The thread about the Scorp who had a birthday a few days ago and whether or not he had Sagittariarius rising made me think about this one. This is one of my very good goat friends. He's got Pisces Moon and his mom was thinking he could have been born at two different times, she couldn't remember which was his and which was his older sister. I'm just going to put him out here and see if I get any

@eleanor-d I get that impression too. I wonder if his Sun has progressed into Aquarius now? I was thinking of the attire. It's almost looks like a mix of Sag, Cap and Aq. ?
@eleanor- I think his Pisces Moon is a really big influence on him. He's super empathic and psychic and he just... Sometimes he just looks picean. The hair is naturally blonde but he had just come off a few tour dates with a band and he tend to dye it black or red when performing. I think his Mercury is in Sagittariarius but the hat was from the softball game he had just finished playing. Though he does wear them backwards usually. He's got a Pisces Saturn too.
He has a similar look to someone I know whose a Sagittarius with a Cap stellium including Jupiter, and Pisces moon. Since the other 2 sings are represented, I'm going to guess Sagittarius is the rising.
Other guess would be Scorpio or Cancer. I get a slight Leo vibe too. Can you tell us his Saturn and Jupiter placements?
@strawb I really like where you are going with this because I am sure planetary placements also exert an effect on the appearance. They have to, because some people buck the trend, don't they? ?
I find the Sun ruler placement and ascendant ruler placements have a strong influence, both looks & personality, along with the Moon of course

Bit Scorpio, bit Leo, tiny little wee bit Sag (forehead). That's me in a nutshell... Although, I've got to admit , the old Leo mane certainly ain't the colour it used to be! ?
Thank you, truly, as I never quite got my head around appearances because they are as varied as we are. This narrows it down a lot for me and is so simple to work with. Clearly one of the ABCs I overlooked ?

- @strawb I accidentally replied to @Eleanor on the sag rising thing. Easily confused by forum replying and not just here. Gemini Jupiter and Pisces Saturn. The two times I have that could be his, one of those is Scorpio and the other is Leo and I don't feel a Leo vibe from him at all.
He's my best friend and he has an ex who has serious prejudice against anything Scorp even though it is her sun sign. She's trying to push herself back in his life and the other two times they were together were nearly apocalyptic... She's very into astrology also.
He's got mercury in Sagittariarius.... I found another pic from when we had a show together in New York and this might be more telling. I have dozens of pictures from the last 20 years and he looks like he's mad in most of them! I said to him yesterday I would get some second and third opinions on the ElsaElsa forums so I think I brought it to the right place.
Oh here is one of him and his mom. In the chart I think is the correct one (Scorpio asc) his Jupiter is in the 8th and Moon and Saturn in the 4th I think.
I just get almost no Leo from him but he attracts Leo women and the one that is bugging him now has Leo Moon and Rising and a big tattoo of the Leo glyph on her shoulder.
Tough call, I had both Scorpio and Leo in my guesses too. Sagittarius could be the Mercury influence then. I def sense strong Jupiter energy but could be courtesy of the Pisces Moon/Saturn and Sagittarius Mercury.
Seeing more pics now, there's a playfulness to him and a certain flair to his style that vibes Leo rising. Also, Leo risings are given to performance, being on stage, being creative, and also working in artistic/musical fields courtesy of their Taurus Mc. I could see a Leo rising with Pluto in the first house, putting his Moon&Saturn in the 8th, because he does have a darker edge about him as well. Saturn being dispositor of his Sun therefore in the 8th can also explain the Scorpionic vibes.
However, I can also see the Scorpio rising putting his Pisces Moon & Saturn in the 5th and also explain the artistic creative side with a creative/performance career of a Leo MC.
I'm leaning a bit more towards Leo rising but it's a tough call. Leo risings have a sunnier disposition, they are warm upon first meeting, more fun loving, where a Scorpio rising is more reserved and cool, warms up over time.
In this case, I would see if he has any Scorpio or Leo planets that would be rising and if you could see which one might match him better. Angular planets or aspect the ascendant color the ascendant a lot too, see where his chart ruler would fall with each case.
I get really into this stuff, feels like solving a puzzle?

@strawb Please forgive me Strawb, as I may be pointing out the obvious, but has anyone charted his horoscope and tried to identify his Ascendant through the house positions of the planets? e.g. Comparing Saturn in Pisces in House 8, or 9, if he was known to be born after sunset, for example, or even using the Moon as a reference point for that matter? I found that focusing on one planet and seeing how it behaves in various houses is a good technique to use for narrowing down the time, if the person the horoscope pertains to is at least willing to participate. Please forgive me if this has already been done, I just know it has worked for me before now..
@strawb Thanks Strawb ? I used that technique on a former girlfriend and got a really good result. I managed to chart her progressions, too, which ended up being eerily accurate. ☹️
