A Facebook button for the posts where friends relate something terrible that has happened to them or someone they love.

Something pithy instead of LIKE that means: “I like you, and I want to click on a button right now to show my support; but I in no way endorse this undeserved pile of sh*t that has befallen you.”

Something like that.

I think they need to invent a machine that washes and dries clothes so you don't have to move them from one machine to another.

Call it a "Whuffering button"...why stop at fazebook, make lapel buttons saying "Push to Whuffer" to wear while in the company of others, or have some written in reverse image for mirror viewing of personal Whuffering.

This is/was a reality, saw advertised on tv some years ago. Not sure how popular they were. Now if they could fold them ...cool

Star Trek-like Holodeck. Besides being able to use it to mimic landscapes on other Worlds (with certain safeguards)..... it could also double as military training (or Education or Business) center.

Androids..... possible use as soldiers or deep sea/space exploration or mining very deep in Earth's crust. As an aside...... could also substitute for brothels employees. But this may lead to extinction of the human race as men would probably prefer them over women.

But I can dream, can't I?

They did invent that, you can choose to like, heart, "shock," "sad," or "angry" now 🙂 People use hearts most when someone on facebook posts a terrible experience.

They need to invent a universal language. One that doesn't exist now. English is becoming more universal, but there are a lot of cultural/supremacy/colonialism issues with that. We need a universal language that is not an already existing language, that everyone has to learn in addition to their native language. How amazing would the world be if we had that? Or they need to streamline those cool new prototypes that allow you to speak one language and have it translated to another instantly. I think everyone learning the same second language though would be better than using technology to communicate between languages.

They did...... it's called ENGLISH. This is only one that freely borrows words from every language it comes across..... and keeps the original meaning / spelling.

Spanish...... I suppose it is more widespread worldwide. Perhaps that one is the universal language.

If China succeeds in replacing America as the "Language of Business", then Mandarin will become the "Language of Business".

Glenn you seem to have missed half of my post. It was about having a universal language that doesn't exist now. If we were going by most widespread existing language though, only about 360 million people speak English natively. 1.2 BILLION people speak Chinese natively. Spanish is also more widespread than English, with around 400 million native speakers. It's very common for languages to borrow words from other languages, it's not an English-only thing.

Hi, Nymzie! I deactivated my FB account back in 2011 and just recently re-opened it because my sister and my best friends have been hounding me about it for a long time.

Where do you see those options? I have only seen "Like," "Comment" and "Share."
