We have a meat market in our little town. After we call and make an order they bring it out to our car. They  had to make restrictions as well. All the small markets get their meat from one processor in our area. The large stores like Krogers , Walmart and Meijers do not do that. We have no Idea where they are getting their meat.

Meat is scarce. Prices rising fast.

People are darting around trying to get whatever. It's getting worse not better. No one knows anything.

There are limits on many things. I sure hope this turns around. I am concerned for my children. I don't think they understand this.

My local butcher charges $6.99 a pound for ground beef. eek_gif

20 years ago I paid $1.00 a pound for ground beef. Now it's $4.00-7.00 a pound at the grocery store.

Guess I'll take a page out of Mom's tightwad playbook, and stretch my meat through soups, stews and pizzas. I'll also have to learn to do like she does and make more foods homemade. She makes pizza crusts, bread, etc. by hand to save money.

We are headed into a famine.

The price for a double quarter pounder meal has gone up in the past three years, or so! That's McDonald's for ya.

I wish my brain was in *Scrooge mode*. We have several old rolls of commercial toilet paper (big doughnut thing) just sitting around 'cause we can't use it in our dispensers. This morning I was with the guys and looking at the rolls.... when I realized we could've sold them back when toilet paper became scarce. Oh well.... they were looking pretty ratty. Better to burn them on the woodpile.

Like most military organizations, we are not doing much this year. Old men just wanted to keep far away as possible.

Tonight I had to make a trip to Ingles because Kroger could not find flour tortillas nor dryer sheets for my order.

Ingles had a small selection of the tortillas, but they had them.

They are now making their aisles one-way, and customers can only order 2 packs of meat. Yeah, think I'll stick with the local butcher. They have no limits yet.
