Thanks! I've got my other half to look at it, he's generally pretty good at identifying things by their individual components, but he's clueless! I keep looking at the 2 u-shaped bits and thinking if it was flipped upside-down, they could be 'rests' for something you wanted to adjust the height on, if that makes sense.
