Finishing up final papers. It feels good being so close to the finish line but I’m totally exhausted.  I should be completely done with everything by tomorrow night.  My plan is to stay up all night writing and into tomorrow since I don’t have to intern tomorrow. I’ll sleep tomorrow night. On Tues, I have a final presentation. Last class is on Thurs.

It’s been really hard balancing everything…trying to be a good mom while going to grad school hasn’t been easy.  I want to completely focus on my son when I’m done. I also want to focus on more domestic stuff.

Getting things straightened up at home before my colonoscopy. Colon prep is set up to be mixed tomorrow morning (oh yaaaaay). By this time tomorrow evening, I expect to be married to the toilet while binging on silly YouTube videos all night via my laptop.

Purging at my house. Helping my parents in general at their house.

My parent’s dog is a sweetie but she is wide ass open, pedal to the metal. We have never ever had a dog like that. She was standing on my shoulders and licking my face before I knew what was going on! I don’t know that I have ever had a cat on my shoulders let alone a 25-pound hyper dog. I convinced my dad to create her a run so that she could be outside safely for a few minutes each day. She runs and the harness catches and all 4 feet come off the ground then she gets traction and takes off again. She has a harness vest type thingy so she isn’t hurting her neck. dog_gif

Trying to catch up on stuff, but every day something new (or old, reheated) comes up.

I feel like Sisyphus, but instead of rolling a boulder uphill it’s a big bunch of little stones that roll all over the place.

I’m not saying it’s busting my ball bearings, but almost.

Colonoscopy went well. I was out like a light. 💤 🛌

The doctor saw inflammation in a new part of the colon, and the old part is healed. He suspects ulcerative colitis at this point. I’ll have more answers next week.

Gutter crashed down over the weekend. I was replaced today – I’ve never seen a gutter made before (85 ft long).  But they’ve never seen a “Yankee” woman tillin’ her garden on something like this

With no hood on, no less.  So we were all amused.

Also, they spied some powerade in the garage… I wound up pouring over ice in glass pictures… we all sipped some.

They also fixed the gutter in front so it would not fall. Insane bargain, I must say.

Currently trying to find the energy to finish cleaning the kitchen and get dinner on.

I’m also in the process of getting problem foods out of my kitchen and buying foods that are safer to eat. Since I’ve been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, I’m slowly revamping my diet.

I’ll tell you what: I wish Shiny Taurus was here to talk to about this. He had UC and knew all about the journey it takes you on. (He was on a bunch of meds for it and wore an ostomy bag.)  I have family members with gut issues, but at times it still feels like I’m facing this by myself.

I applied for a part-time job at a non-profit. I feel like I should hoard money like a squirrel getting ready for winter. I even bought two big boxes of ramen that were on sale. I haven’t worked two jobs since college which is a long time ago. Weirdness. If I feel like I should do something I just do it I don’t question.

I’m going to go out and mow the lawn. I think it’s dry enough (the grass from the dew, not the ground) 😑 So much rain you have to mow when you see a window of dry time.
