I wonder if anyone has ideas how we might get out of this mess we're in. I don't believe there is even a tiny shred of hope we can "vote" our way out of it. Like ZERO chance of that.

I wonder what you think.

I agree, no voting our way out of this mess. Might take a natural catastrophe to shake people out of this ongoing fisticuffs in just about every area of belief structures we seem to be stuck in.

Agree here, too - voting won't help. When the C virus hit, I felt it may have made a difference, for once we were all pretty much in the same boat, we could all relate to a common problem. But ultimately, that only served in segregating ourselves from each other even more, denigrating each other for what we may/may not believe in. It's crazy, I couldn't even begin to start unpicking it.

I don’t really know but I think we have a better shot if we maintain focus on the things we have in common rather than the things that we don’t. Honestly basically Libra things-relating, connecting, etc. but that’s my own personal focus of course.

I agree too, but imo too many people don't. And that's the rub.

@starcrest just hearing people say this and agree, is a start.

I feel billionaires collude to keep average people constantly at odds against a long list of of things of every kind, imaginable.  It's a big waste of energy. If we actually banded together that would be that.

Voting is all we have.  At least we then have a chance to change things.  If you don't vote, there is no chance.

The main thing we can all agree on is the country isn't doing well at all and we're in a very dark place at the moment.

@jofrance I vote on opening day over the last ten years or so. I won't vote this this election or any election. I know it's two sides of the same coin.  It's not a chance, it's the illusion of a chance.
