migration

This is pandemic migration which correlates very well, with what I noted, talking to people around the world.

I did not mention, TX. FL, NC and TN, were the top picks, followed by AZ and GA.

@elsa I knew a lot of people migrated to TN. I just didn't know how many! We looked here in 2018 and bought land a few months later. We were a couple of years ahead of the masses, but we didn't miss the COL going way up. It's still far more affordable and beautiful than NJ though.

Can't find the Dark Mode survey post, but apparently dark mode IS healthier for eyesight!  Why don't eye doctors recommend it to everyone?

@warped I made it live, but we lost important text in the process so I switched back.

Really, the forum software updated; said there were new looks. I was trying to find them... not sure I succeeded. I will poke around when I get a chance. Right now, Mercury Neptune is challenging me, greatly.

@elsa

I noticed that when you had it in dark mode the right side, where it shows, for example, how many hours ago a post occurred, was cut off.  I'm actually surprised there's no way to just shift my entire phone display to dark, though it might not work well for everything, like the app I mentioned with blue lettering.

I just wanted to thank Warped, LN, Hades Moon, Elsa, and Sirena Ocean for your responses. Im sorry, I don’t have the energy to reply to all of them individually at this point, but I read and felt the positivity. So thank you.

Elsa, you were correct in pointing out that Saturn is opposing my Venus. Thank you for reminding me of the importance of transits from the chart ruler. It’s fucking with my self esteem- bad.

Pluto is also squaring my Moon. My relationship with my mother…. it’s abusive and I’m almost done, I can feel it. Im working on an escape plan. If I can’t be loved where I live then I at least need to be alone so I can love myself. At this point I would do just about anything to be free of her, but im refusing to make decisions out of desperation, like I have in the past. One thing I have gotten pretty good at though in the past few years is really focusing my emotional energy, so this time feels like the big game after a lot of hard practicing. Hopefully Ive developed my muscle memory, because I know it’s gonna be good, but tumultuous.

@libra-noir With those harsh transits plus your domestic situation, it is perfectly understandable how this would be an emotionally challenging time. I’m so sorry you are going through this hardship with your mom. When under the same roof, my mom becomes abusive towards me as well (Pluto-moon BS).

It’s great that you’re applying what you’ve learnt from the past re: decision making, and being able to focus your emotional energy. You’ve demonstrated much strength and capability here over the years, so I have complete faith that you’ll be able to get on top of things and make the necessary moves at the appropriate time/s.

In the meantime, please try not to let these transits (or your mom), fool you into believing that you’re anything short of Fabulous, because that’s what you are, Libra Noir.

I went to the doctor yesterday  and turns out I shrank! I’ve heard my mom talking about this for years. Crazy it’s happening to me at 40. I shrank 1/2 an inch. I’m now 5’8 1/2”. I had them measure me twice because I couldn’t believe it lol

@sirena-oceana I remember this happening. It turned out to be my spine! I notice my husband shrinking for the same reason. It's freaky.

@elsa yes, my back and neck hurt often. I started having pains in my mid 30’s. I’m too young for this to be happening! I’m going to research how to slow this down. I’m scared to take too many supplements but I may start doing regular epsom soaks and taking vitamin D everyday.

I already take vitamin D but I’m not consistent with it. I need to drink more milk too. Why not since I’m not intolerant

@sirena-oceana Yes, and stretch and posture..!

I'm serious. I got a traction thing for my neck It hurt so bad a year ago - I stretched the hell out of it, and apparently pulled myself additional space because my doc said it had improved and I don't feel neck pain at all anymore.  What you do/don't do really matters.

@sirena-oceana Just stretch. You want to maintain your flexibility.  Keep things moving.

@sirena-oceana

We all do.  I'm at least an inch shorter than at my tallest.  The space between my ribs and hip bones has decreased.  Too much sitting increases the upper and lower curvature of the spine, discs shrink over time compressing the vertebrae.

Stretching, elongating exercise like Pilates, "reaching" sports like volleyball, basketball, even yoga, can slow it down if done regularly.

@warped yes, it’s really common, it just accelerates differently for different people. My mom lost an inch and a half already and she’s 59. She was 5’5.5” and now 5’4”. I think I remember her telling me she shrank when she was my age. I forgot to ask about scans on my neck and back yesterday but I need them. I can ask when I go back for lab work.

I like Pilates. I took a Pilates class a long time ago and still remember a lot of the stretches and exercises.I’ll incorporate that into my daily routine.

I may have lost more than half an inch, honestly it looked more like 5’.25”. I think because I’m tall and have a long torso, I may lose much more height that average. Also have a long neck. I told my husband pretty soon we will be the same height (he’s shorter than me) and he said, “damn that means I won’t be able to wear heals anymore?!” Lol

@sirena-oceana I used to do the NYC ballet workout. Focus on lengthening and strength.  Seems ideal to counter this. Good luck.

@elsa thank you. I looked it up. Is it this?

I did some stretches tonight and some leg lifts for core strength. I think this will help for sure. My muscles and joints, especially neck feel like they really need this. It hurts a little but feels better if that makes sense. I just have to keep it up.

I drive all day most days for work, in rush hour traffic no less. I think it’s worse than sitting at a desk. I really need to keep doing this.

This is excellent, and the music is heavenly.  Classical is much more engaging than the usual pop or new age music.

@sirena-oceana Thanks for posting this. I did it yesterday! Despite feeling like a very chunky ballerina, I'm excited to try the other volumes.
