I live a bucolic life at this point but I have to admit, I found myself checking out Farfetch. The dresses, specifically and then the shoes. And I really wanted to shop!

This is bizarre. I felt this urge to click and buy, buy, buy, some beautiful clothes. And I know it’s tied to the pandemic… and my Libra.

It all the sad music in advertisements, the barren streets, the muted tones.  There’s no balance, man.

Anyone else want to see a pop of color somewhere?

I’ll admit I bought a dahlia bulb on impulse at the grocery store awhile back.  Saw the bright orange flower on the package and grabbed a plant after a little hesitation (practicality vs. mental health).

The other day I was at the hardware store to pick up some much-needed gardening items. Grabbed a citronella plant for the mosquitoes–again on impulse–and almost picked up a couple of colorful flower plants as well.

I agree, the current social climate is VERY hard on Libras. While my Venus in Virgo prefers to stay practical, my Libra Sun HAS to have something beautiful to look at. I need to smile again.

Dahlia tubers are edible so you’re actually not being overly extravagant! whacky_gif

I recently purchased a few tarot decks. I’d been planning to anyway, but went ahead and did it, all together. I see the connection to Libra. I put a lot of thought into the decks I choose. I love the energy and the artwork (it’s stunning).

The irony is that now is probably the best retail buying period, because a lot of stores are struggling, filing for bankruptcy or doing fire sales, so many will be moving inventory at deep discounts – “bargains” can be found. That said, most ultra luxury brands don’t typically offer discounts or sales …. they don’t need to.

Absolutely! I was just CRAVING beauty the other day. Luckily I do live in a beautiful place on my moms property. Shes got about 30 rose bushes that just bloomed- makes my heart sing and thats free!

I have spent a little money though. Like Buendia I did buy a beautiful tarot deck that I fell in love with, called the Tarot of Transformation which was kinda pricey for a deck. I pay ten dollars a month for apple music, and have been listening to the most amazing playlist, New Age Essentials. So, nothing crazy, but little things that bring more beauty to my world.

I have one rose bush that’s blooming now, and I feel the same:)) I was out there with it the other day, snapping some pictures. Joyous.

Once Jupiter and Saturn goes into Aquarius, together, I hope that there’s less of a depressing feel to the collective atmosphere.

I am so desperate not to buy new things, but to use what I have. And Facebook/Insta show ads of these delectable things from independent small stores that are really struggling. I can afford to buy them full price, but I just don’t want to consume more.

That said, in the post Corona world, I will buy a pair of heels I have my eyes on since forever. They cost a pretty penny, and are so impractical for Scandinavian weather and cobblestones+public transportation combo. But buy them, I will.

I also need a decent luxury purse, if and when it’s safe to go outside. I have never bought one in my life! Growing up, I was a tomboy and as an adult, I have received office purses as gifts – ironically from my mom, mother in law and elder sister. So, they have always been big, clunky, old fashioned. My heart is set on a sleek, discretely branded black evening bag. Perhaps a crossbody even!  I want the aesthetics of A.P.C, but not pay its prices. 😄

I so relate to this topic 😃

I have found myself looking at more online fashion, and admiring all the colourful make up palettes available at online cosmetic stores.

I am trying to be conservative as I can with money, but couldn’t resist buying from my fave French skincare company; L’Occitane. Hopefully today, their new fragrance gift pack will arrive..yay 🥳

Light and colour are definitely required in such dark times.

I believe what we’re experiencing is called the “lipstick effect”.

After 9/11, lipstick sales went up. During WWII, women everywhere dolled themselves up to keep the soldiers’ spirits up and remind them why they were fighting in the war. When times are hard, a little luxury goes a long way to lift spirits.

Just today I was thinking about the book “84, Charing Cross Road”. The author found out about the struggles of British people  to get basic food items and it shocked her. (At this time, WWII was going in the background.) So as a blessing to the staff at Marks & Co–who had helped her find exquisite and cheap copies of her favorite books–she bought tins of food from a Danish catalog her British friend in NYC showed her. The staff at the book shop were delighted! These items…canned meat, eggs…..were extremely hard to get or could only be purchased on the black market.

It makes so much sense to crave for beauty and beautiful things during this time.

When I stockpiled some food end of Feb and beginning of March I also bought over the internet a couple of awesome red lipsticks from Lisa Eldridge (UK make up artist)…I knew I’d need something new and lovely to keep me going if we’d end up in lockdown.

I always wear red lipstick and still do during the work week as I am working from home (do lots of video work.)

Don’t know if it’s due to the context, or just the usual when nice weather comes around I feel like wearing flowery dresses or other such stuff that doesn’t suit me at all… so I don’t buy.

As for luxury goods I’m not sure if this applies – running out of my usual brand of tea (that I get in a specialized tea store), I ordered several packages + roiboos via internet & had it delivered. To me this is luxury, usually I go to one of the store in Paris, but due to confinement can’t go outside of a 1 kilometer distance. So I guess I’m too finicky to buy supermarket tea…

I’ve had this urge too. I really want to update my wardrobe. Uranus in Taurus recently squared my Midheaven, so I’ve been wanting to change how I present to the world. I chose a $100 gift card to a fashionable clothing store as a credit card reward, and I don’t know how soon I’ll use it (and I’m sure it won’t cover everything), but I will.
