I love gold too! There are ceilings in churches in England that have a blue background with gold stars.
The “circle things” on what looks like a sheer scarf remind me of Pacific Northwest first nation art.

That’s a lot of work with hand tools! I wonder at the significance of the pattern of wood (what we would call trim) on top of the blue boards. That is a lot of handmade miter cuts.
