Is anyone else feeling the Mars/North Node conjunction going on right now?

I have been using bits of time, here and there, to work on building and researching my family tree. Thank God for databases--other people have built their trees and done extensive research before me, so it makes things easier. Oh yeah, DNA results help, too, so you know what parts of the world your immigrant ancestors should be coming from. (I have to be careful about going on wrong information, dates, names, whatever. Sometimes I've put someone in the wrong part of the tree and had to correct it. And old records cause inconsistencies in research, too--gah! Like two captains with the same first and last name, different birthdates and places. Or three (!) guys with the same name, but one is a war veteran.

Anyway, the results have been absolutely mind-blowing. Mom was under the impression that my birth father was a simple country man from the family similar to the Darlings on the Andy Griffith Show. A bunch of backwater hicks. As I go up the family tree several generations (either grandparent) I am finding a very different picture. These are New World immigrants, Revolutionary War soldiers, doctors, authors, etc. I am amazed at what I'm finding! I also found a guy from the 1600s who married a woman at an Indian reservation ("unknown possible Indian descent") and he was later killed there. It goes on and on. I have to limit myself because my eyes glass over and also I'm working two jobs and helping my housemate who has dementia. So kinda busy at the moment. Still doing the Gemini juggle, though!
