Interesting how separate this subject is sometimes from astrology even though they are both classified as ‘new age’.

Feels more personal than I thought it would be before I posted this. I have felt strongly I have a relationship with one or another stone.

I have a set of 10, 6 I brought recently and when I feel my spirit take a downward dive I get one of them and have slept with one for the past few days.

One, a black stone, is very good for grounding and that one is great for if you have a problem to just be into your own stuff and not to have to fuss with people.

Another, an orange stone, has seemed to encourage good playing and the night I had this during the day I just picked up the guitar and, due to previous practice of scales, started to play something in the Hendrix style. Have to get your key right all the way up the fret board because part of it is to be able to play at the bottom and then shoot to the top and stay in the right key.

Today I used another one, a dark brown/ ruby red stone that gave an effect that… seems positive, could indeed be very positive, but, I’m not quite sure what to do with the insights.

Anyone regularly use crystals?

I use them all the time. I mean gemstones… I hope I got this right: by crystals, you mean stones with certain properties?

If so, them I’m one of the persons who uses them on a daily basis…  I choose my jewelry according to the gemstones they have and their properties. I have several places all around and keep one in my pocket/ bag depending on the energy I need.

I discovered these healing therapy when I had a very difficult period n my life and then Lapis Lazuli was a very soothing companion, so to say… since then I’m a believer in this kind of healing.

I read about stones. gemstones etc and choose them based on certain properties and also based on what kind of stone attracts my eye. Curiously, the stone that catches my eye has always been a stone that I need close (after doing research about it).

Blue and white stone make it for me. Blues ’cause they awake the communication chakras (I have lots of Mercury energy in my chart) and whites because they calm my very restless nature.

I absolutely love gemstone. I’ve been trying an experiencing with many of them, so that now I’m familiar with their energy and know what suits me.

I have a pretty superficial relationship with crystals at the moment tbh, I have a small collection which I bought for aesthetic reasons more than anything spiritual. I like crystals as jewellery too, pretty much the only necklaces I buy are wire wrapped crystals. I do want to start learning more about the different properties of crystals though and working with them more intensely. I’ve started wearing a piece of green Aventurine in my bra most days (I feel like skin contact is important) for good luck and prosperity throughout the day. I like it. It definitely makes me feel good knowing it’s there. My only hesitation is that I’m not sure to what extent it’s just a placebo effect rather than the crystal actually doing anything. So yeah, not fully sold yet but eager to be convinced.

Ive read something that kind of resonated with me about crystals. It might for others. It was basically saying the due to the molecular structure of crystals, they accept our intention for it.

So it is the placebo effect, but its more like, it offers itself as a symbol. I dont think they necessarily have any inherent properties or meaning, other than their ability to absorb and magnify our intention. But I think that of everything. So you could believe that a certain stone will offer you this or that, and the belief makes it so. If someone doesnt believe it will work, the crystal cant or wont violate that belief. Its just one theory, but I kinda like it.

I personally, do have a few I keep around and some I wear as jewelry. I love rose quartz and clear quartz. I dont know why. I dont really “use” them. I just like to hold them every once in a while. I like that they come from the Earth.

Im not attracted to dark stones.

That’s interesting, so it’s like the crystals help to stimulate the law of attraction by encouraging you to believe. The Aventurine isn’t lucky in of itself, but it does make me luckier because I believe I’m lucky when I wear it. I really like that explanation. It makes a lot more sense to me now, thanks   smile

I tried to believe in stones as remedies for different things, back when I was studied Vedic astrology. But they never did a thing for me.

They are completely ineffectual in my experience, though the idea is cool.

I carry a jade heart in my pocket every day, it’s a warm rock. I have a Virgo Moon I love rocks. I found a white quartz rock in my backyard the is the exact outline of my state.

There has to be something to it because every computer on earth has a quartz in it to keep time.

I use crystals.. Way into them recently. I’ve always had them around.. people have given me them as gifts & such. But lately I have been buying my own & meditating with them. They definitely have energy within them.

I was reading something out of my book “Crystal Bible” last night.. i will share it on here.

“Crystals work through vibration, rebalancing the biomagnetic sheath that surrounds and interpenetrates the phsycal body & activating linkage points to the chakras that regulate the bodys vibrational stasis.”

“Crystals are piezoelectric, which means that electricity and sometimes light is produced by compression. This property is harnessed in ultrasound machines which use a piezoelectric crystal to produce a sound wave. That sound wave is being applied at the leading edge of surgery. A tightly focused beam ultrasound can carterize wounds deep within the body & blast tumors apart without invasive procedures.”

I’ve experienced a lot of spiritual healing by meditating with them.

They’re beautiful. Some may say it’s a great placebo if you’re in a bad place! I have never used them, though.

I do not personally believe they are placebo or the result of ‘the law of attraction’.

Case in point, I brought one that was factually a false crystal. It’s call ‘opalite’ (melted glass!). I didn’t like the feel I got from it. I did get AN energetic feel but it felt like that energy ‘pasted’ over me.

That’s the difference between human energies and something more holistic.

I also have had times when I thought something about a crystal and someone else told me they thought it was just my intention working on it, and that part of the energetic property ended/ broke. But with some crystals the power is quite another thing.

To say a stone doesn’t have it’s own properties in my view is disrespectful to the stone. Rather like saying a tree is not a living being.

I was just pointing to something I had read. Wish I could find i.

Not sure if I totally agree, Id have to experiment more. But I didn’t explain it well. Heres more.  What I didnt mention was that, according to this article (and this was the part that actually resonated the most for me), was that the crystalline structure of a crystal or stone mimiced the crystalline structure of the matrix/Universe we live in/dream we are having. So that they work as powerful symbols and magnifiers of intention because of the way that they are so in sync with the structure of life itself.

In one of my circles of friends, while visiting her, she placed one huge crystal in each hand. The sensation and experience were beyond words. I started sweating profusely.

Pretty amazing! What type of cristals were they?

And does your friend have an explanation for this?

A have a piece rock crystal quartz, but don’t use it for any effects.

Also I’ve read that crystals have to be “purified” regularly (soaked un mineral water, I think) to renewtheir energy, but I suppose all crystal lovers know this.
