When I  turned 60 my LH was ill so that was how my saturn return played out as well. Now I am laying low. I first had plans to move to Florida this coming fall but with covid it does not feel realistic at this time. My children need me right now in their lives.

Turning 65 in Nov. I will be officially a Senior Citizen. {Sigh}

I can’t edit my previous mssg. What I meant was having those transits together (saturn return and jupiter return) only happens once in a lifetime. 59-60

It does seem a true marker of time.  At least for women, menopause is behind you. Generally speaking, your kids are raised as well. This opens doors. It’s like you’re older but have more freedom.

Thanks for posting this. I’d never thought about it before.

I love being older! I do miss the regular easy contact with people that work provided, but it just takes a little more effort to find activity groups like book clubs or yoga classes. That said, with the pandemic pffft!
(Not sure why it indented like that)

If I could rewind, I would learn an instrument- something I could enjoy playing solo or with others. I have tried learning since I retired, but it takes a while to get good. If I’d invested the time earlier it would be so fun to sit around and play. Now it is a little painful to hear and I don’t want my husband to run away!

Also, we traveled a ton when we were younger. These days it is such a hassle, and more of a hassle when you are older so I am so glad we did it earlier.

I think another thing is to really work on your friendships when you are younger so they are there for you – already broken in and comfortable by the time you are old. It is harder to make deep new friends when you are older.
