Okay, so I'm not totally clear on business anything, but this sounds like "if I'm not ONLY on social media, my business dies." Is that correct? If so, I'm sorry to hear it.

I don't run any business and probably never will because I cannot handle it, but at the same time it also seems like if a lot of people see you on social media, then you get people trying to destroy you. I have various websites for my own amusement and I don't get traffic/read--and that is fine by me because if I was seen, I'd be destroyed. It's so easy to make everyone mad these days.

I have no suggestions here, unfortunately. Either you cave in and tweet/Instagram/TikTok/whatever or...but since so many bad things happen with those places, I can't in all honesty say "go for it!" either. I don't know. I'm just sorry it's an issue.

@jenfullmoon thank you. And I do think you misunderstood but it's probably my fault.

Social media is not the answer. I know this but won't go into it because few if any would believe or understand me.

I think videos help my business just because it shows a whole person not just Mars conjunct Mercury. But I will not be taking off on youtube or anywhere else, because of what these platforms are really up to. Hint - it's not service or anything benevolent.

What I am saying is I am nearly de-listed and eventually (unless there is some insane intervention) I will be de-listed. In the old days, I could write something it and it could help somebody ten years after the fact. Now you can't find the thing that will help you. It's a big change.

So the website is not cheap to maintain and like everything else, the cost is rising.  I'm at a point, I could just write a newsletter - this site would be a store. Like if you want to hire me you can.  But I would not be looking for traffic or to grow the site because there is no traffic I can access because "search" controls 99% of all traffic.

Today I write and some people read but I can't grow and there will always be attrition. I also put my ideas out to be stolen, which if you watch the comments, happens every single day.  So I am beyond "diminishing returns" at this point. I am at "diminished returns".  Just think about working at your job and 98% of what you normally earn from your labor is taken away. How motivated would you be to continue?

At this point in my life, I do have to work and of course, I like to work.  But if this site was a store and I wrote newsletters and made videos, you can see what I mean.  It's not a stupid idea.

On the other (Libra) hand, there are upsides to having your platform. You just pay for it in many ways and the "returns" of all kinds are down as the prices rise.

This is like wanting steak, but seeing the price and buying hamburger.  I will be a good cook, regardless.

It's really a Saturn Uranus deal. I need to try new things to see what, if anything, might work.

I’ve been on Tiktok a short time, and pretty much every creator I like and/or follow has been slapped on the wrist by Tiktok. The Sassy Nurse even did a video calling them a “bag of dicks” and flipping them off on camera 🖕🏻 (he’s an Aries). 🤣

Allie That RN also called out Tiktok for trying to push her into their mold (she is constantly confronting her trolls and TT itself has tried to suppress her videos—she’s had some string words for them too.

So I can see why you’re hesitant to go to platforms like that. Not sure what the answer is if you’re going to stay online. It’s getting rough out there.

How about creating an elsa facebook group that keeps linking articles to this blog too ?

I think people don't join forums anymore, but still read articles. This way the duscussions/ interaction can happen in the group, while bringing new followers to the main site too

Am in a very active astrology facebook group where people are looking for the exact information you are providing.

I don't post much, but I have been following this site for more than a decade now, it would break my heart to see it discontinued

The group can be linked to your current facebook page, this way we can familiarize people with your content by sharing your posts in those groups

@resurgam I post links on Facebook to all blog posts. I used post links to my newsletter as well but threw in the towel last week. No one or rather, very few people see the content. It's called shadowbanning.  I'm free to post all I want but it won't be seen. This blog is similar at this point.

I guess people don't realize, it's not the people's internet. The internet is controlled, more so by the day. I have been boiling like a frog for 10 years. 🙁

I did have an idea for my book. I'm going to turn it into an NFT.

Matter of fact,  if this blog goes down,  I may offer other content in that form. I'm learning about it now.

I think the internet is moving into something you pay for. Micro payments, perhaps.

I'm sorry. I don't want it this way. I loved everything free and open. But the internet isn't like that anymore.  Search for images. You can see it's all coming down. Being erased.  Disappeared.

@elsa I think because the page is with only links and titles it might be confusing to newbies in astrology who still don't undertand those terms. The facebook group would provide the community, along the way people would be intersted in learning more in depth

Writing books would be a great idea too, it's your stories that keeps me coming back to this site.

We would be grateful to have you in any form you choose
