When I was young I dated a black man and lived with his family. As far as society was concerned I was black. Hearing the evil slurs spilled out at me , the betrayal of family members was just the tip of the iceberg. So yes I am passionate about this subject. If people do not think this still is going on they are delusional.

This is NOT a political issue its a Human issue.

I stand my ground.

When you go into a community (your own community by the way) and you destroy and burn all the buildings of people who did nothing wrong – small business owners who have worked those small businesses for years to feed their family – you need your ass kicked.

Stealing is wrong. Arson is wrong. Destruction of property is wrong. Shooting AK’s at the police department for over an hour is wrong. Shooting 4 police officers is wrong. Looting is wrong.

What they did to Mr. Floyd was wrong. Racism is wrong

How do we justify any of it? You just can’t! These people on TV talking about ‘it’s just stuff’ HUH? Its the life’s work of someone. I want every person that says that to allow someone to come to their home and beat the windows out, then set it on fire and burn it to the ground. Then you can walk away with nothing. And, let me know if its wrong. Start your life all over again with a very small amount of insurance money…(because they never give you much) and just start over. With nothing. You, me. whoever – you’ve never done a thing to anyone. You are busy with your job, your life and your family and you’ve done nothing to another person… but, lets burn your house to the ground.

Again, until people can reach inside their soul and find the center of their heart and love with …. LOVE WITH IT… nothing will change.

Live 15 minutes away from that video I posted and let me know how you’d feel. It was like the wild west. Like a WAR. And, the police were tied up so the citizens had NO PROTECTION.

It was bullshit.

Then instead of the President trying to unite us and calm us down he’s saying “when the looting starts the shooting starts?!?” WTF! How is this ok from the leader of a country? He is not a leader. A leader would stop the name calling and finger pointing during a f*cking crisis, when everyone is losing it, and get to work and recruit experts who can help us and reassure all of us. We don’t need more violence.

It might help calm the fears of those who’s businesses and livelihoods are being destroyed and werent being protected by the local police. I also believe that going hard at the rioters will allow the authentic protests to be heard, which also may be a goal of that presidential action. So it also might make the genuine voices feel more comfortable to protest because they won’t be infiltrated and undermined by people who hold no principles other than chaos and destruction. Then a REAL conversation can happen. I think the delivery of messages is rough sometimes.

Recently I saw film director Spike Lee interviewed by the BBC News Art Editor (they were discussing his latest film on black Vietnam war veterans.)

The man said some wise things. He’s 63. He’s seen things. He’s mellowed. He’s got some wisdom.

I tried to find the long video I saw yet can only find a 4-minute edited version that doesn’t include all he said which was this (my comments are in brackets):

– protesters (the ones sharing the BLM message and protesting for George Floyd’s unfair and unnecessary death) are angry for a reason and he said it’s nothing new

– he described the BLM protesters (not the looters!) as his white and black and brown fellow sisters and brothers (see the united message there?)

– he said people have been angry for a long time…black lives have not mattered, you see??

– deaths of this kind (unfair, excessive, thoughtless) with regards to black people are nothing new, sadly

– things have been like this for 400 years due to genocide, slavery and financial, violent and educational oppresion of natives/indigenous groups, blacks and minorities.

– he said that, in his view, the architecture of the USA (with its foundations on genocide, slavery, segregation and systemic oppression) has a shaky foundation…and he said that any architect would say that a shaky foundation is problematic…

– he called out the UK for its slavery trade history and the fact that its foundations are also based on slavery exploitation and trade

– he said racism is everywhere in the world yet that no one does it better than the USA

I hear what every voice here is saying and think we are having a brave, uncomfortable and sometimes fear-,  anxiety- and anger-provoking discussion here. Sometimes I tell myself to not write here. It’s hard stuff and it’s touching our cores and values. Yet I think it can help to stay in this discussion no matter the ambivalence I feel…

This stuff that is happening now is all Pluto. The racism, the projections of darkness onto dark skin I mentioned in an earlier post, the violence, the looting, the killing, the dehumanising people, not valuing lives, the degradation…all Pluto.

Transiting Pluto in Capricorn…eclipses this summer around the USA’s Cancer and Cap planets…

It looks to me that the shaky foundations are again (like in past protests and old anger- and rage-filled riots after brutality) being challenged with the Pluto return.

400 years cannot be wiped out in 5 or 6 decades.

Also here in the UK black and brown communities die more of Covid-19 (like in the USA) due to the socioeconomic realities resulting from oppression, segregation (in the UK segregation wasn’t legal so overt discrimination in all areas from housing to health to employment to bank loans took place) and racism (like in the USA) which mean many live in disadvantageous circumstances. In the UK they also overrepresent helping and caring professions so more exposure there. More enquiries will illuminate other reasons for these increased deaths.

There’s more work to be done everywhere by everyone hopefully.

Let’s hope Love, the fact that we are all connected (when you kill another, you kill yourself) and people risking to see things outside their bubbles and familiar narratives can lead the transformations in the next decades.

And it starts at home and with what a child hears and sees and what a child doesn’t hear or see. The conversations at home, school, in social circles, the diversity and inclusion (or lack of it) around them…

One trend I’m noticing with these protests is they start out peacefully, then outsiders come in and set off riots/looting/violence. Why is that? Are they trying to undermine the efforts of the peaceful protesters, and turn the public against them and their cause?

It’s a mix of wanting free stuff and undermining the protests and movement.

YouTube star Jake Star is in hot water with the law for being present at the lootings, in a mall in Arizona. He claims he and his buddies were just filming what was going on.

Someone nearby yelled “Yo, get me a free cologne!” but he swears that person was not part of his group.

Oops, I meant to say Jake Paul! LOL! I got him and Jeffree Star mixed up.

Jake is the brother of Logan Paul. the guy whose group turned Japan into their playground before heading off into the suicide forest and filming a dead guy hanging from a tree.

I swear those guys are two peas in a pod.

Yes. There has been some investigations into it. White nationalist under the disguise of antifa ;traced back to facebook accounts, organizing to go into these peaceful protests to create unrest .
