Today one of my housemate's daughters asked me if I'd heard about a trucker strike that might happen soon. (She follows NewsMax, OANN, etc. while I'm only aware of what the MSM and local news reports--if I watch the news at all.) I've heard nothing but crickets on that, but I looked it up. The only news outlets reporting on it are mediaite, Gateway Pundit and the other right-wing outlier sites. I do think there is something going on, however, because on Facebook there's at least one page rallying truckers to go on strike. Australia's truckers are already on strike, I believe, and the U.S. is likely next. I think it has to do with vaxx mandates, although I also think there are other reasons (the war ending and how that was handled by TPTB).

Lately I keep reading comments from homesteaders, Christians, and of course preppers. They ALL SAY THE SAME THING--put food away NOW. Grow food. Can it, dry it, buy it, freeze it, whatever. As much as you can, as fast as you can. They sense an urgency in their spirit, like God is telling them time is up, get to work. Keep very busy. VERY busy. Those who are "awake" are warning everyone else to put and two together. Open your pretty little eyes and look around, see what's going on, what's coming down the pike, and get your homes in order if you're not already doing that. I would love it if they'd be more precise about what they see, but as Elsa well knows--gotta speak in code these days. 😏

Just wondered if anyone here has heard anything.

The large trucking companies (Knight/Swift) will keep moving. There are not enough independent truckers to make something like this work. We've slept on everything for so long, there are very few options open to us.

@elsa Thanks for weighing in. I know your husband worked in trucking, so I figured you have some knowledge of whether something like this could happen or not.

Side note: I went to a trucking forum to see what they’re saying about it over there. Turns out truckers are a diverse and highly independent bunch! One guy said he was Unionist/Liberal/Democrat/something (basically a flaming liberal, lol) and that he’s in favor of the vaxxines and the mandates. He also stated that he’s not changing anyone else’s mind and one is changing his, so they’re wasting their time if they argue with him. He said if you try to get four truckers to agree on doing something, all four will have different ways of doing it and they will be all over the place. (So basically trying to get truckers to work as a group is like herding cats. 😂)

I think trucking has more to  worry about with automation.
