@okscorpiogal Thank you Scorpio sister! I have been googling since you posted this. Also, found some really interesting things on youtube.

Alan Oken...wow! Very interesting. This should keep me entertained for hours on end! Thank you so much.

This has turned into a cooking/consulting day.

One, then the other and then the other and then the other.

Tomorrow's enchiladas filling is done. Cornbread is next. It will  go with firecracker sausage and peppers we're having for dinner, or maybe sausage and beans (and peppers)??

Libra can't decide, yet!

@soup I'm sorry I wasn't clear. That's what was reported on the news. That was their emphasis. How stupid, and then I repeated it. Sorry!

My housemate was in one of her squirrelly moods yesterday. (She has moderate dementia and it’s getting worse.) She went into her shed and poked around while I was at work for a few hours. I came home, TV remote was gone. One of her daughters came to visit and we searched the house for it. Couldn’t find it. Daughter left, housemate sat at her coffee table and pulled out a bunch of stuff, put it all over her couch.

After she went to bed, I cleaned up the mess and then went to check the shed (I had a hunch it was there. Sure enough, it was sitting in there next to one of her old cell phones. (She starts inspecting the contents of the shed when she gets bored. Should have known.)

Today—I opened her pantry and saw a bag of my homemade chili in there. 😩I had made a big batch of chili the other day, froze it, vacuum-sealed it. Well, that bag had to go in the trash. Sometimes she stores hot or cold food in her pantry because she doesn’t realize what she’s doing.

Guess I’ll continue to get commercially canned/processed food and hide it away from her so she doesn’t mess with it. 🤪

@notmycircus, you have a lot of patience and kindness to deal with that everyday.  Not everyone has that gift.  Thank God for people like you, otherwise your housemate would be in a nursing home where who knows what happens.

My husband's family took my mother-in-law out of a rehab facility because they weren't taking care of her.  They got away with such awful care and really neglect when the facility stopped allowing family access because of the virus.  Now, they have someone like you come to her home during the day and they take over at night.

My mother-in-law is 90 and fading.  She doesn't have dementia but she can't walk anymore and as much as she wants to do things, she really can't.

So many things are great about getting older but this isn't one of them.

My husband started designing t-shirts.  He presents himself as a time traveling soldier from the 1700's who fell through some kind of wormhole. Now he is selling t-shirts from his day.   cheeky

On another note, I deleted the posts about things that people don't like to read about. I am committed to not posting about this stuff again.

It's a Mercury square Pluto deal, I guess.
