Just came across a feature on the BBC website …
“Britain’s youngest Euromillions winner reportedly wants to sue the people who run the lottery for ruining her life with her big win. Jane Park, who was only 17 when she won, says the age you can play needs to go up to 18.“

Well, shoot, I could use a newer vehicle right about now. And a mobility van so ST and I can go out once in awhile. We could get out of the welfare system, buy a house, get out of debt….

I would love to have her problems! I saw this in my news feed a few days ago too, was shaking my head.
Here’s an idea, she could donate it and give it all away – it would be like it never happened! Problem solved. Or she could hire a therapist, or hire the best financial planner money can buy. I get it, even good things come with their challenges, but come on, have some perspective!

First things she bought ……Louis Vuitton bag ….then when she turned 18 – a boob job.
So, there is the worst mistake of a life time. Not the handbag…the boob job.
Winning ruined her life? There are people drinking out of mud puddles and she has a ruined life from millions of dollars. This just goes to show you how screwed up people are.
Hey girl…..if you want to feel good….how about you go to homeless shelters or help some children that have nothing to eat. You’re just looking for attention…. makes me sick

She may be naive, confused, and ignorant, but I 100% agree that letting 16yr olds play the lottery is a problem. That is WAY too young :/ You can’t even get your driver’s license when you’re 16 in the UK, but they can start up their gambling careers and be handed millions? I could see kids ruining their lives by winning the lottery too young. Especially if the parents aren’t involved. You know how dumdum celebrities are always getting themselves bankrupt? I’m pretty sure the same thing would happen to most children who win the lotto. They could get into all sorts of craziness if they have the money, and they would be SO EASY to manipulate and take advantage of. And yeah you would basically be done with your friends. It’s probably super isolating. If you’re not a millionaire kid already, surrounded by other rich kids, none of your friends will ever understand you or sympathize with your problems again.
She SHOULD give the money to charity, but again she’s a dumb shit teenager. She was 17. Some 17yr olds are mature and have their shit together by then but… let’s be realistic here. A lot of people are fucking terrible until their mid-late 20s. Her brain isn’t even done growing yet. If you’re not forced to grow up early, and you’re not chock-full of that Capricorn energy, you’re not going to be mature at 17.
Speaking of Capricorn. She’s 21 now, which means shes in her Saturn square. Maybe having thousands of people ridiculing and berating her on the internet will help her grow up a bit 🙂 She did already backpedal on her plan to sue.

I have no problem with her stating her opinion, “The lottery should be for 18+.”
But once she threatened to sue it just changes the story. She’s just looking for attention now.
And I agree with Nymzie, most under 25 year olds aren’t fully mature yet. I might even move it up to 30, to be quite honest.

Her real problem is she’s still got all the non-financial problems of a 21 year-old and the money isn’t solving that. So she’s looking for someone to blame.
Another article I read makes a funny point … that if she does sue the lottery and wins the case, then she’ll win even more money!!
