. It's erratic and varies.

@purplestargirl Definitely my granddaughter…when I would sit for her, babies need naps. The kids wanted me to walk her to sleep. I knew she was ready to drop off when she would start babbling babbling babbling, zoning out, then bloop! She’d be asleep. 🤭

She’s better but it was a struggle. I know my mind goes galloping in the middle of the night if I let it.

TimCast IRL is gonna be 🔥🔥🔥 tonight. Wouldn’t be surprised if there were some “technical difficulties” from YouTube. Thank goodness for Rumble. I’ll listen tomorrow during my workout.

I think I've got some kind of virus, I'm getting waves of nausea and dizziness on and off now for over a week. Although these symptoms did start a few days after a steroid shot, I don't think it has these kinds of side effects?

Anyhow, I'm drinking lots of herbal tea and eating veggies regularly to keep my blood-sugars up. I hope everyone else is keeping well!

@plutolover

That sounds scary!  Have you had the steroid shot before with no I'll effects?  Have you called the doctor who gave it to you?  An inner ear issue could cause those symptoms.  Also flu, but no fever?

May you be blessed with a fast recovery

@warped It was my first shot and hasn't worked for the pain, my doctor assured me it didn't really have side effects like this. I'm tending more towards a viral thing - it's that time of year!

Thank you for the well wishes!
