I wanted to make a thread for dreams/dream interpretation (I think this has been done before, but I’m not sure). Sort of like the “Random Thoughts” thread, but for dreams. This would be for anyone to come and tell about their dreams, or to help other people interpret their dreams.

I guess I’ll go first, with my most recent dream: I dreamt I was driving behind a van, on a road close to my neighborhood. Suddenly, I noticed someone (a man) held a small toddler outside the van, while moving, in order to scare the toddler so it would stop crying. He also had a gun to this baby’s head. The baby was hysterical. I moved up close to the van in order to read the license plate number (aware that I could be killed) the license plate read: 141 141. I called 911 and while crying, explained I had just witnessed child abuse and gave them the details; like, licence plate number and what the man and little girl looked like.. The operator on the other end of the line vanished, I thought we had lost connection, so I waited for them to call back. I kept worrying because I wasn’t sure if they got all of the details of the incident. No call back… I woke up shortly after.

When I dream of specific numbers or words I always try to google them and see what comes up.  Did you try looking up that number set? (141 141)?

No, but good idea. Multiples of 8 follow me around these…during my Saturn return, 4’s were everywhere. I’m going to look it up now. 🙂

ETA: I think this dream means I am the only one who can help myself. No one understands my situation but me, because I guess I suck at explaining it. And I’m probably running out of time. The numbers supposedly mean this (this is from Joanne Sacred Scribes Angel Numbers and there was more to the meaning, but):

“Number 141 also encourages you to put your ideas into action. Trust yourself and your inner-promptings and begin that new venture or project. Your will and effort will bring about the desired results that you work towards.”

Last night I dreamed I was at my dad’s youngest sister’s house (not her house in real life). I was standing outside with her daughter (my first cousin) and we were looking at the house across the road that was for sale. It was an old house and she wasn’t that interested in it, I said “walk over here in the yard and check out this view”. The view was stunning, you could see the mountains, the river and the cemetery were my maternal grandparents are buried. I was blown away but I have no idea why I thought my cousin from the other side of the family would love seeing the cemetery.

In real life my maternal grandparents and great grandparents are buried in a truly beautiful location. I don’t think I have ever dreamed of that sister of my father or her daughter. This year I have been making and effort to visit my aunt every few weeks so this may be why it came up.

Nice dream, Tam. I wonder if the house represents you. It being old and for sale might represent something about your inner state of being. You could be longing for belonging. Your cousin not being interested could mean you feel like these other relatives can’t replace your maternal grandparents but you long to share some of your inner beauty with them, which comes from your grandparents and their special place in your heart. (beautiful location)

Within the last couple of weeks my daughter (she’s almost 4) has suddenly become interested in dreams. The first thing she asks me every morning is, “What did you dream about?” “O que você sonhou?” Sometimes she remembers her own dreams, sometimes she doesn’t… but I love it, because it’s such an interesting and beautiful little window into her.

Tam, maybe you sense that your dad’s family is losing something precious and you can’t get them to realize it. They are taking something or someone for granted.

Whatever it is, it’s something your mom’s family has that they don’t.

That’s just my impression.  You know I like doing these 😉

PIseas – do you feel burdened by some sort of moral obligation that you feel actually belongs to someone else? Give it some thought.  🙂

My sister messaged me this week and said she dreamt that our mama was laying on white sheets with me and my twin curled on either side of her and my older sister at her foot and my middle sister in her arms. Made me cry!

My paternal grandfather was killed when my dad was 8 which made life extremely difficult for them, they were minutes away from being taken by the state when my great aunt saved them. Also my paternal grandmother’s mother died when she was young as well and was raised by her sister that would later save her children. Then my dad’s brother killed himself when he was 50 so there is a starkness that is hard to describe in my dad and his two sisters.

I’ve been having really powerful dreams lately, too. Well, any dream I remember is a powerful dream to me. I was reminded recently after a particularly scary dream that a common interpretation of people in dreams is that they all represent a part of yourself.

So if you look at your dream like that you are the baby and you are the man with the gun and you are you and the operator, too. The baby is your potential and the vulnerable part of yourself. The man with the gun is the part of you that doesn’t want you to be vulnerable or possibly fears your success. You in your dream is the part of that recognizes that the man with the gun is thwarting your life. The operator is the part of yourself that knows what’s happening but isn’t fully available/willing to help you rectify the issue.

If you put that into perspective with the number interpretation I think you got a super powerful message about self-sabotage and trusting yourself.
