Watching the world. So strange. Getting things in the future is going to be interesting. Empty shelves. Ordering things that take a month to arrive. Ships just floating around in the Pacific ocean.

I hope people still know how to repair things, sew things, grow things. Are these skills lost to most now?

New vehicle had to go into the shop. Just a hose. Took two weeks. They have no new vehicles to sell. And, parts take forever ... staff shortage. No one to work these businesses you want to do business with. Shorter hours at most restaurants.

It seems its about to get real.

@soup 65 cargo ships off the coast of California right now! Unreal. 🤯

Last year during the stay-at-home orders, I realized that I don’t know how to grow food, can, or sew. It was a scary thought. Since then I’ve learned a few things, but still have a long way to go. The people who know these skills are dying off, and younger people often have no interest in learning to do these things (when you’ve never seen empty shelves or sky-high prices before, you get spoiled. By the time I went to high school, home ec was an elective class).

One of my clients knows someone (can’t remember if friend or family member) who bought a new car not too long ago. Now it needs a part that won’t be in until JANUARY. I’d believe it. Last year I had body work done on my car. Took them 3 weeks to get all the parts in, for a job that should have been done in 3 DAYS. I had to rent a vehicle for work. Big mistake—I LOST money driving from house to house. Now I’m scared to get my failing catalytic converter replaced! 🤔😫

My parents are leaning toward giving everyone money for Christmas this year because we don’t know what the store shelves will look like by the holidays.

I think now I understand why homesteaders and preppers are getting their homes in order like their pants are on fire!! 🔥 🔥 🔥 Wood stoves, freeze dryers, canning, dehydrating, etc. They’re preparing for the power grid to go down, the economy, access to healthcare to disappear—basically we’re about to go back in time 150 years, y’all! I wonder how many of us would survive without electricity or other modern things.

@notmycircus Having a ton of firewood delivered. Stocked my supply shelves - soaps, toothpastes all the selfcare items early summer as I watch this all unfold. Going in for the food now... have a good pantry but I would like it to look better. Learning to bake bread now. Things like water collection (rain water) cos God knows we get enough of that in the south! I have been working on all of it although not sure husband agrees this will be an issue but he sure was glad I was 2 months ahead of the CV when people were beating the crap out of each other for TP! (thank you Astrology site!!!!)

He just said... umm maybe you people are on to something HA I laughed and said... and here you thought I was getting ready to cast spells and wear a black pointy hat! LOL he is completely starting to understand ENERGY... and why I try to navigate it.

I was driving thru Nashville (ugh) on 24 to go back home over the summer and some idiot rear ended me (in my new suv) and drove away (on his temp plates!!) I was taking pictures and following him...I was so pissed. Then I thought...people that hit and run usually are lacking these things- common sense, a drivers license. insurance- may have several warrants out for their arrest and may have a gun 🙄 so may not be a good idea to go Scorp Stellium on this nut. So, I pulled back. Took forever for them to get the parts to repair the thing. They did it WRONG the first time and I will be damned if it didn't have to go back in for another fix. I have rental car insurance but ... where am I going?? Next trip back to the midwest it was so damn hot (110 heat index!) hotter than down here... an air conditioner hose starts leaking on the inside... OMG! back in the shop. Took forever for the hose to come in and forever to get the repair done (no staff) I told husband I am afraid to drive the damn thing now hahaha

I can grow and can food... grandmother saw to that. I need to pass this skill down to my girls. I did it all my childhood.. this is what she was doing, I was with her...so - time to pop beans!!! I loved that time with her. Pressure cooker on the stove... all the veggies being prepped.. Loved it. I want to do it. But, I didn't feel good enough to start a garden in the early spring as I was just recovering from that big surgery and a broken heart from being away from the kids. Its happening next spring. Till then... I can certainly buy all the nice fresh stuff and put it up! Or... stock can goods till I can do something different.

I don't even recognize this new world we are living in NMC!

@soup I don’t recognize it, either. 🙁

I told God today that if things get too bad out there, just take me out. I can barely stand the world we live in now.

@notmycircus I try to draw on the past and look back and remember what the world was like at different times and how the adults responded to the change(s)

My grandparents thought the hippies were insane lunatics, dirty, crazy drug addicts that were ruining the world.

My parents thought the 80's were a bunch of cocaine using whores. LOL

Of course there was no scourge (CV) but there were wars and issues and people fighting in the streets for change. Each generation thinks the last was rude without manners.

This is what I know. These little kids coming up are freaking smart. Incredibly smart. Teens are doing good things out there. My teenage granddaughter is doing so many incredible things right now. And, she has plans already.

The 20's are not interested in sitting in a corp job being treated like shit. They will not do it. My husband can barely find anyone that wants the corp job they offer. These young people see no value in any of it no matter what the pay. They can go make a youtube channel and talk about the environment or social problems... and make more money on AD's... and they know it. Having a McMansion is not attractive to them. Experiences are. They are not as materialistic as some generations before. Don't try to give them your antiques in your will...they don't want it. They don't see the sentiment we did... (me collecting grannies stuff)

So, I have hope. I think they will find a way. It wont be our way. It wont look anything like what we do or what we like but you know what???? Ours looked different too.

I happen to have 3 of the most polite well mannered, sweet hearted little girls coming up behind me. I gave them my soul... I tried to pour all the good my grandparents gave to me into them. I have a teenage granddaughter that gives time to a nursing home... she does not have to. She wants to. She spends time in a barn instead of on her phone. So, I know its possible.

I don't recognize most of it, but I have hope ... cos I do see good kids, tweens, and teens. I also see some pretty good 20 and 30 somethings.

I bet it all works out .....

Learned a new word today.  Someone offered to write a "plagfree" post for the site. Like this would be a special oddity.

I'm going to pass.

@sophiab that's what I assumed.

"...The article would be informative and completely optimized according to SEO guidelines. I am providing 100% Plagfree article to you. I firmly believe that it will add great value to both of us!"

I just told Allie... I am starving FOR ASTROLOGY! I mean starving for it. Like the old days when people started threads about aspects and synastry ... I have peaked... I have learned so much but I am starving for MORE...

Where are the people? I learned so much here. Glad to pass what I know.... want MORE from the people that know so much more than me.

I am sick of politics and the stupid CV and mask debates...I WANT ASTROLOGY!!! I mean I am jones-ing for it!

I compare this to all rub and no release HAHA

I need more. Wish the old folks would come back and spill it all over the place again.... and I thank them all for what they have taught me so far.

So funny.... the more you know, the more you don't know. You can learn endlessly.... I just love it.

I don't want to get my astrology from the people on TikTok... there is a fountain of it in snip-its but its just NOT the same.

Edit: Also, you should see me read Tarot now WHOOHOO... been studying for a year... no expert but I am getting GOOD at it. And, I love it.
