Well if Biden gets his way, apparently we can all look forward to more lockdown and mandatory masking everywhere!

@strawb So far I heard the governor of I think Tennessee and definitely SD say he does not have that authority and they won't be doing that. I'm sure other states will follow. Not mine though! I hope you are somewhere ok!

@strawb, he can't do that.  Its unconstitutional.  If states want to comply, they will, but if not, there is nothing he can do about it.  I'm sure my state will be all in.  My governor loves lockdowns.

@strawb I have to correct myself - it was Mississippi and South Dakota, and now also Georgia and Florida. More states should follow. My family and I will be squatters somewhere soon 😂

Sorry, Texas not Georgia. I'm having a hard time keeping my mind straight this morning!

Earlier this week I decided to visit a new Ace Hardware store for the first time, since I needed a terra cotta pot saucer for one of my plants. There's a Hallmark store inside, and it looked like they were decorated for Christmas inside.

Anyway....they were closed. What?? It was almost 6:30 PM. The store hours posted said they close at 7 PM. Then I saw the typed-up sign that said as of November 1st, they would start closing at 6 PM.

Wait a minute.....don't stores typically ADD shopping hours during the holidays? I don't know if they're closing earlier due to COVID or due to not having enough staff. I didn't ask when I went in next time.

The governor of my state had issued a curfew and they kinda did a little backpedal on the way it was worded so that it's not exactly mandated but it's not exactly recommended that people be out and about between the hours of ten in the evening and five in the morning either... I had my window open because my room is the hottest in the house and I heard some really disturbing exchange between the police and two people who were taking a walk a little before midnight because they didn't have any dog to walk and they were not wearing masks and it was online that people were not going to be PULLED OVER by the cops if they were out during those hours but I live in the suburbs and they were on foot and I heard I'm almost certain what appeared to be saying something about when court dates are held or if you want to contest it, maybe they just got a ticket but it made me think "did he just get Miranda'd and say something about right to a speedy trial?" They didn't get in the car or anything but I looked on the website and technically you can get a charge for up to 60 days in jail for a violation if it is your second one but the curfew just started last night. The cases in my county and city keep rising and I don't know if I should say anything about this but oh well, might as well... I thought I was having a heart attack the other night chest pain couldn't breathe and I went to the ER and they gave me a test for covid19 among the other ones and I don't even leave the house but it's positive, and I've just been flat on the bed with my cats doing some work when I can get the energy between fever and dizziness. They told me to come back if it gets worse.

@TheVeryMostPaw, you should probably call your doctor right away and see what they recommend you do.  Don't wait.  The earlier you treat it the better.

@jofranceI was told to self quarantine for two weeks in my house unless I have a lot more difficulty with chest pain or the awful disorientation I had last night and this morning, but I'm doing well now... Unfortunately I have a very pressing dental issue-I ended up breaking two of my teeth when I felt down the stairs and landed poorly because of another medical issue that is causing vertigo and that was also yesterday but I certainly can't go to a dentist in circumstances like this so I'm pretty much done for... I wish I had a little novocaine gun for the home because nothing from the drugstore is doing a damned thing and then the guy who cuts the grass tells my fiance he can get all kinds of stuff that kind of made me think"do I really want someone who brags about this to be 'shaving the Earth' (as my grandma who spoke little english used to say) in my 80 year old mom's yard without someone keeping an eye on him? 'so we are getting by but when I read Elsa's description of the way things are where she lives, it's just like another world entirely, I don't know what I would do if I had to navigate through such a laid back yet independent vibe after the last few months here where people call each other A-holes in Sam's Club and the line at the Speedway if anyone stands a millimeter closer than the pre-marked social distancing spots on the floor that are outlined in duct tape and roped off and clearly spaced in case you didn't get it the first two times they firmly suggested it with graphics featuring what would be smiley face people except that they realized that they had to draw a mask on the smiley part at least at Speedway which is where my nephew and I went at the beginning of this spring before I had really seen the whole world after the governor closet the state the first time, and I was in line because we had gotten fountain drinks and I stood too close to a guy in line for his comfort because he yelled "six feet apart, A***hole!" and I was really just taken aback, I don't shock easily either but that did it!

Went to sam's club today. Roughly 1/3 had no mask. Another 1/3 had them on, casually. Either around their neck or just covering their mouth.

Today I went to my local Pakmail and they greeted me by name! It reminded me of my college days when I'd go to the bank and this one teller recognized me the minute I walked in the door.

This is what I want to see more of. ☺  Wear a mask or don't wear one--just be nice!! Be PEOPLE.

These politicians that impose covid restrictions....and then don't follow them themselves are reprehensible! Gavin Newsom, Nancy Pelosi, Lori Lightfoot, Witmer....all of them...I just can't stand them.

Gavin Newsom has a big birthday bash at a resteraunt....but you have a curfew. Don't have Thanksgiving with your FAMILY if they don't live in the same household....then Pelosi organizes a steak dinner for her new Dems. So typical.
