What change have you made that improved your life so much you wish you'd done it ages ago??
For five years of my life I didn’t talk to my older sister for something she and her husband had done over an inheritance. My dad would get angry if I spoke with her so I gave in to him and didn’t communicate with her. I lost some years with her which is one of my only regrets in life
Great question! I'm trying to be less people pleaser, especially to their mood swings, bad temper, and trying not to upset them, just to keep the peace in the house. If I get the silent treatment, so be it, I don't care anymore.
Getting a cat. Wish I had done it YEARS prior. Actually, wish I had been raised with pets of any kind.
I finally got a cat when I was in my mid-fifties. He saved my life. We had six good but too short years together. The 2nd anniversary of his passing will be this coming Friday.
He brought me so much and left a big void.
I cannot afford to get another cat (vet bills and such), but am trying to arrange my life so that I can at least foster rescue cats. Getting closer to that goal.
P.S. All my life, I had a serious cat phobia which I worked hard to reduce and finally overcome. Now, life without a cat is... definitely missing a crucial component.
Putting 2 containers of crayons on each table. No more fights about keeping the crayons in the middle or where the "middle" actually is on the table. It seems trivial but it was a daily thing with almost every class.
