Hey, I had a bit of a query in the Random thread and four people have responded so I'm bringing it out the random thread.

OK, so, quick question. Of a personal nature but hopefully can be discussed without too much fuss. I am not anticipating a lot of responses to this which is why I didn’t start a thread but I suppose I would have to on the possibility there were responses.

Regarding my ‘half sister’ through my fathers side:

  • Father was about 50 years old with arthritis.
  • Half sisters mother was about 35.
  • My mother tried again and again with my father and after a few months thought she was infertile before I came along. So there is a chance my father wasn’t super fertile.
  • They tried one brief moment, in a relatively ‘dry garden’ for my “half sister” to be conceived.

Is it possible that my half sister is genetically related to me? Can a woman time her cycles like that? She has refused a DNA test without me having asked her. I assume no btw.

Would have forgotten it just that dreams flagged it as an issue.

...

It was an open and shut case before this for me but I did note that my dream state never commented on that aspect of things. But my more accurate than not dream state tagged this as an issue for me recently and seemed to indicate that we “were” genetically related. The probability for me has gone from 10 we were 90 we’re not to about 50- 50 now.

To further clarify as I didn't at the time the half sister is with a supposed common blood relative of the father!

I had previously researched this online as much as possible but had come up empty.

There were some responses I won't summarise: Libra Noir, DarkAquarian and Sue Ellen.

There has been a point made that perhaps I should not trust any particular science, or to not consider it "gospel". I think this has some validity in that when I actually looked up on wikipedia studies on female fertility one of the main studies has about 450 people! That is statistically insignificant. It is not enough people. So there is validity to that.

Also, I am a pretty hard conspiracy theorist so do not have a lot of trust in authority. I heard something recently that jet fuel is not actually used to fly anything and the reason that this isn't made public is because the actual mechanisms used work rather like a free energy device. I don't believe that but don't discount it. That's the level of trust I am at with the establishment.

Even so though, some science or info is better than none and some of it does gel with common sense.

There is an additional point some women stay fertile into their 40's. This is more than just stated on this forum.

In general the subject is dead I think. The situation with my sister is that after my father died I made loads and loads of effort. I brought christmas and birthday presents, I tried to make arrangements and other things and these were generally rebuffed with this individual and it has got to the point where that particular bridge is burned. Would seem indulgent to describe any further.

If you and your half sister share the same father, you're genetically related through him. Yes, a woman can time her cycles to determine when she is ovulating. Its called the rhythm method and was very common in the 50's and 60's when I grew up. It wasn't the most reliable method of birth control, but if a woman was very regular with her cycles it did somewhat work.

You know, for another synchronicity. I watched a MGTOW guy whose behaviour, inflection, pretty much everything was EXACTLY LIKE MY FATHER, that is the only other place I had heard that. 'If a woman is timing her cycles...'
