Have to chime in on the car talk. I agree with what’s been said. It has always baffled me how people’s cars are worth more than their house! 🚙. I know of some young people who get loans for brand new, trendy vehicles and then complain that they can’t afford a home loan. It seems like a no brainer to me, to just get an average car so you can afford a home 🏡. It’s gotta be vanity and ego driving (no pun intended..lol) this. Actually, downright stupidity could be at play too 🤡.

@hades-moon The thing is, vehicles depreciate the moment they’re off the lot. A house, otoh, is equity.

I know a guy, from back in the day, who was divorced and he was having money troubles (not just from the divorce), that he took a loan out against his car. Even back then, I was…🤔 that’s even a thing?

I think the telegraphing of "Roman Empire" over this last week, is meaningful.

@allie120 It's possible this is benevolent. I'm aware of this and open to it but there are still legions of people who can't catch on to anything. They are so many years in arrears at this point, I can't fathom it.

@jana Oh, that's not what I meant.

Several days ago, I started seeing "Roman Empire" everywhere.  I have to write a post about this stuff but I have not gotten got the stamina up yet. Hopefully this will make sense.

I saw it in various contexts; including Gamestop tweeting it; and eventually found the source to be tiktok. Some gal asked her man how often he thinks of the Roman Empire. He said, all the time and she was shocked.

This started other women asking their husbands and boyfriends and their answer was pretty much universal.

Now these trends are not organic.  They push this stuff out there... you know how long I have been at this, and I think you know who backed me, initially, I simply understand these things.  If I saw the original video (have not looked),  I am sure I could verify, but anyway, think, "Start spreading the news..."

The thing they push out, goes 'viral" and my point here is they are setting this in the collective head - when it happens, you'll accept it.

I asked my husband the Roman Empire question. His answer, "Quite a bit."

No surprise there, but also no surprise, because he told me about sixteen years ago this would happen. I wrote about it, of course.

He told me it would be a dark age, probably 1000 years before anything like the US came out of that.  1000 years was a BIG number at the time, but I know I wrote about it on this blog and with one or two exceptions, I was mocked and called crazy, of course!

Not that I necessarily believed him, but I did report the *way out there* information or opinion.

When I told him why I was asking the questions...

Fall of the Roman Empire, and the Greek Empire before it and every other Empire...

It’s amazing how much changed from Covid…people fleeing congested areas. Do people think that was a contributor to the bubble now? I heard that today. That and inflation from Covid bucks?

@allie120 Absolutely. A major contributor in my country was the extraordinary amount of money utilised in the pandemic. Individuals were paid more money to stay home and get tested then they would if they had of worked. We always knew that we’d end up suffering because of some of the decisions.

We had 10 interest rate rises in a row. Young families dreams of home ownership have been destroyed. It’s sad 😞.

@hades-moon Yes, it was the same here. And there was something passed (so many names for so many funding bills passed, I’m sorry that I cannot keep them straight) but states were given a boatload of funding, to which they meted out among the towns. So, here we are three years later and towns are finally deciding they can have a new park or this or that. And my town touted “lowering” (i.e., not raising) taxes when it was really because of the influx of Covid funds. They made big signs congratulating themselves. As if we’re stupid. It’s all fake. They printed money and gave it out like giving candy to toddlers and now it’s all collective dementia or mental deficiencies.

omg how did this happen I guess we need more government.

@allie120 Spot on. I can’t believe what they got away with. The fact we are all paying the price makes my blood boil 🔥.

@hades-moon I’m afraid. And there’s a good portion of me that has huge allowances. And I can accept that ❤️ But there was a hook. And it caught people.

I think we all have anecdotes that tell of that red pill, or that moment we spoke to someone who was on an entirely different plane than us….

@allie120 Yes, we certainly do. It still spins me out regarding the the ‘plane’ difference. What an eye opener 👁️ these past few years have been.

@elsa Holy smokes, that really puts a spotlight on what's going on and into complete perspective.

It's awful.
