Thanks, you guys. 🥰  You we’re the first people I thought of last night when my mind was spiraling. AfterI posted here, I looked up ways to bring down BP naturally, and found out honey can help bring it down quickly. So I took a spoonful and went to bed.

This morning my BP was down a bit: 131/91. Still high on the bottom number, but better. Just now I checked again because I have felt weird all day, tingly all over. 150/95.

It’s staying elevated. I have to do something. This is not normal for me, at all. Up until very recently I had readings of around 120 or 130 over 70 or 80. My weight ballooned, too. Maybe due to pushing myself too hard on top of sleeping 4-6 hours most nights (thanks Uranus!) I’ll have to take a hard look at my diet as well.

Thanks for the suggestions Warped and Sophia! I need to write those down.

Please cut back on your work hours and use the time to sleep.  Studies show getting 7-8 hours of quality sleep nightly is vital to prevent HBP, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Stroke, Cancer, and especially weight gain.  We eat to keep awake and moving when exhausted, but we don't burn up the calories.

Intermittent Fasting also can help.  And for a quick reduction in BP, try lying down flat for five minutes while breathing deeply.

We love you, keep us posted!

I’m back, but for a different reason. (Update on my blood pressure: still running high on a regular basis. So I will have to address it now, even though I’d rather take the Saggie Rising approach and ignore it.) Thank you all for your prayers so far.

Anyway, I’m here to ask prayers for a high school classmate who photographed my wedding a few years back. Earlier this year, we lost another classmate (they were friends for 30 years) to a massive stroke, and two days later, her ex-husband died in his sleep. Those two things were all she could take emotionally and psychologically at the time. Recently—she was dealt a third blow. She has colon cancer. Until the surgeon goes in to remove the mass they found in her sigmoid colon, she will not know how advanced her cancer is. She had to take leave from work, and even with hospital assistance, she is financially up a creek. Someone started a GoFundMe for her, so hopefully she gets enough help to focus on healing. She has children and grandchildren, so I imagine she’s terrified to leave them behind. Please pray for her healing and for the doctors to know what to do. Thank you. 🙏🏻

May God bless her with a successful surgery, favorable prognosis, full and rapid recovery, and healthy future free of cancer, amen. 🙏❤🙏

Please try the hibiscus tea. Amazon has it, large package for low price.

@warped Thank you. 🙏🏻 I do hope she gets some good news. This year has not been good for her, apart from spending time with her family.

I picked up some hibiscus tea from Walmart today (Traditional Medicinals) but will look at Amazon as well. Since I plan on trying to drink 2-3 cups a day, it could get expensive quick. Thanks for the suggestion! I read that it has been shown significantly lower blood pressure, which is good. I haven’t felt right the last two days so I’m hoping this brings some relief.

Update: The mass was biopsied, and her diagnosis is pretty bad. Stage 3 colon cancer that has metastasized to her lymphatic system aggressively.

She is facing 3-6 months of chemo and radiation.

Lord have mercy.
