I am watching a special on the "Kennedy Curse" and I wonder if such a thing does exist... Do you guys believe in family curses?

This is so interesting. I've always thought my family was lucky and blessed but I do also see some families who are plagued by tragedies. ?

I'm not sure. I had a childhood friend that I knew would not die of old age because she had so many close calls, most of the time I was with her but I have Jupiter in Cancer in the first house so I have always been lucky. She was killed in a plane crash when we were 28, she died on her mother's birthday with her only sister waiting at the airport for her to land. I always said she was like the Kennedy's not a matter of if, but when.

Yikes, Tam.

I wonder if it's a karma thing? Like one person did so many bad things that generations then pay for it? but then again why would someone pay for mistakes they never made?

Let's say someone in a family is horrendous. My father was like this. He did not have to be. He CHOSE to be.

I was affected by the choices he made.
My children were affected by me.
Their children will be affected by them...and on it goes.

People used to be afraid of pissing off God. Now people think they have control no only of themselves but of others; they can dictate outcomes and consequences...well based on what I can see they're wrong to the point where their ideas are ludicrous. And the problems caused by a person's misdeeds impact other family lines as well.

For example, what happened to affected my husband when we met as teenagers.

So yeah. People out there doing as they please without regard for others and very likely cursing their families. The more a person looks around and witnesses this, the more inclined they may be to do right, even when it is hard or unpleasant or whatever.

But I think people avoid thinking along these lines for this simple reason: they can play dumb / continue do whatever they want as opposed to examining their life. Just say, "I don't know" and you're home free, at least in your own little bubble there. Smile
