We have two Shih Tzu/Lhasa mixes, a Havanese and a terrier of some sort. They’re all a pain in my ass lol, but I love them.

This is my puppy’s chart (accurate birth time). Her Sun squares my moon almost exact, her Venus, Mars Pluto conjunct my Sun and Saturn.. She’s my first dog and at times I feel like I’m in over my head. Although she’s calmed down a lot she still chews on things, she’s very stubborn but also very sweet.
She will chew on things for at least a year or two, so get in the habit of keeping all things out of reach. ALL things. I've had dogs chew or eat books, shoes, socks, jewelry, clothing, pillows, furniture, whole bananas, a whole cantaloupe, more! Make sure to never let her eat grapes, spicy foods, fatty foods, raisins, onions, chocolate, coffee, alcohol, sugar free gum or anything containing xylitol, apple cores, peach pits, chicken bones, plants, etc.
Get and read at least one comprehensive book on dog care. "The Forever Dog" is a fairly new and very good one.

@caprittarius Ditto what @warped said. This is all because she’s a puppy, less her chart, for now. It’s a great time to train her, give her alternate, appropriate things to chew (try to keep the things you don’t want her to chew out of her reach), play with her a lot, as she needs to burn off that puppy energy!
Depending on her breed/personality, she might even need a “job”! Training basic commands as well as other fun tricks can help.
It can be a lot of work but also so rewarding. Congratulations on your new best friend!
What a whirlwind weekend! Everyone just left from the Memorial Day bbq, which topped off the start of the long weekend on Friday.
We picked up the granddaughters from school and went over to pick up the kitten. That was over an hour away. By the end we had the four year old crying as well as the kitten 😂
Our oldest granddaughter stayed over two nights and was absolutely glued to the kitten.

I’ve been taking Pixie on short car rides in her carrier. At first she meowed a lot but lately she has only meowed a few times, then lays down and looks up at the passing treetops. Maybe I’ll elevate her some, buckle her in, and let her see a little more out the window.
I regret I never did this with my other cats and with the exception of moving here to Connecticut, they never went anywhere but the vet and that’s not much fun.
I also got her a kitten harness but she’s still too small 😅. She gets her final distemper and a rabies shot at the end of the month, so I’m sure she’ll be big enough for it. Then we can get used to that!
