The other day I wondered about this. A thought crossed my mind:

This problem started with white people. Why are we expecting the black community to fix the mess we made?

I’m not sure what the right solution is yet, either. It’s almost like messages are being willfully lost in translation. The “take a knee” is a prime example. It was intended to send one message but it ended up being absorbed as a much different, and much darker message.

It will likely happen naturally as the older generations that were raised in more divided and oppressive times die… the younger generations are generally more worldly and accepting.

Yes it’s interesting that statistical models currently predict that by 2050, all mankind will be more or less the same skin tone, so hopefully that will filter out superiority and inferiority complexes, among other things…..

Also, 2054 is the next Saturn-Pluto conjunction in Pisces.

Yes there is. Dr. King had a Dream. He knew the power of mind, of vision. Everything starts out as an idea. The ideas we hold manifest into reality. Violence is born from hateful thoughts. I hold an image and feeling of a loving unified human race and I meditate on unity. I know what’s possible. Who will join me?

Saturn Pluto… That’s what’s going on astrologically in my view. We are still feeling its effects.

My position on the whole thing that I thought I would express since y’all seem to be skating round it a little (thus I thought I should say it) and moving towards “spiritual bypassing”, is as follows:

I have seen the David Dorn video a fair few times now. I didn’t go looking for it it just turns up on my twitter feed. I didn’t have any emotional reaction at first. I wondered what was wrong with me exactly. Then a bit later I realised that the emotion that I was experiencing has been suppressed.

I have seen some pretty unpleasant stuff from these protesters. In my very casual understanding of the situation I do not think it is justified. The coroners report has stated that the neck injury was not relevant to George Floyds death and he likely had a heart attack from overdosing on Fentinel. Hence the ‘I can’t breath’. And hence needing to be restrained. It looks like he had some sort of heart attack when they were going to put him into the car and they translated this as resisting arrest. They guy was a 6’5″ muscly dude so they probably felt they needed some force in this.

Regardless, even if he was shot in cold blood what I have seen from the ‘protesters’ is sick. I have seen a lot I don’t need to put here. And if it were me I would not respond like that. You wait for an investigation. If the investigation is corrupt then you raise money and lobby for it, or you elect a politician who will do so. Much of the looting George Floyds name isn’t mentioned. There are videos of this looting. It is not alt right white guys even if CNN says it is.

So I can see the game. The Trump administration is holding out because a lot of Americans if they don’t see what the Democrats are like would vote Democrat again. Like they have for years. If he lost the election this would happen every week. He can’t exactly go in and then have the Democrats blame him for the violence that is going to have to happen. It has to be realised that it has to happen.

And that’s where I stand on this. The response to the David Dorn video and a lot of this stuff is just pure anger. The thoughts I use to comfort myself when I see this is a montage of the tanks moving in and police with battons going in and smashing heads. So I put off the emotion in the now and look forward to these events happening.

One of the guys that was outside the pawn shop apparently said to the looter who did it ‘You did that for videos man, that was someone’s grandaddy’. It was also someones husband. I don’t think this entire group is criminal many are just misguided but I do think that law and order in these events should be restored in a very hard way.

There were 2 autopsies . You are referring to the first. 2nd came out was due to asphyxiation . The knee on the neck.

The officer behind him had both knees on his back, compressing his lungs. The knee on the neck choked him, but being unable to open his lungs didn’t help.

Also–at no point in the video do I remember seeing any attempts to revive him. No chest compressions, no CPR, no nothing! Just dragged his body onto the gurney like a slab of meat, no display of emotion. It’s like, oh well, he’s dead. No one is talking about this. Why??

Soph..If I recall you do not live in the U S A do you?. Most of the looting was done by outsiders. Nothing wrong with a peaceful protest. I have seen peaceful protesters still being attacked by the police.

An additional point. I would like to say that since this is the coroners report I would think it’s not correct to say this was a “racist attack” when it wasn’t. Don’t give an inch of ground to BLM.

Also. BLM’s back story is not legitimate in my view. Many of the people they say are nice and not resisting arrest were actually people with a twenty year criminal history and that were resisting arrest.

Statistically, the police are more likely to shoot a white violent offender dead in America than a black one.

I’ve seen a picture of the cops on social media. It looks like of the four cops. Two were white, one was black, one was chinese.

The David Dorn video… unfortunately I too saw this.

Anyone with a beating heart in their chest would double over in horror … he was treated like nothing. HE was a good man.

It not only makes me want to scream cry but the secondary emotion is overwhelming ANGER at how no one will be held accountable for this.

Why is this not national news?

Seems everything is UPSIDE DOWN right now.

What happened to right vs wrong? This is a pretty simple concept. There are rules and laws to keep us in a civilized society. Nothing about this was civilized.

It was like a total collapse in civilized society. Like I said… if you were here, if you experienced it … you would have to be blind if you disagree.

Phoenix.. I agree with you.

It’s not enough to cry and get mad. There has to be a follow-through. If you have ever worked a public job with other humans you have probably encountered a dickhead/bitch. For every time that they were called into the office or wrote up, they do multiple things that they weren’t reprimanded for. That is a fabulous place to start. In the home, in the classroom, in the workplace.

I have so many thoughts on this and am disgusted and saddened by peoples lack of empathy and sometimes even lack of vocalizing all that was wrong with what happened to George Floyd. He’s the most current but things like this have been happening for ages. People were bound to explode.

Someone above mentioned it’s the way it’s always been and it will always be this way… Are we all supposed to just accept it and just let something so unfair go on?  Why not try to educate ourselves and treat them as equal human beings? I am glad protests are happening and that people are opening their eyes. It usually has to be something really ugly for people to wake up. I also really wish people would be as outraged at a murder by people who are supposed to protect us as much as they are with the looting and riots. I DO NOT condone the looting and rioting at all but come on… be as outraged at the injustice for human life.

My sons school gave them an assignment this week about why life is sacred. I had to sit there with him and explain all this nonsense. He was sad. We never talk about race in my house because my kids go to very diverse schools so I never think it’ll be an issue but I will have to start having these conversations. I will not raise men who are not fair and kind.

Then instead of the President trying to unite us and calm us down he’s saying “when the looting starts the shooting starts?!?” WTF! How is this ok from the leader of a country? He is not a leader. A leader would stop the name calling and finger pointing during a f*cking crisis, when everyone is losing it, and get to work and recruit experts who can help us and reassure all of us. We don’t need more violence.

What’s so hard about treating others as you’d want to be treated? What’s so hard about being kind? Obviously, for some it’s very hard. It’s shameful.

People need to start being nicer to those outside their bubble.

And I know I probably sound rude in this post. But I’m over it. People are so disappointing.

Another thing- please stop telling people how to feel about all the racism they’ve experienced their whole lives. There’s no way for you to put yourself in their shoes.
