Any Madonna song after her Evita album. Her Ray of Light album was supposedly her ‘spiritual’ transformation. I love Madonna, but blech! Fake!

Pre-1998 Madonna is so much better than fake, spiritual, Madonna. I prefer sexual and rebellious Madonna rather than spiritual Madonna.

Hey, listen.  “Candy Perfume Girl” performed live really cooks.

Studio version ain’t half bad…

Shopping for art supplies tonight in Michael’s Everybody Wants To Rule The World came on. Noooo. Make it stop. I never tire of Head Over Heels, however. And I dig the video with the singer’s earnest expressions and the too cool for school librarian and chimpanzee.

“Billy, Don’t Be A Hero” was the first song I ever hated, as a child of 8. Soon after, “The Night Chicago Died” and “Playground in My Mind ” drove my 4th grade self nuts. I was into Alice Cooper and real rock and roll. There have been many attacks to my listening pleasure since, but in the forefront of my mind are Whitney Houston’s screaming version of “And I Will Always Love You” and Adele’s “Someone Like You”. I also agree with an aversion to UB 40′ S fake reggae and The Eagles, although a few of their songs bring back childhood memories so I have to listen, having Venus in Cancer. ?

Great thread♥️

Also, I’m biased. I don’t like how she’s been late to her concerts the past decade! I don’t like people who treat other people like that. Technical difficulties my nose.

I love Madonna during her “ray of light” days, when she had her baby in her 40s. I thought she shined beautifully. and when she was married to Ritchie in the UK.  It seems so empty now, the way she is. I’ll still always like her stuff in the past. Memories.

I hate, loathe, utterly despise the song “I Ran” by A Flock of Seagulls.

Thanks for the reminder, Chad!

“I wanted to cry but the tears wouldn’t come”.  By the Scorpions.  Yeah.  The Scorpions.  Unbelievable.

I have heard the song once, only.

That song makes me want to take my hand, make a fist and shove it so far up my ass that it comes out my mouth and, repeatedly, hits myself in the face until I’m missing three teeth to go with two black eyes.

Oh, yeah.  Who’s that fucker named after a candy treat?  M and M? Yeah. That fucker ruins my calm.  I’m sure he’s a nice fellow, being Libra and all.

Traditional Mexican music with the oompah – oompah trumpets reeks of un-creativity.  Fuck, I could pull that shit off! Only thing is… I don’t own a 6 pack of white polyester suits.

Okay, let’s see.  Who else?  Fuck, I’m on a roll.  Matisyahoo.  Fuck the spelling.  I’d like to rip his jaw off.  I think I’ve said that before, here.  What song of his?  Pick one.  Your choice.  Same goes for the candy man.  Speaking of the candy man…

Sammy Davis Jr. sings that song one more time and I kick his balls into the goal crease.  Unless I’m missing a beat and Sammy’s singing about M and M.

What’s left?  The Final Countdown by Europe.

I’m making a fist…

I laughed until I choked.

I liked a lot of Madonna’s songs, but think she has to embrace her oldness instead of hanging on to her youth.  It isn’t a good look for her.  I always thought she might embrace the beauty of age.  I think if she did, she would be a hit and could actually spark a movement that there is beauty at every time in life.  I actually always pictured her as someone that could usher in the reincarnation of the sexuality of Mae West who embraced all of the accoutrements of sex appeal and made older women sexy.

lol but maybe to her, that’s just copying. although the newer generation, pluto sag, probably wouldnt know who mae west is. 😀

she’s all about re-inventing herself from the looks of it. maybe embracing her oldness is just another way of newness. i have no idea but i bet she knows what she’s doing even if others dont like it.

Okay.

Maybe we should post her chart and make musical predictions.

Ya know, get the ::ahem::, old bat outta her pink cloud stupor.

Who knows, maybe she’ll drop the Kabbalah, pseudo Spiritual veil and go all astrological on us?

The woman’s got a hot-box chock full of Leo.

You know, when the wheelbarrow of Capricorn hits in January, it’s gonna throw the curve ball (quincunx) to those Leo placements in her hot-box.  Yeah.  The 12th for all you neo-star oglers.

((Mars in conjunction with 3 or more placements in water signs of the 12th is affectionately called the sweat-box.  See the difference?))

Leo and Capricorn is all about the gold and the lead.  Simple alchemy.  When it is said to “get the lead out”, it isn’t just about moving faster.  It’s about purity.

Has anyone put out an album strictly about astrological musing?

I think now would be a good time. Why not?

Did chad say hot-box?

There’s a song in there somewhere…

Most 80’s songs.  It’s like everything 80’s is Great again.  My 80’s weren’t great, so all those songs just remind me of a lot of struggle and toil.  Thanks, but no thanks, I’ll pass.
